Still waiting!!!

I have just cancelled our Alaskan Cruise for July next year, the flights from the UK were just too expensive I am now looking for something in Europe to replace it, but keep feeling so sad for my dd who is 7, when I think of how much she enjoyed the Magic.

I still have a placeholder with DCL for when the 2013 dates come out, just in case they are in Europe again. However, if next years alternative cruise goes well, we they may lose us as a repeat customer anyway.

Hurray up DCL, I don't think we will be waiting until the beginning of next year to sort out 2013, there are too many incentives with other lines to book early!

I've been looking at other cruise lines too, as flying over the pond for a DCL cruise is wayyyy too expensive for us too. So unless DCL do come back to the Med, they have lost us too, at least whilst we are tied to school hols, which will be for another 15 years until I retire!

And how does onboard Rebooking work when they are waiting so late to announce the dates/ itineraries. If we cruise in Jan 2012, I would want to rebook onboard for the next winter, but not knowing where the ships will be makes it hard. I would hate to miss out on the rebooking discount.

Just book anything that is available (dummy cruise) and when the new dates are released you can move your "dummy" dates to the actual cruise you want to take. You will retain the 10% discount and OBC. If the deposit on the new cruise is more you will have to pay the difference.

I believe 2012 wan't released until April of 2011. I'm pretty sure I wasnt able to book for July 2012 until early April this year. The good side to this is I'm not waiting almost 2 years for the cruise like my last one.

Yeah, just checked our Magic NYC cruises, and my confirmation says 4/11/11, and we booked the first day that silvers were allowed to book.

If they do the same for 2013 ... this thread is going to be a loooong 5 months!

I totally agree. Since Disney has been slipping it under the radar and not even giving advance notice to TAs of late, AND they delay letting you book online until it goes public, I check here every morning for the past two weeks instead of the DCL site I figure someone will know and post that ressies have opened.

Early 2012 dates were released October 19, 2010. Fantasy late 2012 dates were released in March 2012 and the rest of the ships for late 2012 was April 2011.

I'm another who is checking here daily ... and let me tell ya, I get a bit antsy if I can't get on until lunch hour, after work, or later in the evening!

While we already moved a dummy date to a cruise (4-Day Dream Bahamas for March Break 2013) that we wouldn't mind taking ... we're keeping our fingers crossed for something out of New York. With 8 of us travelling in 3 staterooms, locking in those early prices is something I really hope we can do.

I just hope they don't release the dates in late December/early January as I'll be in WDW then and won't be checking these boards daily!!!

I check here daily before looking at DCL's website! Getting kind of fed up waiting now - I never mind how far away a holiday is so long as it's booked!
