2013 dates

... and if I remember correctly, last year there was a special email sent out when the cruise dates were announced, so that even people who do not check this thread every day knew about them.

But I'm still checking every day, just in case. :)

UPDATE: The 2012 itineraries were announced on October 17, 2010.

That's what I was hoping for, just like the email for the new Hawaii sailing they just announced. Then you have to call Disnet directly right?

Do you think it will open up to Disney Visa people first-that would be nice???

I think we're working ourselves up into a tizzy over this. :rotfl:

As a Silver, I know I won't be able to make my reservations until after the Gold and Platinum members make theirs so I'm just going to use those extra days to relax and to contemplate where I really want to go ... (pssst...please...please ... Europe ...) :)

I have a question about transferring a dummy date. My travel agent has instructions to transfer our booking as soon as the dates come out. I'm assuming the deposit we paid will no longer be sufficient. Will she have to charge the new amount as soon as she transfers it, or will they let her put it on hold for the day until she can get ahold of us to confirm the new amount?

Does that make sense?

You and me both!!!! :rolleyes1popcorn:::surfweb:

I can't believe it's October! I have been waiting for almost a year to book our 2013 cruise! Now that the time is almost here, it feels so surreal! We are booking for the 06/08/13 sailing and hoping that one is the Western itinerary (based on past sailings and the 2013 docking websites, that's probably correct). We already decided on two verandah staterooms on deck 7 or 8, midship. I'm so anxious that I don't know what to do with myself!

Yes, they will be able to have a hold on the reservation while they contact you and get your OK for the cruise/stateroom/rate. I don't know how many days the hold is, because I've always done my dummy transfers myself. This time my TA will be doing it and I think I'm going to have them put me on their list for a Fantasy Christmas cruise...and am hoping it will be a longer cruise/special itinarary. :thumbsup2

There's no doubt about it, the obsession has taken on a new level. Midnight rolled around last night and hoping, even though there was no email, maybe just maybe the new itineraries would be up. Now, each day in October will be a waiting game. Since DCL told me late Summer early Fall every day in September was an obsession of checking and rechecking the website every day numerous times a day to see if there was an announcement, now the cycle continues. UGH!

Hi all!

Adding our name to the list of people waiting for 2013 iteneraries! :surfweb:

So, newbies have to waits few days to book? How many days? Also, are the new itineraries available for review the same day the dates are announced? I hope so. That way I can be all prepared with a few potential trip options when the time comes for me to book.

Woohoo! October is here!! Should be any time now... The people cruising this month should know. When rumors about the new itineraries for 2012 surfaced, we were on the Wonder that time and the DVC employees and the inboard booking person let us know when the booking opened.

For example, on this most recent case, the October 2012 cruise to Hawaii, Gold and Platinum CC memebers got to use their early booking perk on Friday and booking for the general public (and silver CC) opened on Monday. Sometimes it is only a 24 difference between the two. This particular cruise isn't even going to show up on the DCL website till the 5th so a lot of people don't even know it exists if they don't A) have a travel agent that alerted them; B) hang out on Disney fan sites; C) monitor DCL facebook/tweet posts.

Sometimes the 'warning' only comes a day before the early booking date and there is little time to mull over anything. Which is why a lot of G&P CC people put rooms on hold that might be released in a couple of days.

Hoping to take my children on what they call the "Mickey Boat" in 2013. Happy booking everyone

I so don't understand that decision by DCL...unless it is to not overload the website and keep it from crashing.
