Just checked into the YC and have a beautiful garden view room - that is mostly water view! Stress of the long work day just melted away.

I'm willing to offer myself up as guinea pig, but everyone'll have to wait until October for the results. :thumbsup2 That sounds SO good.

I will be there Oct 5 so I may beat you there! It is for my very picky DS who cannot comprehend the lack of Mickey Waffles or French toast sticks!
Thanks for the offer!! I think It sounds yummy personally!!

That's exactly the time I was talking about!! Arrival day lunch/desert!!! Thank you so much!

I see you tried France bakery for breakfast, was this at 9:00 opening? Was it crowded?

The bakery wasn't crowded at all. We were there just after opening at 915. We were able to sit outside at a shaded table and let DD run around (between bites of quiche). DH wasn't impressed with the frou frou food but the chocolat brioche quieted him down. Surprisingly the espresso drinks there weren't good. Almost bitter. Strange.

I am still teaching through the 27th! Wife and kids are done though

My students will be so much smarter

Just got home from the graduation ceremony. It was nice but I am happy not to have to teach 16-18 yr olds until September

Hang in there:joker:
Has anyone tried the French Toast Bread Pudding at the Marketplace?

Pictures?

I can try in 10 days and report back, I will gladly accept this challenge:scratchin

Ah, coffee!!! My favorite subject!

Me too! Me too! Me too! Although I have schlepped my own Starbucks coffee to WDW on previous trips to avoid NesCrape, I would prefer being able to go somewhere on property to have someone else make my coffee and hand it to me. I actually drink LOTS of iced coffee year round, so having to drink not just hot coffee but cruddy hot coffee while on vacation really irks me. Why does Disney not know how to make a proper iced coffee?????

I would have been thrilled with the addition of Starbucks to Magic Kingdom if it had not replaced the Main Street Bakery. Waahhh!

AND.... in a useful but still unrelated to this resort tidbit, (is there ever anything else from NM???)....
The Poly had Joffrey's coffee at the stand next to the Kona Cafe. They also had that Kona coffee there, but for the life of me I will never understand why NO ONE in Walt Disney World can grasp the concept that ICED coffee is just coffee that is BREWED STRONGER and then poured over ice. They insist on taking regular strength coffee and then just pouring it (Hot!) over gobs of ice. :scared1: :headache: :sad2:  :sad2: :rolleyes1 :scared: :scratchin :crazy2: :faint::mad::headache:  pirate: :confused3 :furious:

This abomination is NOT iced coffee! It's luke warm coffee water slurry, which is unfit for man and beast! Think of all the money they are missing out on when the iced coffee lovers of the world come to the realization that they have nothing to drink in broiling hot WDW. Perhaps Buzzy and I will start an Iced Coffee concession! I hope he finally got around to taking those swimming lessons....

Pretty sure we are asking the impossible but where can we purchase the Lifeguard Mickey Mouse lamp found in the rooms at the BC?

The best iced coffee though is cold brew! Got a pitcher in the fridge right now- yum!!

I would have been thrilled with Starbucks coming to the Main Street Bakery if they'd brought just the coffee and left the rest...Starbucks pastries are just ok...

Prezackly! Wouldn't you think that people who live in a state where it's hotter than the hinges of he!! would know how to properly make iced coffee??? Gah!

You and Buzzy get set up, and I'll be first in line. But hurry, I'll be there in 3 weeks!

Yum!! I love me some cold brewed iced coffee! And I also make coffee iced cubes to keep mine cold while I'm drinking it without causing it to get watered down.

I'm with you on Starbucks pastries....meh.

Amen sistah! It's the nectar of the God's and Goddesses!

As for the baked goods.... what you are saying is that Buzzy and I have to get to baking to meet the needs of our newly minted concession stand customers. I wonder what Buzzy likes to bake??? Shoo Fly pie perhaps???

Teena, good luck to Bob on Monday!

I am also planning on trying the breakfast bread pudding when we're there in August. It sounds so good!

OK -- so how does one *cold brew* coffee?

When we go camping we brew in a large mason jar overnight and filter through a regular coffee filter. Room (air) temp, then put into our cooler-fridge if we are at home. So yummy.

Apparently when I posted on Thursday we were down to 55 days...YIKES even I am loosing track.

Kiddo's last day is Monday-although the elementary gals got their report cards Friday (such smarties I have!)...then VACATION and beaching it on Tuesday.

:hippie:

The single digits have arrived. Only 9 more days:rainbow:
