Does anyone have a picture of the menus from all the lounges at BC and YC with the operating hours as well? I'm really looking for the food offerings. Thank you!

Here's what I have on Page 1. It looks like the only menu I have that includes the food offerings is Martha's Vineyard.

So... If there is anyone going soon who is able to snap a photo of the food menus- that would be very helpful. I'll try to take care of that in a few weeks if nobody else has.

Not positive if the hours listed in the info below are correct.

Martha's Vineyard Lounge is open daily from 5:00 to 10 PM (last call 9:45) for appetizers and drinks.

Ale and Compass is located just off the Yacht Club Lobby.

Crew's Cup Lounge is next to the Yachtsman Steakhouse and offers cocktails, appetizers and meals from 12 noon to midnight.

How hard is it sit and eat at Boardwalk Bakery? Should I just plan on carrying back to BC?

Thanks

One negative aspect of our trip is that our cats get all mad and stressed when we go away. We have someone watch them but they still get their tails in a bunch

:rotfl2: Oh yeah, I get the cold shoulder when I get home. The last time we went to WDW I was foolish and left a favorite t-shirt hanging off the lower towel bar, when I returned it was shredded.

We’re back from our trip and had a good week - once we got there (the trip down was a horror story). Even though we stayed at OKW this trip (rented points) we did make it over to the YC one day. Once we got there, DW said she really missed it this trip, but never fear – we’re back at the YC for a few days in August after we drop off DS at college in Melbourne. Here are some highlights of the week:

DS19 did the Exotic Driving Experience and loved it! He got to drive 10 laps in a Ferrari and hit a top speed of 116 MPH!

We did the Keys To The Kingdom tour in the MK and it was great! Very interesting and informative and we spent over 30 minutes in the famous utilidors!

We had dinner one night at Shula’s Steakhouse in the Dolphin. Pretty pricey (glad I got the 20% Tables in Wonderland discount), but it was probably one of the best steak dinners I have ever had. DS and I had steak while DW had seared scallops, and all three dinners were excellent.

I would highly recommend all three of those.

I am seriously upset with Buzzy, because he did not meet me Wednesday morning to take me up on my all-expenses paid stay at Universal offer. He and some of his family did show up and “bug” us as we started on the KTTK tour at MK. Unfortunately, I did not have any bug spray with me, so I had to swat at him. That must have deterred him because he left us alone the rest of the day.

All in all it was a very good week, but I can’t wait to go to the YC in August to try a Sunken Treasure.

Glad you had such a nice trip!! Sorry your trip down was bad though :(

I know you are looking forward to the August YC stay !!!!!

Sneaking on while DH gets DD to bed. Hanging out on our balcony at BC sipping wine and gazing at the lighthouse with Dolphin beyond. This has been an amazing vacay. It started raining this afternoon while spending time at SAB and continued on. Our LO (17 mths) has discovered the joys of puddle jumping. Can't tell you how many people stopped to giggle as she squealed with delight. Wish I could bottle up the sounds of vacay. Heading out to run the boardwalk in the morning.

Found a bartender who made me a sunkin treasure (is that right?). Delicious!

Thank you! Thank you! For telling us about the bakery in France. Had soup and quiche from there for dinner tonight. Delicious! Sneaking over there tomorrow for a croissant and coffee after my run. It's why I run!

I think this may depend on time of day and year. Was there this afternoon 1230 and there were plenty of places to sit.

Hello Beach Club friends,

Much has happened in the last day and a half. We are checking in next week and while the BC has been a surprise for my family, my hubby has been talking ALOT about staying on the monorail. Well today I changed to the Grand. I love the Grand Floridian, but I must admit the construction is making me a bit nervous. You tube videos make it look contained, but obviously visible. Reports on the boards is the noise is barely audible. I guess we'll see soon enough. Safe travels to all that are leaving soon. Robyn, I will still say hi at the Wishes Dessert Party. I hope you have a wonderful trip!
Dee, please take me off the list:)

Got back on Friday from the worst WDW trip we have experienced. Got food poisoning early in the trip, and spent lots of time alone in the room. Like many of you, I love going to WDW, and it is a hobby to help other books trips, save money, etc. However, it will take me a while to book another trip.

The first day we were there, we took a side trip to LEGOLAND. Got rained out right after lunch (there is nothing to do there when it rains), and came back to the BC. DS6 and DS8 were very anxious to eat. We had reservations at the Captain's Grille. We were seated within 5 minutes. However, it look too long to order, and even longer to get our food. After being there waiting an hour, I found the manager to complain. They then got busy and got us food. However, the pork they served me was very burnt. I couldn't believe it! I am not that picky, but really can't stand burnt food. The whole night was all so un-Disney like.

One really cool thing happened to us when we got back to the club level floor. We happened to be talking to the wife of Tom Kane (the voice of Yoda), and she asked us if we wanted Yoda's signature. We got to meet him and some of his family. Very cool!!!

On the second day, we went to the last Star Wars Weekends day. My boys enjoyed seeing the characters. We had lunch at the Brown Derby. Had the duck, which I did not enjoy. I really believe this is what made me so sick. I will never eat there again. We got to meet Teena on the way back into BC. I think my husband wondered how I knew who she was. Got very, very sick after we got back to the room. It took a full week to get better.

The BC was very nice. Our club level standard view was overlooking the pool, which was good. I didn't get to try the lobster rolls at the Boardwalk Bakery, or try anything at Hurricane Hanna's. I didn't feel like I was able to experience everything that the BC had to offer. However, I did learn something about myself. I don't feel like I am at Disney until I can see the castle, and see fireworks over the castle. When I am ready to return to WDW, I will want to return to the POLY. When was laying in bed sick, I wish I could have looked out the window to see the castle.

This sounds so awesome! Glad to hear what a magical:wizard: time you are having! So jealous!

We'll miss you - but have a fabulous stay at the Grand. When the kids were little we always stayed there. Loved the convenience of the monorail back then (when we spent most of our time at MK). We originally were going to do a split stay GF/BC this year since we have such a long trip, but the construction scared me away and DH is not a big fan of split stays.

See you at the Dessert Party - safe travels!

So sorry you got sick. You had me scared about the Captain's Grill ... I told you I was eating there the next night. Our dinner was great and service was great too. I am glad to know you just had a bad night there. I was ready to do battle if I had experienced what you had.

I totally understand how you feel about seeing the castle. That's what WDW is to you. Just like a lot of the Y&B guests: if they couldn't walk to Epcot and have SAB, they wouldn't feel they were at WDW. Everybody has something that makes a resort special to them. And although it's nice to sometimes try something different, when you love something so much, I think you should stick with what you love.

Hope you stay 100% healthy and I'm glad at least you had a good Star Wars experience up in the lounge!!

It was great meeting you!

That's exactly the time I was talking about!! Arrival day lunch/desert!!! Thank you so much!

I see you tried France bakery for breakfast, was this at 9:00 opening? Was it crowded?

Any BC fans attending next weekend's New England Dis Meet for GKTW?

Awesome Couchy :thumbsup2! Did you have to go on the old website? I'm stuck on the old disney website since yesterday, every time I try to go back to new website it takes me to the old one.

Ocalla- are you on old Disney website or new one?

Me either, it sounds super cool if it's true. I'd love to see characters dressed up for Halloween at BC/YC!

I am on the new website :)
