Well I think I'm all packed, my house is all cleaned up for any possible burglars, cats are lined up with a sitter....next is the drive to Baton Rouge to sleep for our early morning flight!!!

I wonder what the flight attendants would think if I ordered a drink at 6:00 in the morning ;). Hmmm probably wouldn't look good!!!!

Lets hope the worst if the rain is moving out by the time we arrive!!!

Have a fantastic trip! Can't wait to hear all about it. popcorn::

Remember, it's always 5:00 somewhere! :rotfl2:

Leaving now (12 hours earlier than planned) and decided to bite off the whole 17 hours of driving at one time just to get there. Thanks for the tips and figured with the weather being as foul here- why wait. Looking forward to our 1 night near DTD and then checking in BC early on Saturday so we can get an earlier start on the Disney fun. It looks like we will be driving in rain most of the time as we traverse the east coast. Hoping that Andrea has blown out of town by the time we get there!

If the thread needs info or pictures, let me know and I would be happy to fulfill a mission. Will try to do trip updates.

Here we go! :drive:

Hey, we are checking in to BC CL on Sunday...see you there!

To the people contemplating cakes -

Have you considered cupcakes instead?

Disney World has beautiful, tasty cupcakes. There usually are some at the Beach Club marketplace, but they're ordinary by Disney standards. There are great ones at Boardwalk Bakery, the Confectionery (Magic Kingdom) and Starring Rolls (DHS). They also can be found at Disney's Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney, and other hotels.

Check out the "Show Me The Cupcakes" thread on the restaurant board:

Thanks for sharing that!! I never would have thought of doing that!! We have a cupcake place here and I have been known to pick up a few different flavors and split it between whomever I am meeting, great way to try many different flavors!! It is now on my list to do!! Hoping I can get BOG reservations for my DSis's birthday!!

Hi Teena, Do you work in the CL lounge? I got the impression you did from previous posts. We will be the ones with two little blonde princesses.

No. I'm the lobby greeter/captain on Sundays and Mondays.

I would ask for both but put the daybed first to avoid any unmagical bickering.

Duly noted...thanks!

Would a rollaway be ok? If so, I would phrase your request:

"Full balcony, please. Daybed if possible- teen son and daughter on trip"

When you are at the checkin desk, ask if your requests were granted. If you get a room with a balcony, but no daybed, ask for a rollaway. If your requests aren't granted, you can ask if there will be a room that meets your requests the next day if you are willing to move.

Sounds like a plan! I think a rollaway would be fine. DS won't care where he sleeps as long as it's not next to his sister. :rotfl:

My thoughts :scratchin

Would it be OK if you and DD slept together and DH and DS slept together for one night if a rollaway was not available until the next night yet the room was perfect otherwise? IDK if I would be willing to move rooms if all I was waiting on was a rollaway...and this is from a mom in a family of 5. :grouphug:

WRT magic bands (again): hope they are made from allergen free material...

Thanks for weighing on for me! I think we'd be okay for one night if we had the promise of a rollaway thereafter. I'm with you.....I'd rather not move unless I absolutely have to, especially since the first 6 nights of our trip will be split between 2 off-property hotels. I don't want to make DH grouchy! ;)

Thanks bunches, everyone! I really appreciate your insight!

30 day market hit today and I am excited to get BCR! Moving houses this week, gramma passing away and BMW busted has me longing for a well deserved distraction and RR.

Congratulations on the 30 day mark! So sorry about everything your gramma, the move and the car.
I'm wishing some well deserved pixie dust your way! pixiedust:
