NOW you tell me......Geesh!

I'm sorry but that is just INSANE that the mugs aren't dishwasher safe! I buy mugs at WDW and US/IOA all the time and they've never peeled or caused me a problem. I would return it!

I am caught up now!!! (I think)

Post 15: Be Our Guest list

Please take a moment to check the Be Our Guest list to see if your information is correct. If you are missing or I need to make any changes, please let me know.

Thanks!

Dee

That is funny! It IS a small world. I just noticed that our dates at the resort coincide. So if you see a bigger version of Flat Ben, along with a teenager with a surly look on his face, a handsome man who looks a little bit like Anderson Cooper and a short, perky mom walking a few steps behind the others snapping photos, please say hello!

I will watch for you! This trip is just me (average size, red hair, and likely sporting a sunburn) and DH (average size, salt-and-pepper hair, tan).

We will look extremely happy because we won't have anyone else with us! I've done trips with just immediate family, with kids and both sets of grandparents at the same time, and with 100 high school students!

I asked on the beach club marketplace thread buy haven't received a response. I figure this thread gets more traffic, so I'll ask here. Anyone know if powerade is available on the dispensers for the refillable mugs? I'm thinking no, but wanted to check. What about sprite zero? I think these were both options at assp but can't remember if they were there when I moved to bcv. Headed down on thursday.

My 28 yr old brother & I are taking my DDs 2&5 to YC 5/15-5/18. We are booked standard room. After a lot of math & thinking I decided to upgrade to a CL room. I figured if my girls woke up early we could hang in the lounge and have breakfast while we let DB sleep and I also figure it would be nice for him at night to stop by the lounge for a drink it 2 while I put the girls to sleep. Well, I waited too long and all the standard CL rooms are taken only leaving very pricey water/lagoon rooms left. Oh we'll, there goes that plan. I'm still thrilled to be going to YC in 31 days!!

Arrived at YC yesterday evening! Got a very nice room - #5154 cl gv - wedding gazebo view, 2 queen beds plus a daybed. I will post pics when we get back!

Having a great time so far!

Hi,

BC questions.

We have requested a room with a daybed, if we get one, does the hotel provide bed rails? I have seen a picture with one on but not sure if that person brought their own.

Also, can anyone tell me if there are any ground floor patio rooms that are on the front of the building, this would be towards the car park??
I was going to request a ground floor( is this also called 1st floor in the US?) but didn't want to risk having a room at the front on the ground, they look much nicer on the back side of the BC.

Hope you understand me!!!!

Thanks

The resort will provide the bed rails for you.

I don't think there are any ground level rooms on the parking lot side of the BC. That is the back of the service areas. The first level of rooms on that side are on the third floor. Rooms on that floor overlook a wide, flat roof. Most of the garden view ground floor rooms face the woods and it is nice and quiet over there.

Got our 30 day email from Disney itinerary planners. Getting excited! Thanks to all for their quick service meal suggestions. Only family consensus right now is the consumption of Dole whip!

Our 30 days will be soon (we arrive 5/17). Do they send all CL guests an email or were they responding to a specific question?

They are suppose to send email but don't always.. BC didn't for me, one time Poly did another time they didn't & GF did.

Thanks TeenaS. Which would you recommend: first floor or full balcony? We're planning a low key trip with one day at Epcot and one day at HS so we can enjoy 2.5 days at the BC pool. TIA!

Do you spend any time on the balcony? I don't. I don't care about the view or balcony. The only time I'm in the room is to sleep, change clothes or shower and I draw the curtains.

Personally I prefer "close to lobby". Lots of people prefer close to Epcot.

So, if a balcony is a big deal for you, then request a full balcony for sure. If not, decide where you want to be and request that (close to lobby or close to Epcot).

Please remember no requests are guaranteed. Sounds like you aren't going to be in the room much so I'd probably request location over balcony.

Can't answer about email from IPO. Just don't know. Sorry. We did not make any special requests other than adjoining rooms though. 2 rooms CL.

What will I receive with the Magical Express mail? ( we arrive one week after you).

Jan

It had our neon yellow sticker tags for our luggage, one for each of us with our names. And it had a ticket for each of us to board the Magical Express. It also gives the itinerary for our flight arrival at Orlando, and directions to get to the Magical Express holding area.

Have not seen Powerade at BC the last few years, but we did stay a couple of nights at Sports before checking in to BC last year and I noticed the Powerade there. I am thinking it is due to the sports groups that stay there & go over to ESPN.

What a bummer ... but I would keep checking just in case a standard or garden view opened up! Sounds like it would work out great if one of the rooms opens up. What about a room at BC instead? I see standard club available there.

Hello everyone! I have been lurking on this thread for a few weeks, ever since I booked our first-ever trip to BC for July 20-26. You seem like a fun, friendly group, so I thought I'd finally say hello and introduce myself! I am Lynette, a longtime DISer. I used to be a frequent poster on the CB (among other places), but haven't been around much recently.

We have been to WDW several times, but have always stayed at AKL in a Savannah View room. That resort just feels like home to us! But this time around, DH has decided he really wants to mix it up and stay somewhere (anywhere!) different, so BC it is! Based on all the info and photos I've found here, I am sure my family and I will love BC, but I am secretly a tiny bit sad that I won't be staying at AKL. My kids, who really adore AKL too, were won over to BC when I showed them photos of SAB. Plus, we have the recommendation of a good family friend whose favorite resort is BC. We are fortunate enough that this friend even booked our stay for us using a CM Friends & Family discount. :goodvibes

We are actually going to be staying off-property from the 14th to the 19th (totally NOT my idea!), and then moving over to Beach Club on the 20th. So much of this trip is outside of our usual WDW trip that I am feeling angst-y about it. It goes against my inner control freak to delve into the unknown. :rotfl:

Now you all have WAY more info about me than you ever wanted. Feel free to shoot me suggestions about being a first-time guest at Beach Club. Do's, don'ts, whatever you've got! Nice to meet you all!

:yay: Yay! I can finally say please add us to the Be Our Guest List

We finally booked today. Just dh and I. We are celebrating a big anniv:love:

May 28- June lst Beach Club Standard CL and then switching to Yacht Club June lst to 4th lagoon view.

I asked this on another thread, specifically about drinks in the club level and then now I am reading that someone said there is no powerade in the marketplace. I am also wondering about non carbonated bottled drinks in the club lounge too. I cannot drink anything made with the Florida water, not even ice, sorry it makes me horribly sick. I need the bottled water to take my meds etc.

Just wondering if we should make our usual hess mini mart trip?

Also do they have bananas in the club lounge. I dont see any in the pictures that I have seen so far. I need them for my potassium def. Hence hess stop etc.

Teena - I will be the crazy cancer lady with the wheelchair who saw Justin Bieber in the lobby!:) Dh and I will stop by and say hi. :wave2:

TIA

Greetings all:

This is a quick note to let y'all know that I booked the Beach Club Club Level over Marathon weekend. I ran the Wine & Dine Half Marathon last year and stayed at on the club Level of the Beach Club. I booked the Beach Club because it was the closest hotel to the finish line in Epcot's parking lot. It was a short stagger back to the hotel after the run.

I'm running the full marathon this year, and the finish line for the marathon is also in Epcot's parking lot. So back to the Beach Club we go. It's not cheap, but I booked Club level again because the wonderful pre-trip planning assistance. Their advice and arrangements made the Wine and Dine trip very very enjoyable.

Rick

Do they allow you to cut throught the park for the start??? Please let me know how that works. I will look to stay BC DVC with some gifted points for the princess half next year. That would be perfect. The stress of the disney busses 2 years ago was irritating! Details please!

There is a bus that will pick the marathon runners up at their resorts on the morning of the race to take them to the starting place. It is usually at some really early hour like 3am.
