We've been planning our September trip for quite a while and I haven't been quite as excited as usually am. As soon as we decided to definitely book the BCR again I became 100 percent more excited about it. I almost feel relieved. We felt like we needed to try another resort but I couldn't imagine not staying at BCR again. Now I can't wait!!!

I love just falling out our resort and into Epcot. It's so awesome. I just decided that we don't need to try out lots of resorts and compare them. We found one we love and we just want to stick with it.

Mike- Thanks for posting the links about the Beach Club and Yacht Club holiday decorations. Wow!!!

I can't wait for my family to see these decorations!!!!! We are so excited. 17 more days!

Hello Hello Hello! Dee please add me to the YC/BC November 2014 list! I booked the bounce back offer this morning!! I saved $877!! DH and I will be staying 11/3-11/9 YC CL and then will be moving over to our DVC AKL CL for 11/9-11/14!

Can't wait! Love having a trip to plan for before leaving the trip i'm on now!!

Anyone else annoyed that BnC is doing adr's now. We enjoyed on our last stay being able to drop in impromptu. We tend to eat at weird times while on vacation, so for an early dinner...4ish we only waited 5 mins. Now I have to plan it out. We don't do many adr's anymore because we don't like all the planning. Grrrr...

I was thinking the same thing when I saw it today. Reservations are already available to make now. I was hoping to grab lunch here and there when we happen to be at the resort...nothing I want to have to PLAN to do. But now I would imagine the waits will only be longer for those without an ADR. I am hoping enough people won't know yet in Jan that it won't make a big difference for us. Or maybe will plan to try to hook up an ADR last minute on the app when we realize we will be there.

Sitting on the Balcony overlooking the entrance of the YC watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee. It's wam and quiet and i can her the birds chirping. This has been a magical stay so far and I think we have found our new Disney home! We had dinner at Beaches & Cream two nights ago, the food was wonderful, and we got to watch two different groups order the kitchen sink. The ice cream is thick, creamy and amazing, especially with hot fudge and peanut butter sauce!

Two more days and I never want to leave!

I hadn't heard. But when we stayed in August last visit the waits were horrendous. So I'm glad you can get a res. and if you go during off times, you can still prob wait standby.

It is freezing cold here, currently 10 degrees with a wind chill of 5 degrees. My eyeballs froze walking past Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower) on my way to the train last night. So there is no better time to have the double digit dance. That's right, it is only 99 days until we check into the Beach Club and warm weather.

We bought annual passes for the first time ever when we were at the WL last week, and we are going to make good use of them.

In regards to the renovation next year...
Does anyone know how long it took to soft refurb all the rooms at a comparable sized resort?

I am glad they are doing it b/c when we were there in may it thought it was needed. Then I was on the elevator with a maintenance man holding a roll of wallpaper and I said "I see you are putting up wallpaper. Funny, I was thinking it needs to come down." He then told me it would be soon when the resort gets updated. Guess that's one instance of a CM giving accurate info.

Hi all-

Its a few weeks since we returned from our WDW trip and first stay at YC. I am still in withdrawal. Serious withdrawal. Although, on a happier note--- I think we are officially YC converts -- we loved the resort!

Anyways, thanks again for all the helpful advice you shared --- thought I'd mention that I started a TR (link in siggy), and will definitely be posting pictures of the YC, SAB, etc! I just did a little bit about our room/view

Now.....I just need to figure out how/when to make a 2014 a reality!

Quick question -- we were at the YC last week and (and I know this sounds crazy) I can't get the smell of the lobby out of my head. It smelled like pine, but not overwhemingly so. It was so fresh and clean and I'm wondering if anyone knows what the scent is or of a comparable scent.

We left yesterday and my husband said the SAME thing! He wants to know what that scent was too. We resort hopped yesterday and didnt smell it anywhere else, just at our resort.
Missing WDW so much today, we were floating in the YBC pool yesterday and this morning we're shoveling snow. Wah!

The system used by both the Yacht Club and Beach Club is the Scent-Air scent generating system. During the rest of the year, the scent used at both resorts is Green Clover and Aloe. I believe in December at the Beach Club, there is a gingerbread scent used in the lobby. Not sure about the Yacht Club.

Teena - I did try to say Hi to you on sun. but you were talking to a lady with a orange shirt (A diser I hope!) and her dd who had long black hair.

Dh and I had to switch resorts and go to the Boardwalk so I couldnt wait any longer. Well hopefully we will say hi on our next trip that I havent planned yet.

None of the adults can remember the story name. We are pretty sure it wasn't the Polar Express. We remember "All Aboard" being called out many times in his booming voice and something about cinders....

Does anyone know if this same story is read during storytime (if they even still have that?)

Every Christmas this comes up and I decided this year I'm going to solve it.

Teena - it was a pleasure to meet you this trip! I have to agree the BC smell made me gag too. The one in the YC was much better.
