Don't believe it. I trust in God. If that's the end of the world then it is. I'm not gonna stress about it. But I doubt it.

To be fair, does it matter if the whole world ends? EVERYONE will end with it, so it's not like you are being singled out/left alone.. If everyone dies at the same time - so what? It has to come some day!


I do have to say though, the movie does look good. I wouldn't mind seeing it...

Well, I speak for myself on this issue - I have issues with death. It's silly, it happens to everyone, but I have a big fear of dying, and I always have. It's not so much dying itself, it's the thought of never being alive again while the world keeps spinning madly on. I try to keep faith, like I think somewhere in the Bible it says life is just one long nap. When you get back to Heaven, you wake up.

But I try to be strong & not be scared because God gave his Son for us. And Jesus wasn't scared to die for me so I know I shouldn't worry.

I don't think that the world is going to end in 2012. They said the world was going to end in 2000, too.
If it does end up ending then I guess i'll just die? And hope it doesn't hurt.

I don't think the Mayans thought the world was going to end. They were more than likely killed off around the time they reached the date on their calender.

this is all new to me. is it just because of the date 12/21/12? because if it is then it doesn't really make much sense. it only works if you write the date "mm/dd/yy"
in australia, we write it "dd/mm/yy" so it would be 21/12/12. nothing special about that date...

I try not to think about it, but it does bother me. Like June 6th, 2006 I was paranoid all day. We went to Dorney Park for school incentive (honor rolls) and rode rides all day. Nothing broke down, nothing happened. But it still bothers me a bit, like "OMG what if it's real this time?!". Especially with that underground project in Switzerland (where they're trying to recreate the Big Bang or something) and the newly found LARGE black holes.

Then again, I'm naturally paranoid. The movie looks like a bunch off bull hockey though. The Day After Tomorrow, anyone?

i am a little concerned about that. why would you want to recreate the big bang? its really dangerous

It actually freaks me out a bit. Mostly because I will only be 17 and wouldn't have a chance to do most of the things I want to do with my life.

But I've decided to not let it bother me too much. Only God knows when the world will end. People got freaked out on 6/6/06 and In 1999 into 2000. And probably during WW1 and 2.

ETA: No way in HELL I am seeing the movie though.

OT...but my BF is a decendent of Mayans..and he was all like "YEAHH!! My ancestors came up with that!!" when we saw the movie preview..lol


But anyway..I'm not too worried. Plus, it's 4 years off...so I think everyone should stop thinking about it, and live life normally til then. Then if the world really does end, so be it. We can't do anything to stop it anyway...

No one can know when the world is going to end.

She's right, no one knows when the world will come to an end. The only person that does know is Jesus/ God. So all the people that "know" when armogedon will happen need to take a hike!
