Does anyone have an available 2012 wine and done entry they will not be using and are looking unload. I am in a dire situation. I was supposed to run the race with my father and buddy. My buddy said he bought my entry but took the money and didn't actually do it...I really want to race with my father and know that people can't alway make the race. Please let me know if anyone can exchange. I would be more than willing to cover the entry fee or more. Thanks!

Sorry, entries are non-transferable. I would e-mail runDisney to see if they will be opening up any entries at an upcoming Expo. If they say no, charity entries are still available. Just know that if someone does try to sell you their entry, that it will remain theirs and you will not get credit for the run. I don't know about you, but I am only running if it is in my name and I get credit for it. The Wine & Dine is nice, but it isn't worth not getting credit over.

That's not true....I had called raceDisney and they are transferable before oct. 1st. Since Disney does not offer a refund if you cannot attend they do allow you to transfer your entry a certain number of days before the race.

That isn't transferable...that is deferral. You are mixing up two different meanings there and I am sorry that the interns at runDisney confused the two terms. You can't transfer your entry to another runner, but you can defer your own entry to another race as long as you are 45 days out.

You may become confused as it is not technically allowed, but people still bend the rules and do it. Just know a couple of things if you decided to do this. 1) You will not receive credit for your time, so if you hope to use it as proof later, you can't. According to the results, you were never there. 2) If Disney does find out, you and the other person can be banned from Disney races. Also, remember that the bibs will have names of them. If you are a guy running under the name "Tiffany", you may be asked to step out of course. I think the harsher rules are aimed more anyone who may be selling bibs for well over face value rather than someone like you taking the bib of a person with an injury, but they are still on the books and could potentially happen.

As has been said, transferring or selling a bib to someone else is something that should be allowed and encouraged (see: Marathon, Marine Corps), but Disney hasn't caught up to last decade yet. That said, there's always that list that some guy named Craig started. ;)
