Hi! I'm an overseas bride (and hopefully an SBP bride!) too

I haven't contacted DFTW yet as it's too early to pencil in our Escape wedding but I'm pretty sure you do have to phone them to get the ball rolling, at least initially. Once you are assigned a consultant/planner I think you can then use email as a contact method (since you're contacting a specific person) but when you make the general enquiry to get things started it needs to be phone contact.

I'm not particularly looking forward to the phone call with the time difference but I'm sure it will be worth it!

Thanks Lulu, that's what I was thinking, I was just being mean & trying to avoid the $$$ call! Thankfully the time-difference won't be a problem for us as we're 5 hrs ahead, I think.

I just got engaged last week at epcot. yay.

Our wedding date is October 20th 2012. Halloween themed wedding at disney but dont know where yet. Flying down next week to check out some places.

already have to photographer however so thats cool. and i have my maid of honor and bridesmaids already picked out too. Go me haha. Im trying to get everything done now that i can so we can forget about it. And move on to the other fun stuff like looking for the dress and all that stuff.

Hey everyone! So, after reading this forum for a little while now, I decided to actually throw our names in the 2012 hat! For me though, I'm a Disney Groom, and VERY proud and excited of that title!

I must say, I enjoy reading everyone's posts on this thread. From inspirations to planning tips, it's definitely making it easier.

With that, I'm happy to see that October 10th, 2012 hasn't been added to the list yet.

We are getting married at the WP on 10/10/12, followed by Pre-Reception at the Summerhouse and Reception at the GF Ballroom (not sure which one yet).

Ahhhh Im so excited. I cant wait. I of course have no idea where to start 1st really. Flying down to florida on thursday to check out the different locations. Already have the photographer. Also working on save the date cards but i dont know if its to early to send out. I think in october ill start looking and fitting on dresses. I was at the dr. today and we said about december which made me realize that in 4 months my wedding will be in exactly 1 year. AHHHHHH. i better get started on all this stuff. Any ideas and help would be great. Thanks.

I'm sending my save the dates out now! Since mine is July 1 next summer, it's right in the middle of summer and so close to July 4th. I want to make sure people have enough time to figure out they're plans!

I am glad you posted this, because I have been trying to figure out when to send mine. Most people already know of course, but it is important to send out save the dates. Its a clear sign to people this is happening DEFINITELY.

My wedding is 10.11.12 I am think I should send out save the dates no later then late August early September. this is when people can start to book packages with disney for next year too.

I sent our STDs at about 11 months out, just because it took that long to get all my addresses in order. And that was for about 75 people--I can't imagine how people who invite 200 or 300 people do it!

I just sent my save the dates out last week, we're just over 9 mos away.

Yeah im making mine too. Ah i hope it doesnt take me awhile to gather all the addresses but im sure it will.
