2012 Weddings!!

Hoping to hear something either on saturday or monday about booking my date!!! Tomorrow marks 16 months!! It feels soooo good to finally be at this point!!!

How far in advanced can you book your planning session? I see a few of you that have booked it with it being your one year mark yet. Just want to make sure so I know when I should book. As I live in FL so it's hard for me to travel to WDW but I'd love to have an excuse to book at a disney hotel for a few nights with DF to get away and get the whole feel of the planning session fun!!:goodvibes

Hi Amanda

I have not signed my LOA yet for my March 13th 2012 wedding and we have already schedualed are planning session for October 3rd. So I would guess you could probably schedule it before the one year mark like I did. Good luck and Congrats :cheer2:

Great news!! Thank you! Hopefully I can book my planning session before it gets too close so I can get a good rate on hotels :goodvibes

We got an amazing rate. We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside from Saturday to Saturday and it's only $864 :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
I got an email from Disney with a pin number and jumped on it

I'm searching dates and I'd like to go in October for a few night. Do you think 8 months before the wedding for the planning session is so soon? I hope not, but I don't want to wait until busy season at disney during christmas and new years, etc. and have to deal with high crowds and high rates... hmmmmm.... :confused3

How exciting Amanda! I think once you get close to the 12 month mark you can book your planning session.

Also, I think they prefer for you to do your planning session no earlier than the 6 month mark because they can't guarantee prices for you until that time. :confused3

Amanda I don't think it's to soon to early to have a planning session. I am just wondering if Disney will let you have one that early.:confused3 You know them they won't let you do anything if they are not ready. Good luck and let me know if you will be there when we are. :yay:

Getting married September 22 or 29th of September, 2012 in NY!!

If it's the 22nd that will be the same date as me. We are getting married in Wisconsin. How exciting!!! I agree stressful too but it will all be worth it in the end!

Hi fellow 2012 disbrides!:goodvibes

I was wondering if any of you ladies that have already signed your LOA or are in the early stages of doing this like we are (ie the room block stage :scared1:), can tell me if the initial room rates that you were provided for your room block included the discount already or if the discount was added in to the rates after you chose your resorts? I haven't heard back from our consultant yet on if these are the discounted rates or not and I'm being impatient:rotfl: I know our date is in peak season (Mar 24th) but even our consultant's assistant agreed these seemed high if this included the discounts. She wasn't sure and Stacey's out of the office. I figured asking other 2012 brides would be best since you ladies getting married during peak seasons would've rec'd the same rates. Thanks:worship:

Hi Harley,

For us, it included the discount--- about 15% at the value and about 30%ish percent at the deluxe. We're getting married in January though, so our rates were pretty low!

How is everyone's planning coming along? We visited Orlando last weekend and checked out a lot of the reception venues and the swan's crescent terrace. I'm so excited, they were more beautiful than I had hoped for! We got to see Whitehall, Narcoossees, Citricos, Mintzers (sp?), bluezoo, il mulino, fresh mediterranean market, and sago cay for a DP location (which we probably won't do :( ) We are hoping to be able to confirm our date in early March and then we'll really start the planning and working on the save the dates. Does anyone have save the date pics? I'd love to see what you ladies have done :) Happy planning ladies!

You can remove me from 4/20. We changing to 9/15/11. So I'm getting married in 7 months!! :scared1:

Anyone else feeling overwhelmed working on the room block?? I have no idea what to do because I'm trying to think of transportation as well. This is definitely a lot harder than I thought it would be!!! :scared:

2012 Escape Bride here. We're thinking October either 22 or 29 at the Wedding Gazebo at the Yatch Club. Is it too early to start my PJ? I have many ideas I want to discuss. Oh I'm so excited. :hyper:

WELCOME!!! :cheer2:

It's never to early to start your PJ, I started mine almost a year ago :lmao: And I've been getting a lot done since then. Can't wait to hear about your plans!!

I can't imagine how hard it is, and I'm dreading that day (kinda) when that starts coming into play for me. I've got an idea of resorts I want, it's just hoping they are available.

mjshorses I'm in the boat right there with you:scared1: We just got our room block info last week and are having some trouble in the same area. Is the resort too far from the ceremony/reception, if we choose one over the other is that going to mess w/ transporation etc. And then the fact that we were told our LOA can't be worked on/started UNTIL we get this back in/figured out. Of course that just makes me want to rush everything :rotfl2:
