2012 Military Discount ~ Anyone know?

On July 11th, the 2013 pricing will be up and July 12th fall/early winter promotions will be available. So hopefully military discounts will be included in this info!

Saw this on another thread today. Probably not the kind of news you were hoping for.

We were lucky enough to get a 30% off room pin for our next trip, so I'll keep watching for something better, but will be fine if they don't release a new military discount.

The article says Disney has only confirmed they are ending the old offer. They haven't said anything on the record about a new one. In his contacts with a Disney official, it sounds like Steve (author of link) has gotten some very positive hints of a new offer. He talks about it in the article. I am still hopeful.

I agree it sound like something else might be coming. It just doesn't sound like they're announcing it soon, and I know the PPs are all anxiously waiting, hoping it might get extended any day now. That's why I said probably not the news they were looking for.

We have been planning to stay at Shades of Green for our visit in January for Marathon weekend, but I priced some of the other resorts with the 40% discount and found them quite competitive. I know the current discount is scheduled to end Sept. 30, but if I did book another resort now, if an extended or new discount offer were made in the meantime, could I call Disney back and get the discount applied at that time?
