If I understood correctly, you can call & switch the promo you have now to the FD promo. They would just remove your current discount & apply the new. I would call & check. Hope you get it worked out!

The poster you quoted is going in April, so she is not able to take advantage of this FD offer. However, your advice is otherwise correct. If you are booked with another offer, you can switch to free dining if it is applicable and available for your resort/dates.

I guess she was only asking about April (and maybe not going), but her ticker shows another trip, but it lands before the deal, too.

Your dining reservation aren't linked to your resort reservations. If you know for sure you are going to change your resort check in dates I would go ahead and do your dining reservations now because with free dining being released today the dining reservations will be booking up FAST.

Think of it this way, I bet there are a lot of people that will change their dates to take advantage of the FD and maybe you'll have super low crowds for your trip. Plus there is still time for you to be pixie dusted with a PIN code. Best of luck!

Even if she moves their trip back one week, they would still be going in August and are still inside of the 180 mark - that's going by her ticker dates though.

thanks everyone!! i did have all my ressies made except the hoop dee doo, its closed from aug to dec this year but i think i am in the time frame to book i will be confirming my date change tomorrow with my fav AAA TA and changing my dining ressies tonight ... yeay!!! thank goodness for FD!! made my crappy week so much happier!! ( still sad about davy jones )

Oct-Dec discounts usually don't come out until late summer--around the first week of August or so. Disney operates on a fiscal year calendar like the government. Their new year starts October 1, so that is why all the deals released this early in the year end at the end of Sept. This FD deal is out earlier than ever, so mayble they will come out with Oct. deals earlier, too. Just keep an eye on the boards and join this thread...

changed all my dining ressies today!! i called and did it. their system even tho my resort date hasnt been changed yet and they are all still attached to my resort ressie all good to go now .... i dont have to stalk the boards as much now. I just have to figure out now how to add an extra room?? do i have my daughter do her own package?? hhmmm
