I am hoping for FD for my August 18 vacation. Can anyone tell me when FD usually starts for the late summer/early fall season?

Where does one find out about a PIN code option for free dining. I'm hoping for free dining the beginning of June. We are heading on the cruise on June 9th and really want to spend some time at the park first ( Have previously done park after cruise but, decided this time around to do it first but, can switch if needed). We're almost 6 months out so, I'm hoping that it will be offered. Any ideas?

I was extremely lucky when I was there in August this year I recieved a bounce back offer. I have Free dining for next August 21-31. I was really annoyed with Disney for offering Canadians the Free Dining offer but not the US. I still am. I think with that and the bounce back offers they may have filled up their available Free Dining rooms?? Last year they released Free dining dates in August for the following year, then again in the Spring. So maybe we will see something in the Spring?? Here's hoping for everyone!!

Every spring, late March/early April, for the last 7 years, Disney has announced a late summer/fall free dining promo/discount. Disney makes a fortune off of the free dining promo, so I doubt this spring would be any different.

For years Disney offered a Free Dining Bounceback, during current free dining promos, for the following year and they have always still offered the spring discount. Anything is possible, but it's pretty much a sure thing that there will be a free dinign offer announced this spring, just like there has been for the last 7 years.

Actually, it's only started mid-August about 3 times and rest of the years have been offered in late August - this past August it didn't start until August 28. I still can't figure out why they have moved Value season to August 5, we were there during that timeframe in August and it was packed. I, personally, don't think they will have a FD offer as early as August 5.

but this year we are FINALLY going with one of our sons and our grandson.. yay! but our DIL teaches so can't go in late august. only in summer

but! at least early august won't be as expensive (just crowded).

I have never done that but its her senior year and im sure it will be ok. dont understand why they moved the FD week up to the last week in August last year.

Depending on when you booked your 2011 free dining package...I booked the early offering in 2010 that had a start of August 19th, 2011. (My trip started on Aug 20 2011 with free dining.) Then there was a second offering in spring 2011 where the start date was August 28th, 2011.

Not really. In 2011 there was an unusual free dining offering for arrivals 5/27/11-6/2/11.

I got a letter in the mail with FREE QS dining good for May 1-31. I called and they said the offer was attached to my name, they didn't even need my pin code.

They had POFQ which is what I wanted and they saved me about $734 off the 5% the GP code was offering! WOOHOO .
I can also upgrade to regular dining for the difference of $347 for all three of us adults for the 7 days, we are thinking on this.

SO CALL!! You never know if there may be a pin attached to your name. Pixie dust to all !

Have they ever offered free dining around Christmas time? We are thinking about going December 22 for about a week or so.

Since they generally offer free dining during times with less traffic, such as the peak of hurricane season, or mid-winter and the like, I wouldn't expect to see them offer it during such a premium time.
