2012 Dining Plan available now for DVC

Dining plans are not "included" in the price of a DVC membership.

You may add a dining plan to your DVC reservation and pay for it at the going rate. You don't have to buy tickets to add a plan. DVC reservations are not eligible for the free dining promotion.

Looks like they dropped Pepper Market at CSR for the Quick Serivce. That's too bad, it was a great value.

This is way early for DP restaurants to be listed, especially the ones not owned by Disney. Pepper Market is not owned by Disney, as it's run by an outside vendor.

Usually by the end of December, most of the restaurants are back on the list. If not, you won't be missing much, as the last time we dined at Pepper Market is was disgusting - dirty, bad food, old food (the meat was so gross) and bad service.

Am I reading the regular DDP wrong or have they added appetizers with the table service credits and the refillable mug?

This is for children only. The lovely appetizer of celery sticks and baby carrots.

Really? I guess I don't see where it says that the appetizers are for children only. I am looking at the PDF that someone posted the link to earlier.

You don't? Are you sure you're looking at the right PDF? On page 3, it says:

FOR LUNCH/DINNER
Appetizer (Guest ages 3-9 only)
Entrée
Dessert
Non-alcoholic beverage
(emphasis mine)

Thanks for pointing that part out...apparently, I had the wrong PDF up...I had the DxDP one up...:lmao:

I swear...the later I get into this pregnancy, the less focused my mind seems to be...:confused3

Refillable mug has been added though, but so has it gone up by over $6.00. So, you are paying for the mug.

I have a few questions, I hope you all can help me out. We are staying July 22-31 at BLT. We are about to book our dining plan. We usually get the Deluxe Dining Plan. Do we call Member Services to book it? I think in years past, we just called the regular disney number...is there a discount being a DVC member? Are the refillable mugs part of the package for 2012 or are they part of the plan now? Only children get appetizers, not adults, right? I liked the old plan, when appetizers and tip were included!!!

Booking - call MS (must be at least 48 hours before arrival) and you must pay at time of booking

Price - there is no discount, but as DVC members we don't pay the peak season price, which is applicable now, so you would have paid a higher price if booking cash through Disney

Refillable mug - are not part of 2011 plan for DP (only 2012), but Quick serve and Deluxe have mugs

Appetizers - only children for regular DP, but if you are doing Deluxe, you as an adult will get appetizer

You can get PDF on our Member website with prices and other things of interest listed.

Hope this helps, Tiger :)

I think you mean no mug for the regular DDP in 2011 but will be in 2012.

Small correction, mugs are included in the 2011 deluxe dining plan. I think you ment not part of the regular DDP.

Yes, I did. So sorry for the typo. Just got finished from our kids' birthday party, so thanks for the correction, as I haven't been on computer since yesterday.

Sorry about that, Tiger :)

I guess the economic downturn hasn't affect Disneyworld - they raised park ticket prices and DDP prices. I assume the food in the parks has also gone up.

Food has been going up several times per year - each January they've been raising all buffets by $2.00-$3.00/pp, plus they've enacted peak season prices for the past few years.

Based on 2012 prices, I anticipate prices to rise, as they have been doing, plus for DP, guests are now paying for the mug that they have included.

Disney is in charge of this cycle - they will raise menu prices to encourage purchase of the DP, and to make it seem more valuable.

Sorry...this has probably been answered before...but I can't find it:

Can we book DDP for FEWER nites than we are staying? We will be eating off-site a few days as we tour the area.

Thanks!:flower3:

If you read the (many) threads on segmenting, you will see how this can be done on a points reservation.

Personally, it sounds like too much work to me. I'd rather just pay as I go, but I don't find the DDP to be much value in any event, so YMMV.
