2012 Caribbean Beach Countdown!

Looking forward to my second stay at CBR. :cheer2: Loved it the first time and can't wait to be back. :thumbsup2 Hopefully will get the same section I had last time, Jamaica 43. :wizard:

We are taking our kids on their First Disney vaca June 2-9th. We got a Pirate pirate: themed room and can't wait!! Our ADR's are made, so now we wait...I'm not a very patient person :)

Me and my boys will be at CBR. May 25-June 2! This will be our first time staying at this resort.:cool1:

We will be heading there April 21-29. This is my first time at a moderate and are so excited. This is a surprise trip for my ds 7 and dd 3. We are telling them an hour before our flight.

We are staying March 24th - 30th. This will be our first time staying in the parks and our daughters first time ever to WDW (she will turn 1 in April). I can't wait!

We will be here during this time too! It is a girls only trip (myself, my mom, and my child). It is my mom's first time! It is our first time at CBR. :yay:

we changed our dates in order to get free dining. we are now going august 26th to sept 2nd. wish i was there now.

First time ever to Disney April 18-24. These last few weeks are going to take soooo looooooooong. :yay::eek:

Sunday May 20 to Saturday May 26th at Caribbean Beach with water view. Meeting up with friends I was stationed in Frankfurt Germany in the Air Force and my wife's sister 11 year old. While both families have one girl 5 and 6 years old so we are going to see Yee Haa Bob on wed at Port Orleans its a great show.

We're gonna be there from May 30 to June 8 for our 6th visit to WDW but our first visit to CBR. Cant wait. We've never stayed onsite before so Im anxious to see if all the hooplah is true. :thumbsup2

Just updated the list to include everybody's names and dates. I have tons of pictures of the CBR and lots of CBR info in my trip report. Just click the link below to take a look around.

I am seriously contemplating an impromptu trip to WDW next month, and the CBR in particular for just ODS (8.5) and I. I've never stayed here before but am excited to try. I should know within the next week or so if the guilt about leaving YDD (4.5) home is going to be too much for me to bear, lol. I definitely do not want to be way on the other side of the lake than the food court so I assume it's best to just pay for preferred? And the preferred rooms are the buildings right next to the food court, correct?

The preferred rooms are in the two villages near Old Port Royale (food court, main pool, etc.) which are Martinique and Trinidad North. We have stayed in both preferred and non-preferred. Our longest walk from non-preferred (Jamaica 41 and 42) was about 5 minutes. Our shortest walk to OPR from Martinique 26 was less than a minute.

We will be enjoying CBR 6/7-6/14!!! Our DS was only 6 the last time we stayed at CBR in 2007. He doesn't remember much about the resort. He is excited to see the pool. So a whole new experience for him:cool1:

We (Me, DH, DS11, DD3) will be staying at CBR from June 9th-June 14th for our first Disney trip EVER!!! So excited!!!

We'll be at CBR Apr 22 to 28.:cool1:
Myself, DW, DS6, and my parents in another room. It'll be my parents' first big trip with their grandson. For us, it'll be our 4th trip with all 3 of us, our 3rd at CBR. DS loves the beaches and playgrounds, and I must admit: walking out early in the morning and breaking the dewcrust on the sand to make sand castles is a pleasure that I was entirely unaware of until I was dragged into it by the little blonde kid. :beach:
We've got ADRs set up, a tentative itinerary, and customized maps ordered, but we are so mentally unprepared for this trip it's pitiful, and that's probably an indication of just how much we need it. It hasn't been that long since we've been, but there's been a lot of water under the bridge, all of it muddy.
I may not be ready, but I'm starting to get excited. :hyper: Too bad Thunder Mountain will still be closed; DS started liking coasters his last trip. I guess Splash Mountain will have to do; Space Mountain is probably still a bit much for him.
