Let's give a big ole Andy's Room :welcome: to our new and returning friends!

Dee - I think we have our dates! You can add us to the Be Our Guest List.

June 29-July 6 - GF
July 6-July 15 - BC

I'm starting with booking gv rooms in both resorts and then will change the view or to cl once the AP rates for July come out.

Hope you get a good rate so the "Real Dee" can finally attend our mini BC/YC Dis Meet.

YCFAN was a fabulous surprise this year.

Now if I could get you, pixarmom and HockeymomR all there at the same time with YCFAN, Teena, Lauren and myself that would be a blast!

Glad you have some dates planned.

Me, too!

:banana::banana::banana:

We are staying at DVC-BCV for the first time in 2013 for F&W. I realize this is a subjective question but any suggestions on room requests? It will be just DW and I and we will be in a studio for 8 days. All comments and suggestions are welcome. TIA.

Howdy!

Do you care to share your dates? I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

:cool1:

BTW- sorry I am so behind on your TR. Look forward to catching up when things slow down for me. Maybe 2014! :lmao:

Morning Dee!!

Please add us to the list... April 21-28th staying at BC!! Can't wait!! Haven't been in over 8 years!! Celebrating our 15th year anniversary and also DH's birthday while we are there!! (Trying to figure out something special to do for him that day.)

Will do!

:goodvibes

Thanks for the kind words.

We are going in Jan 2014 for daughter's wedding and like to be on ground floor near food court. Does anyone know if this is possible and is this standard view or garden view? When will I be able to book room? We can't hardly wait, we stayed in beach club villas several years ago and LOVED it! Thanks in advance!

I think you are our first 2014 guest! I'll start that list.

:yay:

Just got back from BC this past Tuesday for 5 nights and booked our bounce back for 9/26-10/2 pixiedust: Already counting down the days!

Teena - Katie43901 and I saw you this weekend but were too shy to say anything! My DD was the lithe girl in the Jesse tutu costume on 10/14. As katie posted we will be returning in late september and will be sure to say HI!

Glad to hear you are :tigger:

I'll add you both to the list.

Your DD is way adorable!

:woohoo:

Hi all, we are headed to BCV on 11/3 for a week, anybody know when hurricane Hanna's is going to reopen? In the interim where can we get food and drinks near the pool?

Thanks!

I'll add you to the list.

:)

Hi everyone! Heading down to celebrate my 30th birthday in 13 days!!!! Haven't been on the DIS as much as previous trips, so I've just discovered this thread!!! Staying YC CL with my mom and brother (leaving Dh and DD home alone on this one!), planning on spending some quality time at F&W :) Disney outlet just opened down the street from me, so I'm definitely getting in the spirit!

Sounds like a fun trip!

I'll add you to the list.

As I sit here at WL I wanted to share my DH's comments from last night. He is so unimpressed with WL (except the lobby if course), he says I spoiled him with YC last month. Even though there is wood everywhere here he misses the deep cherrywood of YC, lol! Even the kids tell me how yeah they like WL but like YC better!

Guess after we try CR we will be returning to YC :) There was something truly magical about YC that we just aren't getting at WL.

:goodvibes This makes me happy since we're checking into YC for the very first time next week. This is a big celebration trip for us and it could be our only chance to stay at a Deluxe. Your comments make me feel like I made the right choice on which Deluxe to choose.

We truly felt at home at YC!!! We loved everything about it! We just wanted to give a few other resorts a try as well. You are going to LOVE YC!!!

If you're not thrilled with WL, you can always go to the front desk and ask to speak with a manager. Tell them that although the resort is really nice, you just prefer the YC. Ask them to see if there is availability at the YC and if there is, I'm sure they would move you over for the rest of your vacation.

Teena, thank you! I thought about it, but we are just here for a quick 2 night trip so it is easier to stay put. I am glad we are getting to experience different resorts though, this way we can pick our favorite and just stick with it :)

You're right ... for two nights not worth it!
Enjoy that lobby and have dinner at Artist Point!

Flat Ben is off on a new trip, starting this morning with AnjieNet. But please be warned... he ventures to the "Dark Side" this time!

Have you ever wondered why Flat Ben is so flat???

This is good to hear as we are trying YC CL next summer and we are very excited :yay:. We've stayed at the BC and do love the Epcot area, so I'm sure we'll have a great stay :goodvibes. I'm sorry you aren't enjoying the WL as much as you hoped, but like you said, it's nice to try different ones so you can see which ones are to your liking and which ones you don't care for ;).

:sad1: so sorry to hear you aren't enjoying WL. It's one of my fav resorts. Love that lobby, and the grounds are so pretty. The boat to MK and the resort boat are great. We also enjoy the walking path to Ft W. go over to the Villas and have a look in the Carolwood room. It's all about Walts love of Steam trains.
Watch the Electric Water Parade from the beach, or your balcony if you have a Courtyard room. Hope you can find some things to enjoy.

If you would like sample Artists Point but can't get in or do not have time, you can visit the bar next to the restaurant and order starters from their menu. One evening we had an ADR but just weren't hungry enough for an entire dinner. We visited the check-in desk then hit the bar and had the best mushroom soup and bread, and a couple of finger food items and it was great. They even offered the dessert menu (skipped it). Everything but the entree. Disclaimer, this was in early Dec. so they weren't real busy. Not sure if this would work in high season.

Clarabel, We also live in Cumbria !!! Just below Kendal and it did make me chuckle when you put Cumbria on your post !, so Im sure we will see you all in stormalong Bay floating around !!!! Roll on sunshine as us northern England folk havent seen sun all year :rotfl:

How funny!! I expect our two Cumbrian boys will find one another... :hyper2:

Flat Ben has all the fun and the people escorting him are doing a fantastic job....well, except for that family that let him get run over by that... well never mind! ;)

Do yourself a favor and grab something nice to drink and take a moment to catch up on this fabulously funny trip report. Here is the link:

You know this has to be one of the most helpful dining tips I've ever read! It simply never occurred to me to go over to the bar and eat that way when I don't have an ADR. I'm not a drinker so I never knew you could eat SOME of the menu items that way. This would be a sneaky way for hubby and I to split up from our teen boys, send them off to some counter service burger bodega while we indulge in all the wonderous goodies that they don't have the palate to appreciate!

Now I'm going to see if there is a way to figure out which resorts have this bar option. I'm figuring all the deluxe's and any of the parks where liquor is served in a restaurant that has a Bar, like 50's Prime Time. We may be resort visiting for the December trip so I will try to look this up and keep it on my trip -'spontaneous planning' radar.

Thanks!!

Just popping in to say hi. I haven't been keeping up since we got back from our last trip. Starting to visit the boards again as we get ready for our upcoming cruise. We have a couple day stay after our cruise. Right now we are booked at WL hoping that our BLT wait list comes through. We will be missing the BC I am sure. Since the trip is short and we only have 2 day tix with no hopping we thought being closer to MK was best. Can't wait to see new Fantasyland. We have ADR's for Be Our Guest!

Hope everyone is well.

I've missed hearing from you, georgiasmom! Let us know how your trip goes! Welcome back!

We're at the Beach Club now if anyone wants me to find out anything.

Went to Magic Kingdom yesterday and got to go on the new Little Mermaid ride, the Fantasyland expansion looks amazing!

We are here too :yay: and also was lucky enough to see everything that is open including a walk through of "Be our guest restaurant" and met Gaston :cool2: We ended up with a room that met our main request - full balcony and a special bonus Epcot fireworks :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Tomorrow we move on to the WL - our BC stay has been magical pixiedust:

Hi everyone, single figures!! Only 9 sleeps to go before we land at Yacht Club....:sail:

Quick question, are there any showers pool side at SAB or do all 5 of us have to line up for a shower back in the room? :dance3:

Also, I believe we can pick up our photopass plus card from BC marketplace. Does anyone know if this facility runs the same hours as the marketplace is open?

Thanks guys:goodvibes
