Does anyone know where there's a layout of the BC 1 BR suites? Or how many sq ft they are? Trying to compare to BCV 1 BR (and just how much bigger they are than a standard room)

There WILL still be poolside beverages.

I'll go find the previous posts about the plans during the closing period.

Hi all, I have a question about the music I hear on the buses for the BC&YC. I love it! It is a pretty piano type song with beach sounds and seagulls over it. Does anyone else love it?? I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find it? I have searched youtube and no luck. TIA

YES! I'd love to know this information! I tried to "Shazzam" it last year, but it didn't work. I do know from this thread and other Internet searches that the lobby tracks are mostly from a cd called "Sounds of Wood and Steel," but I'd LOVE that bus music.

Did you ever figure out about the haircut? I actually walked by Periwigs today and right now reading a post of yours I'm remembering you were looking into it. I can swing by today or tomorrow to find out if you want me to.

What...... HH is closed ... for August??? ... have they set up any alternatives... or just have to deal with no HH when spending the day by the pool...........

A silly question maybe but will anywhere have the kids meals in sand pails whilst HH's is closed?
Our girls loved this idea and then had lots of fun with their sand pails in the pool area so we were all looking forward to doing the same again this year.

Are the pails full of ice cream at the water parks just the same? I'm thinking this might be a justifiable alternative

There will be poolside beverages and waitresses. I read somewhere else there will be several temporary stations set up around the pool area on the resort side with food and beverages all around. Not sure if menu will exactly match HH's but the service will be there.

Cannot find the specific post. I tried. Sometimes I think I read too many boards! If I find it I will come back and post a link (if DIS allows).

Haircuts!! from past experience 1st haircuts are maybe OK but DH and DS(10) had a haircut last October, it took 6 months till our hairdresser could fix DS's wonky fringe.

Can you please add us to the Be Our Guest List, arriving 9 Oct till 15 Oct and staying at the YC Water/Pool View. I'm travelling from Scotland with just DD as DS has different school holidays in October so DH will follow with him at the end of the Disney part of the trip.

I am willing to go on chair patrol at SAB wearing my cape and neoprene suit if needed, think a few phrases in Gaelic will confuse the chair hoggers.

HH is open now, and there is waitstaff walking around, which I have not seen prior to today. I would guess it's in transition.

Hi all! Just a quick update. Having a great day at HS today. Took a small break to go back to the resort and freshen up before going back for dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe.

Mousekeeping has been great in our room. They are keeping us well stocked in H2O products! Yay!!! Also a room full of animal towels today. We already had the standard MM on the bed when we arrived. Now we have a sting ray and swan added to the collection. The hand towels on the towel bar were arranged to look like an elephant and they made a toothbrush holder out of towel art. I think I love those touches more than the kids!! :rofl:

Finally got one of those amazing cupcakes at Starring Rolls today! Chocolate PB to be exact and O. M. G.!!!! I cannot believe I have never had these before. I love the Disers even more now!!

Okay, off to dinner now! I'll check in later.

That's what I was afraid of. Really bummed since they changed it, we are losing time on both our arrival and departure days.

I have been following TigrLuvsPooh's live trip report and she says the CMs are saying December. Pretty extensive renovation. But there should be food and beverage accomodations while it is closed.

Bummer. But I guess since I've never experienced it, I can't really be too sad about what I'm missing.

Going to do laundry tomorrow night and start bagging up the kids' outfits on Saturday. (I take each of their outfits for the day and put them in a ziploc baggie). It saves time every morning because they jsut grab a bag and it saves room in the suitcase - pretty sure I learned that trick here!!

Actually call them up and talk to them.

Two weeks ago they changed our flight for our upcoming trip to Hawaii. They had us missing our connection (we used miles). I called the rewards desk and they changed our flight for no charge to the direct flight. We didn't book the direct flight as it was double the miles.

It doesn't hurt to call.

1) Hurricane Hannah's will be closing soon. Reports on the date vary so it's not set in stone yet. We just have to wait and see.

2) There will be servers running around taking drink orders at the pool while HH is closed.

3) The hotel will make as yet undisclosed food accommodations for guests at the pool. Food will definitely be available but no information has been released as to where or what.

4) Since we haven't heard what they are doing for food we don't know if the buckets that they serve the kids meals in will be available.

Stay tuned for further details as our intrepid spies and neopreen wearing "SUPER GROUPIES" troll for more information.

It sounds like the closing will happen towards the end of the month, not next week. Not sure of the exact date, but I think the last week in August, when guest attendance starts to slow down.

The inital plan is to offer packaged sandwiches to go near or in the arcade, hotdogs, drinks and other treats near Beaches and Cream and a Pool Bar with drinks sold at Poolside Gifts. There will still be wait service at the pool.

It will be a very extensive rehab, and I think the December end-date is accurate.
