We got home on Weds from a "magical" vacation. Still going through Disney withdrawal. My DD called me today for mothers day and she said that she is going through withdrawal too and that she wants to go back.

Is it too early to start planning for next year?

NO - Never too early!

I'm just grinning from ear to ear. Being with Jeanne and Lily on Mother's Day is a dream come true. I usually spend it at the BC in the lobby!

Today Lily is going to her other Grandmom's later in the day. Jeanne and I have a four hour wedding dress appointment to buy her her Disney wedding dress.

I hope everybody has a wonderful day!!!!

I say it's never to early to start planning , I have not been there this year yet that will be the last week in June and the first week of July and I'm already planning my grand daughters first trip to DW in the summer of 2013 . I want to make this special for her like I did years ago with her DD , I can not wait . So haveing said that start planning and have fun .

We're all booked to stay Sept 9-16. It'll be our first time staying at the Beach Club, excited & nervous at the same time!

You have lots of reasons to be excited but nothing to be nervous about staying at BC. Last year was our first time at BC and now we can't imagine staying anywhere else!! You will love it!!

2 more days to go!!!!!! just place my Garden Grocer order. Been checking the weather regiously and it's improving every day (was 60% for rain, now only 20%). Have one more day of work, then 1 day to finish packing and get anything I forgot. Freckless, how were the Love Bugs while you were there?

On our last trip, we were pretty close to the main elevator down into the lobby, which I loved. Do I just put in a request for a room near the elevator or the lobby? Thanks!

While celebrating my wife's weekend, she reminded me that it will be on Father's Day that we are going to be flying to Orlando. Guess that's a Father's Day present I'll remember forever!

To Teena and Jean, I hope you guys enjoyed your Mother's Day in beautiful Las Vegas. I know it was hot today (I live just 3 hours west of you) so I hope you stayed cool!

I didn't think we'd be back again until next year, but I got my first pin code and we are headed to the Beach Club from June 27-July 6. So, please add us to the list! This will technically be my mother's first visit, as she was there for only one day in the early 80's. It will also be my daughter's 12th birthday on the 29th, so lots of reasons to celebrate.

I am looking forward to seeing Teena again, though I'm sure she doesn't remember us! We'll be sure to properly introduce ourselves this time. We are at the 45 day mark today, so the countdown begins.

Just got back from our first Beach Club stay and LOVED it. We'd wanted to book a short weekend getaway to reward ourselves after a stressful few months, and though the Epcot-area resorts had never really been on my wish list, I began seeing more and more pics of BC that swayed me. It was the perfect choice for a resort-only vacation! We walked into Epcot for an hour one night but that was all. I think we spent about ten hours across the two-night span at Stormalong Bay, and have the tanlines (burnlines, in my case ) to prove it. And now I know what posters mean about that amazing Beach Club smell! We like to joke how CR is our home and AKL is our exotic vacation home, but we're now calling BC our 'summer' home. The CMs were excellent. We've done online check-in a dozen times but after we parked and approached the BC entrance, a CM met us there with our room keys! That was a first, we've always had to still go to the desk. VERY appreciated! Even the fellow visitors were friendlier than we've usually experienced.

You all have a new convert now. We can't wait to go back!

Glad you had a wonderful trip! Thanks for posting your pictures. Love the shot of Stormalong Bay- like others have said, we can never see too many pictures of our happy place!

I don't know the set up of YC at all- do you want to be near the lounge? Near an elevator leading to the lobby, does such a thing exist?

I think I would word a request "Close to the lobby elevator" Do you care about a full balcony or is the location more important?

Quick check in from the Yacht Club bus stop! We are having a great time. Weather is cooler than I expected (no complaints there). Supposed to rain today but we won't melt. Headed to MK this morning for CP breakfast and CRT lunch. We tried to time the lazy river but there were too many variables!

When I booked my trip through DVC I was told that I can't make a room request. Last summer I could and I got a fantastic Epcot view. Does anyone know if they aren't taking room requests anymore???

Here is the post from my 2010 trip report where we got delicious sandwiches to bring back to the Beach Club. With a QS credit you get a sandwich (quiche may also be a selection), a drink and a choice of dessert/pastry. With one exception...

We overlap! Hubby and I are at YC Oct. 27-Nov. 3. Can't wait for Halloween and F&W! And we'll be celebrating 10 years together.

And don't fret about 30. My 30's were great. That's when I met hubby and married him.

So back to my obsessive planning! DH insists on non-nescafe coffee....I am having the hardest time finding a place online or anywhere else for that matter to purchase Cuisinart coffee pods...any help?
