Just back from a wonderful trip to BC CL. My first time staying CL at BC and it was wonderful. We were in room 5717 and this is the view from our room overlooking SAB.

We checked in at the Concierge Desk on the 5th floor with Beth, after being escorted up (how cool!). Upon arriving in our room we noticed a couple of things, but the main thing being the fan didn't work. We called Beth and she immediately had someone down to fix it. Worked perfectly the rest of the trip! I did notice that both sinks were missing part of the knob.

Other than this, the room was in great condition! We had a mickey towel animal on the bed when we arrived and the next day had some sort of something, but still can't figure out what it was...

We loved the convenience of being so close to the IG and the ease of getting into and out of Epcot and DHS. We rented a car and took us about 25-30 minutes to get from MCO to the resort. The security guard checked our room key every time to make sure we were staying there. I would assume for those that are just there for dining would be required to show their reservation confirmation. They seem very strict about that and I'm glad!

We at at the CL lounge for breakfast every morning and I was pleased with the choices. They had bagels, raisin bran, and hard boiled eggs so I was a happy camper! Any questions? Just let me know!!

Ugh! Just found out that the anticipated opening of the new restaurant at MK (Be Our Guest), which we were hoping would be open when we are there over Halloween, will not be opening until "Holidays 2012" and I'm pretty sure that doesn't mean Halloween. We had hoped to dine there the night of MNSSHP.

I make ADR's on Monday. I'm thinking I'll just leave that spot open still and then we'll just grab a late lunch at Beaches & Cream or Big River Grille before we get ready to head over to the party. Anyone know what time they stop serving lunch? Do they close between lunch and dinner or are the just open straight thru?

First of all - thank you, thank you, thank you for all your prayers and well wishes. Things are definitely looking much better!

Dee - I always thought that ASMovies was just sooo Disney! I'm sure you and your merry band will have a blast!!! Do you still get to do ADRs or do you all eat together? My oldest DD went to Florida on her high school trip - there weren't any "value resorts" then so they stayed off-site. They did Disney (MK AND MGM), Universal and Sea World. They had a blast and I'm sure your son and his friend will too!!! Can't wait to read that trip report.

Today is Day 1 of Nutri System (or as I call it - dieting for Disney) for me. Between stress eating and running my kids to al their games and practices I don't want to add another 10 pounds to the yearly Dis Meet photo!

I hope anyone who will be in the area on July 22 can stop by to our 3rd Annual Mini BC/YC Dis Meet. Of course our resident start - Teena - will be there, so if you've never had the chance to meet her that will be a great time to get to know her!

Pixarmom - Sure you can't squeeze that next trip to the end of July instead of August? I would love to meet up!!!!

Jenneth79 - We last did the Illuminations Cruise in 2009 and had so much fun!

Well, I'm off to make yet ANOTHER phone call to someone with my new credit card information. Remember that breach awhile back? Yeah, my number was compromised, so they're sending a new card. Even better? Someone created a card with my number and has been trying to use it in CA for the past few days. So now ALL my bank numbers are changing.

Ugh.

Ah well, on the bright side, they caught it.

Ugh, I know the feeling! I found out last month that my paypal account was hacked and they were using my credit cards that I had stored. Needless to say, I had to get new numbers for two seperate cards and file all kinds of forms to dispute the charges. Thankfully I got everything credited back and everything was fine.

Oh my! I'm so glad someone else got this...um...sculpture! We had that one night coming back to our room and were wondering if they just didn't finish the whole thing...or they hated us after the water incident?

Our family will be staing at the BC for the first time in August. I keep reading that the Y&BC have poor counter service options and I'm wondering why that is? It looks to me that the Marketplace has a pretty decent selection, not to mention Hurrican Hanna's. Am I missing something here?

mbcary - I knew your pics looked familiar, we have stayed in the room right next door! That view is so spectacular, loved sitting on the balcony at night and in the early mornings. However, have to say that we never received the interesting towel animal.....

I feel like I have asked this question before, but is there any available "late check-out" option at the BC? Even if we paid for it, I have a feeling it's not an option. Is this right?

And to answer your CS question....No food court. Some people can't seem to live without it. Some can (us )

You can request a late check out. But my understanding is they are very rarely provided due to high occupancy. We have requested before and did not receive. Doen't hurt to ask!

Well, I'm glad to hear we weren't the only ones to get this! I took the picture and sent to my friend and asked her what it was and her response "um, that looks obscene"! I almost didn't post on here because it is a "family" board!!

Our assumption was that they got busy and didn't come back to it, but now with someone else getting it as well, I'm not so sure now.

I think it was meant to be a stingray! I went back to the photos from our trip and we DID have a stingray...and they look really similar, only ours actually does look like a stingray!

Perhaps that particular mousekeeper does better with the mickeys and elephant towel animals and skipped the day on stingrays LOL

So after many many changes.....I will be at Beach club in less than 1 month....dee I am still on the guest list for YC

We are coming from Sea world on May 27th and staying until June 3rd There will be 8 off us total...MIL is hitchhiking this trip. so we have a Deluxe room for me, DH, and 3 girls and MIL & my 2 sons will be in a Standard CL room. My DD will have her 6th Bday on May 28th....cake party And Teena if you're there...I'll bring the Tastycakes

Aw, shucks. When I saw a "fall" date for this opening, I thought we"d be in like Flynn with our December 1-8 dates. I really want to do this. Wonder when they"ll start taking ADRs? 180 days out from the expected opening, or not until closer so they can be more sure it'll be ready?
