2012 AP rates?

I just booked our Jan. stay and am still feeling the sticker shock . I can't believe how the rates have gone up since 2009. I did book with a AAA rate, but it was not very significant. DH and I are planning an adults only trip in May to celebrate our 15th anniversary so I'm looking at buying APs this year for two of us.

Where should I keep my eyes peeled for those rates, IF they are released (I know it's not definite)? Is there an AP code watch thread? I know you have to jump on them fast, so I'd like to be prepared just in case.

There are (or will be) threads on these boards - you could even start one!

If you don't have an AP voucher, so you can't check the AP site, these boards are probably the best place to look. Mousesavers.com will also have them listed pretty fast.

Thanks for the reply! I receive the Mousesavers newsletter so I should know pretty quickly that way. I hope something that I can use comes my way. I just saw the Disney Visa offer is coming for Jan./Feb. but I don't have one of those. Boooo!!!

Historically, AP rates for May have been available in early March of that year. Mousesavers keeps a list of historical discounts on their website which will give you an idea of when to expect any type of discount to be announced.

I need January AP rates. I know the Visa offer is supposed to hit for the public on the 5th. I'm hoping the AP rates will be a tad bit better. Otherwise, we'll be renting points again.

I just called this AM (Monday) for the visa code....I was told by the wonderful CM that on Wednesday there will be a better offer for AP rates ...he said he couldn't tell me how much but it was better than visa...so keeping fingers crossed and waiting for Wed morning to call . I hope this helps!!! (And I was looking for Feb so this will help with your Jan rates).

I hope the CM is correct, I would like to know my AP options before free dining ends. Was the cm you talked to actually the Disney number or someone at Disney Visa?
