Hello all, it's Pastina again.

I just wanted you to know that I have tech support on the line, which in this house means my daughter Penny. She is working on helping her backward Mom figure out how to post pictures. When Penny is done rolling her eyeballs at me I'll see if she can't help me figure out this newfangled computer world I seem to be living in these days.

Paul has completely given up on social media after he experienced an incident on Twitter. He kept calling the 2 people that followed him "twits" and they took offense. Penny tried to tell her dad that that was the wrong way to go about Twitter but he just couldn't get it and gave up when he realized that he was only tweeting to himself.... sort of defeats the purpose eh?

I will post those Noodle family pictures some how, some way. Thanks for being patient with this old gal!

Fondly,
Pastina

That Penny is a computer whiz! She figured it out so here we go

In this first shot we have the family line up. From left to right: Paul, Pastina, Penne, Ramen, Floozy, Skinny Ginny and Doosie. We always say that Skinny Ginny is a chip off of the old block since she looks just like a younger version of her Mom, Doosie.

Next up we have a group shot up at our new Family resort.

As you can see in that last shot Bub the noodle dog is photo bombing us. Whenever we take a picture he loves to run in front of the camera and try to wee wee on something. That Bub is the most ridiculous dog I've ever met!

In this next shot we have Skinny Ginny and her nutty dog Bub with Duckie and Larry the lobster. Poor Larry! When ever he gets the chance, Bub will jump on his back and go surfing on Larry. Larry's a good sport about the whole thing but you'd never see anything like that at our last resort (Beach Club)!

Here you have Paul and Ramen cooking up something for dinner during the weekly "the Men do the cooking and the Women order take out". As you can see the guys aren't quite that good at the cooking part yet. Some basic skills are definitely lacking as evidenced by the wrapper remaining on the bacon, which tragically is being cooked on a BBQ grill. Those guys will try to cook anything on a grill!

This is Ramen with his favorite soup. For the longest time this was all he would eat. Now, thanks to his Dad, he has discovered Bacon and Burgers.

Next is a picture I like to call "Fish out of water during Marco Polo". Here we are playing Marco polo. Paul was "it" and we all decided to sneak out of the pool like fish out of water. It took Paul 15 minutes before he decided that he couldn't be that bad at catching us and something must be "Up".

Here is one of Penny and Ramen helping guests with recreation at the pool.

The family that plays together lays together, at least on the pool lounge.

Oh that Bub! If he's not hogging up the sofa he's hogging the pool lounge chair.

It's a good thing he is cute because he is an AWFUL LOT OF WORK!!

So that is our latest update. We are doing well and the kids love being with their cousin. It's great to be back with my sisters and this new family recreation center we are employed at is really working out for us. We will miss the Beach Club, but like I told the kids, we can always come home again.

Take care friends and be sure to have a happy holiday. We will always remember you fondly and we wish you the best. I'm so glad I got to post our update and let you know how we made out. I hope each and every one of you is doing just as well.

Fondly,
Pastina

Dear Pastina (and family)-

I can't thank you enough for the update on your family! We are so glad that you all are well and enjoying yourselves at your new home. I knew you would since your family seems to be really flexible!

Your group gave hours of enjoyment to guests at the Yacht Club/Beach Club for a long time!!!

I'll be sure to add the latest episodes of your adventures to the Noodle Memorial (I mean Historical) Page we have on this forum.

:goodvibes

So glad to see the Noodles are safe and sound. I thought that whole witness protection program rumor was a bit far fetched. :cool2:

Just noticed my ticker. Donald finally made it to the last chair. We change over from xxxx months to xxxx weeks to go! Through some creative scheduling and budgeting (sorry about those weak Christmas gifts guys) we have added one night at the the CR Atrium CL and four nights at BLT before we arrive at BCV's for our annual marathon trip. A trip that started out as a four nighter has now grown to nine. Somebody stop me before they turn my power off!

Noodle family! I'm so sorry I didn't get to meet you, but I sure did enjoy your pictures at your new home!! :)

Second to last day here. Boo hoo! :p We decided to extend our passes one more day, and now we're going to head out to Magic Kingdom for the early hour and a few rides, then we'll head back here for an entire afternoon of fun at SAB. Kids are excited!

Yesterday at Animal Kingdom was fun, though it's not my favorite park. I got some good pictures on the safari, and I did manage to do Expedition Everest not once but twice. Since I hate roller coasters, this was a big accomplihsment for me!

Off to get some breakfast and then head to the bus. Happy day all!

I loved your update! Thank goodness Penne figured it out, because I really enjoyed the clever way you told your story. Someone knows how to work with a graphics program. :cutie:

Hello and Welcome Back, Pas!!!! :yay:

And so funny you mention the monorail. We experienced some monorail delays during our split stay at BC and CR for MNSSHP. One morning, we gave the boys the choice of walking or monorail from CR to MK. Of course, monorail is more festive, so they chose that . . . and it took 45 minutes to get from CR to MK via monorail. We missed the opening show, but I was doing the "glass 1/2 full" routine until my husband said I needed to admit that it was crummy. After MNSSHP at midnight, the boys STILL chose the monorail and my husband laughed, said he'd see us back at the room and headed for the walking path. He was all settled in at CR by the time we arrived!

We're doing a Poly/BWI split (stayed at Poly many times and BWI once before) in January. I know - no BC/YC - but my husband loves BWI and I must compromise. Hoping for better monorail luck at Poly!!!

The kids loved your pool pics...the great thing about poly and mk is the boat..then TTC for epcot. You'll have a great trip. Bc will be next!!

PASTINA :lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Thanks for the update. It seems the whole family is doing well and enjoying life at the new family resort. It's nice to see the dog can join you there since dogs are not permitted at SAB :thumbsup2

Just taking a packing break to catch up with my favorite group. Can't believe we leave in just 2 days. So excited! Can't wait to go "home."

Well, our first stay at the Beach Club was everything we thought it would be (especially after lurking on this thread for months and months) - great location, pleasant staff, BC/YC to park buses were a dream, no issues with housekeeping, and the staff at the concierge desk took extra time to help me change a dinner reservation when it was clear the youngin's had no intention of ending their first SAB experience at 3pm on the day of arrival! We were given 3 rooms in a row - 2 adjoining and all had garden view/water view of the lake and full balconies pixiedust: :woohoo: Sure, there were dings and some small marks on the wall or doors but the bedding, mattresses, daybed cushions, etc were pristine.

Oh and we even met Teena our last day when my kiddo traded pins with her!

The only slight drawback to the trip was the stomach bug 1/3 of our party caught the night before we left (posts about that making the rounds are no joke) and the respiratory infection that I brought home (I was exhausted & running a fever when I met Teena, luckily my mom is very talkative and picked up the slack :flower3:). We had a great time. It would be tough to stay anywhere else now.

I've got the stomach bug now too. It's definitely making the rounds at WDW!!! I'll be at work tomorrow though ... just a few more "breaks" may be needed.

It was great meeting you and your family!

I m finally able to post the rest of my trip stuff.

Tina I dont know what time you started work on 12/2 but we were in the lobby at 8:10 am and it was already a zoo!

Forgot to mention that our lovely shower curtain had a big black stain on the bottom. I didnt complain about it. But this trip had so many "little" things wrong with the room.

Also I got really sick too. As soon as we got off of the Southwest Cattle Car, um, I mean plane, we dropped the suitcases home and my dh took me to urgent care. At first the dr. thought I might have the flu but he said it was a bad sinus infection.

Also can you verify this this Teena? When we were having something shipped from the MK to the resort the CM commented, oh have you seen Neil Patrick Harris? (Thinking she was talking about the Candlelelight Processional). I said, no we didnt. She said, well he is staying at the Beach Club! Hmm, didnt see him.

Also we didnt book another trip because the bounceback offer was for free dining. Now I see someone posting that the bounceback offer changed on Sun. 12/2 :headache: the day we left and checked out so we got to book nothing since the new offer was not in our room. Oh well, such is our luck.

I guess our biggest complaint was the wi fi was horrible. Oh and I do miss the old shampoo and conditioner. So glad you can order it from the H2O website and they are having a 25% off sale right now, so I know what I am buying myself:)

Hope everyone going soon has a great trip!

Yep, he stays at the BC. I start at 9:30 AM. However, sometime in the new year, we are going on 10 hour days so I believe my new start time will be 8:00 am.

Speaking of the new shampoo, etc. ... they changed the soap and body lotion on the cruise ships too. Instead of body butter, it is now lotion. I'm not as happy with it. I have to look on the website. I'm hoping you can still order the butter.

Noodle adventures were great!

Almost time - we will fly out of Saudi Tuesday :thumbsup2

Teena we will see you next Sunday the 16th hopefully! We have to get checked in and move out to MVMCP that evening!

So looking forward to our stay at BCV! :hyper:

Hi guys! I've been down with an awful respiratory infection (working at the school I'm picking up everything) and getting ready for our schools Santa's Secret Workshop that I run.

Pastina - so glad you are settled although we will miss your BC/YC antics!

Our ADR date is December 31 so I'm going nuts figuring that out. I never know what we're eating the next day but somehow I can pick out dinner six months in advance!

I can't wait to get back to the BC!

Teena - when do your Christmas guests arrive?

Dee - just wanted to say hello!

Good morning, BC/YC friends! I suppose it could be hard to believe I can be so positive when today is "check-out" day, but the truth is, we have had a WONDERFUL trip, and it's hard to be down when you've had such a great vacation! :) Yesterday, we did half a day at Magic Kingdom, where we rode all the rides my kids wanted to do again: Barnstormer, Space Mountain (not me!), Haunted Mansion, Thunder Mtn Railroad, Splash Mountain (even me!), Pirates of the Carribean. There may have been others, but I can't remember. We also had a chance to see Capt Jack Sparrows Pirate Tutorial, which was entertaining. I am always so amazed at how these cast members/characters can still inject humor into shows that you know they had to have performed a hundred times. :thumbsup2

It was suprisingly cloudy/foggy all morning, but the sun finally broke through around 1pm, so we headed back to the hotel for a fun afternoon in SAB. Actually, the kids and DH headed there while I ran...FIVE MILES!! *thud* Yep, I sure did. I timed it so I would end at the entrance to SAB, and, having already gotten my wrist band, I waved my arm at the lifeguard and then headed straight for the pool. It felt great!! We all swam for hours, DS#2 got to play pool volleyball and they both went down the slide a bunch of times. I went down once, too, but I didn't care for the way the slide "seams" kept hitting my back, so once was good for me. :)

In the evening, we headed over to 'Ohana, where we indulged every bit of our carnivore fantasies. ;) And then we got to enjoy what I believe to be the BEST dessert not just at Disney but ANYWHERE: the tropical bread pudding! THAT was the reason I ran five miles ;) and I enjoyed every bite. :)

Now I have to go get the room cleaned up...the kids are hoping to swim one last time while I do that, but it sure is foggy this morning! Hope it clears up soon!

When we get home and I get a few spare moments in between all the homework and school projects to catch up on, I will post a "photo" trip report on my website with lots of pictures. Thanks for letting me do these mini-trip reports every day...it's been great to have a place to write it down so I wouldn't forget! :thumbsup2

Hope you're all having a great day!
