Stormalong Bay was great. The kids loved the sand bottom pool and the slide. Current Pool hours are 10 AM to 10 PM

My kids went on the Albatross Treasure Cruise and had a great time...they loved seeing the countries of Epcot before it opened. While the kids were gone my husband and I walked around the boardwalk with our littlest one and snapped a few pics...

Good spot to fill in a little time so how about an mini rundown on our 'new' stuff for this trip. So many new experiences to try. Here's a sampling>

  • Originally had 4 nights scheduled at BC, That was just not good enough. Called and added a GV room on the Dark Side for a couple nights. Really looking forward to seeing how my other naughtical (naughty) brothers and sisters live.
  • Yak and Yeti. Menu sounds good and most reviews like it.
  • EMH at MK, Yes those EMH's that they tack on at the end of the day for the zombies and the night creatures. We tried EMH evening years ago and ran screaming from EPCOT at the shear sight of this horror. Well, we're going to MK again -12am to 3am, Just seems cool to be in HM at 3 am. Will let you know.
  • Flying Fish Cafe....Always wanted to and the time is right
  • La Hacienda de San Angel New, we like Mexican, What the heck
  • Teppan Edo...first time since 1983. How's that for giving a second chance.
  • And to wrap it up Characters at Cape May Breakfast on our departure day.
  • And if there any 'special missions' that need taken care of please let me know. I will boldly go into closets
that no man has ever gone

Yak n Yeti is one of the few TS we've never tried. Have to do it one of these trips. Loved La Hacienda although we thought the portion sizes were small. Flying Fish is one of our must dos now. So very good. If you enjoy risotto, the chef has a new special every couple weeks apparently. Each one we've tried has been soooo delicious.

Enjoy trying the dark side. We loved our one short stay there. :cloud9: Have a wonderful trip, Mickey T!

Hi BCV23, Yes we are having dinner at the chef's table at V&A!! I'm on the fence on adding the wine paring... DD would love that so I just might do it!!! I can't wait for this trip it is going to be amazing!!

Do you not share your dates for a reason or just because it's a wait list thing??

~Nannette

What exciting plans. I didn't realize the Chef's Table was included on the platinum plan. :cool1: We celebrated an anniversary at the Chef's Table one year...very memorable. We almost always get the wine pairings at V&A. They do an incredible job with those. Highly recommend it but I also recommend not driving that night. :rotfl: Your trip sounds absolutely marvelous. :cloud9:

I don't give exact dates as there were a few really nasty people on the forums years ago who seemed to have learned my name. :confused3 At least two live in the Chicago area so I don't advertise when I'll be gone. Sad, isn't it? :sad2: Luckily they no longer post. :surfweb:

We are here and were upgraded to a 2 bdrm suite

:cool1::cool1::cool1: Amazing!

OOH LA LA! Enjoy.

Packing now, leave at 8 am tomorrow!

Have a great vacation!!

hi, and may I first say thank you to all who take the time to post and make life a little (actuall) alot easier in the planning of our trip...

This will be our 9th trip to Disney ...but our very 1st time staying at a Disney Resort...I am more excited than words could say....

as I said this being our 1st stay in park..(we usuall stay in kissimme or international drive....)
.I poured over many threads...and am so happy that the BC is our pick....

I went back and forth between the poly or contempory...but this seems like this will be a perfect fit....

I absolutely love, love the pics of the hotel....thank you all again..

our dates are sept.7-14th....there will be a total of 10 of us, our first trip with the grandkids...Jackson 1 1/2 and...Kaila 2 1/2 (her 3rd time ) AND she has stayed in the park all 3 times....
thanks again cant wait to read more:cool2:

Glad you decided to join in the fun. :grouphug: What a wonderful resort to pick for your first onsite stay! :dance3:

One month from today is when my family and I are having our 1st stay at the Beach Club and I am really looking forward to it.

Getting so close, CRFan! :wizard:

Feckless, I know for certain that the toy guns can not go in carryons. Way back in 83 when security was nothing like it is today, we had a toy gun from WDW in our eldest son's carry on. At the ticket counter, the agent asked if we had toy guns and told us we needed to switch it to our checked luggage. I guess even then they were very accustomed to WDW merchandise. :rotfl:

We took advatage of all of the food choices the BC had to offer. We grabbed breakfast from the BC Marketplace many mornings and did the character breakfast at Cape May the morning we departed. I had the yogurt parfait just about everyday...it is considered a snack if you are on the dining plan. We had the sushi, pizza and turkey sandwiches for lunch one day from the market place. We also ordered burgers, grilled cheese and hotdogs poolside for lunch one day. The PinacoLavas are yummy! We ate at Beaches and Cream for dinner one night...pic of the Mickey Mouse Sundae below. We enjoyed the buffet dinner at Cape May. The kids liked the paper tablecloth that they could color on. I would be happy to answer any questions I can...

YC or BC? We had a standard cl at YC with the larger daybed. Loved the room. :cloud9:

1 Minnie & 3 Mickeys, loved the photos and report. I miss BCV. :sad1:
Thanks, too, kldmom2000 for your report and photos. Loved the lightning photos. :surfweb: Jennifer, enjoyed your report, too. So good of all of you to share with us. :grouphug:

Love the photos. Thanks for posting. Did you have a two bedroom dedicated villa? I was thinking perhaps you did because of the double sink in the bathroom.

I just want to say that the intro pages for this thread are the best I've seen yet for any resort thread.

Really well designed! :cheer2:

Yep it was the Dedicated 2 bedroom. So only one entrance into and out of the villa. In leiu of having 2 queen beds in the second bedroom we had 1 Queen bed and 1 pull out sofa.

In case anyone is keeping a list somewhere...we were in room 423 and had a view of the front entrance circle. Where you would pull your car through when checking in. Not a great view but a super close location to the marketplace and SAB.

Webmaster Dee :worship: (natebenma)! Between her and Teena this site has it covered.

Wow yes that is very sad that you can't share... but better safe than sorry!! Actually the chefs table is not a part of the platinum plan I've upgraded it... DD is about to be engaged to a chef and I thought she would love that she can tell him shes eating at the chefs table at Disney!! When we are out with him its always at the chefs table with all the chefs making a fuss so why not have that at Disney ;o) I'm going to add the wine paring because she would love that as well.. and I won't plan to drive that night (taking your advice ;o))
We have the firework cruise planned that night as well so that should be fun!! I'll be posting live while I'm there!!! So maybe you'll follow along!!

Hi all,

Well our August trip is approaching quickly and after a lenghty noodle custody battle which included many lawyers, name calling, and even the threat of taking the noodles out of state, I am happy to announce that a visitation agreement has been reach.(HAHA). Tortoni will be leaving the noodles at Bell Services in my name which I will pick up on 8/11. I will have the noodles until late afternoon on 8/12 and at that time I will hand them off to Mom3girls. She will have the noodles for 8/12,13,14,15 and I will receive the noodles back on 8/16 and will keep them until our departure on 8/19. If anyone wants the noodles late on the day on 8/18 I would love to pass them off instead of checking them into bell service on 8/19.

Chris

Please remove us from the noodle swap. My MIL got some on clearance to take with us.

It sounds like an amazing Dis visit/Baby Shower! How wonderful. This group is an amazing group of people.

It also makes this news even harder. Last night with some Disney digging I found an amazing deal on a Magic Kingdom View-Atrium Club room at the Contemporary. So, this morning our TA switched our reservations. We actually ended up saving $300 to move away from BC.
