Hi Laurie and welcome!! Can I add you to our November 2011 Who's Where List?? I add you to page 3 and then Dee will add your name to the main list located on page 1. Let me know and I'll add you to page 3 tomorrow.

~Nannette

Yes please do add me to the list and thank you;) Thank you to all for the welcome wishes, you are all so sweet and seem like such a tight-knit group:thumbsup2!

I already have another question for you: We will be staying CL, do they have chocolate milk or just white milk?

Thanks again,
Laurie

Anyone know about the marshmallows? Are they supplied at the campfire, or can you purchase them there or at the BC Marketplace? How much???

They were provided at the campfire free of charge. They had a basket filled with little baggies of marshmallows. There were between 4-6 marshmallows in each baggie. (They were all the same amount...I just don't remember exactly!)

Will do!! When we stayed there last October there was chocolate milk.... I am the chocolate milk drinker of our family. I asked one night when we returned from the park and they brought me out a glass :thumbsup2

Happy Planning!!

Woah! I don't think I've ever seen the ToT in the background of Boardwalk pictures-that's awesome!

We are staying at POP Century but have dinner ressies at Cape May. How much does it cost to valet park?

You can park at any resort for free. I am not sure what or if they charge for valet. The parking lot for the Beach Club is just a very short walk across a bridge to the hotel entrance. If you are able, I would just park and walk.

Valet parking is $12/day + tip. It is free if you have a handicapped tag or if you have a Tables in Wonderland card. But as PittPantherfan said, it is free to self park and walk.

Hello BC/YC fans! I have a quick question about an e-mail I just received from IPO (YC/BC IPO said they handle both BC and BWI.)

I'm working on a mini in-room pirate celebration for our boys. I started with IPO and at first they (Zoila) were very willing to help. Then IPO (Annie) referred me to the Disney Florist. Disney Florist would not customize a pirate celebration for us, and suggested we contact IPO. (I explained all about YC FAN, but no luck!) So I contacted IPO again and they (Omar) were very willing to help again and we were all set to go.

I just received a message from IPO (Annie again) informing me that there is a new policy that they cannot set up gift items in a room before arrival and check-in. Just wondering if anyone knows of this policy change. Robyn, you're both a pro and arriving soon, so I thought you might have some insight!

Thanks! :)

I went through Disney Events Group since I was having the Illuminations Dessert Party and the custom in-room celebration was something suggested by them but definitely coordinated through Disney Florist. I also called just this week about a custom basket and they told me I would have to order the things I wanted and have it shipped to them and then they would fix it in a basket and deliver it. Ummm, if I have to do that then I don't need to go through them and add a fee for putting it in a basket. I even mentioned the in-room celebrations I had just had done and they acted as if they didn't know anything about it. I really believe it just depends on who you get on the phone because they have certainly done custom baskets for me before.

IPO has been a wonderful help for me for this trip and they have not mentioned not being able to put things in the room on arrival. This will be interesting to see how this new policy turns out. IPO being able to do these kinds of things is absolutely what keeps me coming back to club level. If they stopped doing these things I'm not sure it would make club level special enough to justify the difference in cost.

I have to agree with YCFAN - I think Disney will be making a huge mistake if they believe that people book cl only for the breakfasts and appetizers!
Being able to do all the "little touches" is what keeps us coming back too.

YCFAN - we'll be driving through Lumberton in about 24 days - I'll honk!

Natebenma - loved your cookies and milk surprise! We had a nice surprise in our room when we checked in last year too - white chocolate mickey and chocolate covered strawberries. Believe it or not all three of the youngest kids are allergic to milk (but can have milk products - go figure) so no cookies and milk for us ever!

Things have been crazy here - my sister and her husband were away for two weeks (on a tiny island in the Bahamas!) so I've been running like crazy with taking care of my Mom. Now that she's back I'll have time to write out my list for BC IPO to make our little "welcome baskets" - hopefully there won't be any problems!

Can't wait to hear how Marlton Mom is doing - did she get a balcony - how she likes BC!

Robyn: I was driving down I-95 yesterday and actually thinking, "wonder if they would arrest me if I tried to hang a banner over the bridge at Exit 22 that says Hello DisneyMomx7!" :rotfl2:

I wanted to share some photos of our room view, and a few I had promised to bring back to the boards...

We had club level 5627 which was a garden view,

We had a slight view of the lake and boardwalk

This is the crib fit into the room

Our meals from Yachtsmen Steakhouse (one filet and one strip)

Both were delicious but the steak was better at the Flying Fish!

GREAT photos- just wanted to ask what you did with all the people? What time did you take this picture?

I think I took it on our last full day, probably about 9 or 9:30 ish, so that would have been a Thursday morning in September.....can't beat the (lack of) crowds! ;) I was so suprised that it turned out so well and with no one in it! Just pure luck!

Hi all! I just booked the beach club online for next April and there was no place to put a room request. I only wanted to put one request...full balcony. How and when can I add the request?

Well it would definitely wake me up!!!!

Can't wait for our Dis Meet in the BC Solarium!

I believe you have to call the reservations number to add the request, but that can be done at any time.

You just need to post your dates here and I will add your name to our Page 1 Guest Lists. I keep the main list on Page 1, you may see lists on other pages- different people are keeping sub-lists to help me out.

Thank you Natebenma. I appreciate your help regarding the marshmallows. It seems little but my DS is very excited about toasting marshmallows on the beach.... We will be at the YC from 8/17 - 8/23. Thanks again :flower3:

I'm looking forward to the Dis meet also. It will be great to see you again!!

I noticed the post about free valet parking with TIW card. I've had the TIW for a few years now and always paid for valet parking at the resort, never thought about it before. Can you get free valet parking at your resort if you have the TIW card or would it be only for dinner at other resorts?

I believe it's only for other resorts. Here is what allears says:
"Tables in Wonderland members receive complimentary valet parking when dining at a participating restaurant. Simply show your membership card to the valet when you drop off your car."

I'm here now. RESORT WEAR will be appearing in Oct/ Nov. As per market place staff. Hope to see Teena tommorow... Richard is getting sick of me stalking him and asking if he needs a break. Too busy for words on this trip. I'll report more
when I get home

Thanks for the info, I was kinda hoping for the resort wear to be avail in Aug:sad1:
Enjoy floating around SAB in your noodle!! Hide some of those CL treats from the raid for me!!

I was a little bummed about the resort wear. I saw it at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, the Boardwalk, and the Grand Floridian.

Either way, I am still uploading pictures from the trip. We have satellite internet and I have to make sure I don't use up my daily bandwidth.

I made reservations for my Mother-Daughter trip this afternoon. We went back and forth about staying at POFQ or CSR, but we finally decided that the $$ we were going to spend for the Deluxe Dining Plan at either place was better spent at the Beach Club.

A few things about the Beach Club--pictures to follow and I think I will be doing a full tr which is going to be heavy on the information.

1. I made the request for a full balcony and did online checkin. I knew we were going to be getting to the resort very, very early, so I felt that the chance of having the room ready without the full balcony was great. Our room was ready (Sunday at 7am) and my singular request was granted.

2. We had a courtyard view that could have also been classified as a water view. When I post pictures, one could see.

3. We had a second floor room (2575). It was very comfortable, and after being in POR for so long, it was to us a huge room!

4. Our Mousekeeper was excellent! We came in every day to see what she did with my daughter's Minnie Mouse next.
