Maura-Sorry about the rough run...great job finishing, though! I might have given up with those issues! I think the YakTracks would help with the loose snow. I have yet to try mine because most of the roads I run are have been pretty well plowed when I am running...but some of the side roads have that same loose snow...what a pain! It is worse than running in sand! Also, we are super excited to have you cheering for the Steelers!!!
Tracy-Welcome! You seem to have a very full running schedule this year! Thanks for the input on the YakTracks. As I told Maura, I still have not tried them, I might have used them on Saturday during my run. The roads around my neighborhood are still pretty snow covered, but once I get to the main road it is clear. There is still a lot of winter left, though, so I am sure I will get to try them out soon!
Steve-Have fun on your cruise! I have never been on one, but I have heard about all the food...good luck trying to work it all off!
Hope everyone else is staying warm! I have been getting my long runs in and am up to 6 miles with 6 weeks until the Princess 1/2. I am feeling pretty good about that! My longest run is supposed to be a 10 miler, but I may try to do 11...we will see when the time comes! My mom just ordered me a Sparkle Skirt for an (early) birthday gift for me to wear for the race. It should be here for me to try by early next week! I am super excited about that! I also just ordered a Nathan Speed Pack (in Pink of course!) which should be here in time for next weekend's long runs. All the new gear should keep me motivated!

I can't be mad, because at the point I was at in my career, there really were no truly 'bad' officers and for the most part everyone was deserving of being retained. I am of the mindset that everything happens for a reason, so I am approaching this hurdle with that in mind. For the first time in 12 years, I don't have the Air Force telling me where I'm going to live, so we're looking to relocate back to Florida. The job search is on, and as soon as I can secure a job down there, we'll be headed back 'home'.

It had been over a month since I went for a run. My doctor had me trying some blood pressure medication for headaches I've been having, but after 3 weeks on it (with no relief from the headaches), I felt like crap. I had no energy and was walking around like a zombie...my resting heart rate was down to 40! The doc told me that I would feel a little more tired when I went for my runs, but this was ridiculous...I couldn't even get out the door. So I went off the medicine and am finally feeling more normal again. I met a friend this morning and ran with a local running group that's training for the OKC marathon. I did a very slow 6 miles, but it felt good.
