We have reservations at Ft Wilderness from April 15th to the 25th 2011.When we made the reservations we were told that the price we were quoted would be adjusted as soon as the rates were established. In most cases it would be adjusted lower.(not holding my breath)
Does anyone know if the rates have been published?
Thanks
Don

Not yet, but I would assume in the next few weeks. They are usually out around August.

I have already received the revised rates for my 2011 trips - one via email and one snail mail. Several other people have posted that they received them also. The rates have not been posted anywhere yet but pending reservations have been modified. If you want to see if your reservation has been adjusted, just logon to the disney website and pull your reservation. It will show you the new total.

How bad were the increases?

I got an email the other day about our reservations in late January. It looks like Friday and Saturday nights are $79 and the other nights are $76. This is for a premium site.

Seems a little steep since we went in 2008. I think back then it was around $60/night.

Just logged on and put in my reservation #. The rate that was quoted to me has not changed. I am still showing 127.12 per day rate. I need to call reservations tomorrow.

Late January has traditionally been Value season. In 2008 Value Preferred (there were no Premium sites in 08) was $56 + tax.

The 76/79 is a small increase

For my January rate 2011 (value season, full hookup), it's 61 weekday, 64 weekend.

Not too bad of an increase since January 2010 was 59/62.

Preferred should be $5 more and Premium should be $15 more than full hookup.

dfg02790 - It appears you are going during Easter and last year Easter rates for a premium were $110 so your rate of $127.12 might be the correct rate.

. . . .
In 2010 during Value season the pricing was the same seven nights a week, so it looks like they both increased the price and split the week with a higher weekend price.

Tim - They did split the weekend/weekday rates during the value season in 2010. At least according to the rate chart I have. I always use Allears.net site for rate info - http://allears.net/acc/faq_fw.htm

Tim - I love those rates for 1991 that are on your website. Those were the good old days, wish I camped during that time.

91 was the firs time I stayed in a cabin, oh I mean a trailer at FW. I wish I had my price sheet form my 1973/74 stay. No idea what that cost a night:hippie:

We paid $174 for an adult passport back in 1991 and when we first started camping at FW in 1986 we paid $30.24 for a full hookup site.

In 1974 we paid $300/wk on a Magic Kingdom Club package. It included the campsite for 6 nights, 4 days admission for 2 to the MK, 4 books of A-E ride tickets, 2 books of Magic Key ride tickets, one meal every day, and a 2 books of alternative activities - such as HDDR or Poly Review, Marshmallow Marsh, Water Sprite rental or horseback riding, Sunday Brunch at the then Top of the World restaurant at the CR, unlimited use of the FtW RR. There were other options, but I don't remember what they were. You could swim in Bay Lake then, and there was a dive platform about 100 yards out from the beach. $300 for all of that sounds like such a bargain now, but then it was a LOT of $$$. Both my DH & I were starting our careers with the Telco and combined, we did not make $300/week. I made $120/wk & DH made $150/wk before taxes! That was fairly decent pay for a couple of 20 year olds!

In 1976 we often snagged a campsite for $12/night - no ressie required!! 36 years later you can easily pay 10 times that amount! Ahhhh,,, to pay 1976 rates on 2010 wages. THAT would be magical!

We starting camping there in 1979 and I remember paying $25 a night, no reservation needed. We would just drive up and they always had sites. But we had decided that we were only camping at the better CG and that to get into one you had to pay a high price, which was $25 a night.

My reservations for the first couple of weeks of January have been updated with 2011 pricing. $66 for the weeknights, $69 for the weekend {Marathon weekend} for a preferred site.
