2011 Rates Released-- THIS MORNING! ON-LINE!!!

called to have AAA discount added to my reservation and was told the discount wouldn't be out until december as with past years. I told her I was always able to do it when packages came out and she said yes, but they aren't out either. I let her know they are out as of this morning online.

I WAS able to get AAA added to my reservation but it is looking like about 18.75% which is odd.

I think I read this somewhere before but want to confirm with the experts on here. (this will be our first trip)

Can I book now for our May 2011 trip and then apply a discount if/when one becomes available?

Is it $200 to hold reservation if you are not paying in full?

TIA.

Yes, you can book now for May 2011 and apply discounts at a later time. If you book a package it is $200 deposit, if you book room only it is the cost of the room for one night.

This was certainly a surprise (but a good one)! We just called to get our AAA discount applied to our room only reservation and it certainly saved us some money.

Woohoo for discounts :lmao:

Yahoo! Just booked our Grand Gathering for next September! 11 nights at POP! Now the long wait for some sort of discount or promotion! Hoping for free dining of course.....or, since I'm going this September, a bounceback offer of free dining that I could apply would work out perfect! Fingers crossed!:cool1:

I was all excited but now I'm confused. We're planning on going in the first week of December 2011. According to AllEars and the Dis main site the room rates are $154 and $164 for CSR during that time as it's considered value season (2010 dates are 11/28-12/16 for value). So this morning I played around with the disney world site and the room rates are coming up as $169 and $179. I knew the rates were going up for 2011 but that isn't an increase IMO, it seems like it is no longer value season, is the beginning of December considered regular season now? That would mean no part of December is value anymore and now I'm re-thinking when we should go. GRrrr!

I just checked rates for October 2011 and they appear to be less than this year for Pop: 10 $ per room less. Is that really possible??? Would be too great to believe!! :goodvibes

after looking on the disney website I found the area that shows the different seasons and accoridng prices. Our dates (first week of December) are now considered Fall Season which is something I didn't know they even had so I'm assuming this is a new seasonal category? Ugh. Whatever, it's still a little less than regular season but I was hoping for the value season prices and the value season AAA discount.

Yippee :woohoo: Thanks, DISer's for always being on top of Disney news :thanks: Now if Southwest would just release their airfare pixiedust:

SO glad I can finally accurately budget for the trip...but YIKES! It seems so much more expensive than I was expecting! Thankfully I had already over-estimated and over-budget, but still. May have to cut our trip a day or two short this year.

I just did comparing between 2010 and 2011 pricing for BC for October. 2011 prices seem to have dropped $5 per night for all dates I checked. This includes Columbus Day weekend, which also dropped $5 per night. So that's good news!

How much was it? And is calculated per night of your stay, so for example 15% OF $150 or is x% off your total hotel bill? I know it doesn't count towards the package. I hadn't considered the AAA discount before, but I want to book the CR and would love to at least apply the AAA up front and if something better comes along...which, god willing, it will, I can apply it then.

Well, I had a late July CR Tower MK view for 6 nights. I went from roughly $3,400 to roughly $2,900 with AAA.

It is a percentage of your nightly or total bill. My BC reservation went from $2098 to $1706 total, comes out to like 18.66%-weird amount, I will be calling AAA tomorrow

So if you book your package for a week, you can change it once the deals come out? When do the deals normally come out?

:woohoo:  :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

FINALLY, they have arrived!! Now I can figure out how much to save for next year <whew!>
