2011 Planning - join me!

I am SOOO hoping for a good deal/pin code for next year....I have DH talked into the Contemporary or Poly if we can swing it!!!!

Can someone help me out on this? I'm trying to plan for Jan/Feb 2011, we were considering a stay at the contemporary, but when I put in 2011 dates it says they are only booking through december 2010 right now? But other folks have said they have reservations last september on this thread. I am looking on the disney site and also on AAA travel. Am I missing something? Is it resort specific? Is there some special access?

And if its not something like that - does anyone know when they will open up jan 2011? It seems strange that they aren't booking more than 9 months out?

I tried couple other resorts and got the same thing?

May I join too? We will be heading back January 2011 ! As of now, looking to stay at Poly, WL or CBR depending on how work is going . For our January '10 trip, I rebooked in mid-'09 with a pin I received. We still saved some $$$ even though the lowest cost rooms were no longer available.

You will not be able to book your 2011 trip until the 2011 rates come out. They come out sometime in August....after that, you can book for anytime in 2011. If you really want to book for your Jan/Feb trip, then I would call CRO and tell them you want to book. They will only do a room only reservation for you and will only give you the 2010 rates, then once the 2011 rates comes out, they will then adjust the new price. Then if you want to get a package, you can always upgrade to that.

We are already planning our trip for Jan! I am not sure where to stay, but we are leaning towards AKL.

We will be there in March 2011, also. After FREEZING our butts off last week in Orlando, we may try for later March, but are scared of the Spring Break crowds. Having empty parks last week was super!

What's freezing? We are thinking of going in January. I found that in December the weather was just right, is it colder in January?

Thanks for the info on the reservations, I called and made tentative reservations for the contemporary for Jan 2011. I am hoping I can take advantage of the steep AP discount.

It was between 40-50 (high) last week. I know this past January was colder than that, but I'm pretty sure that isn't normal.

Count us in for April 1-10th, 2011!!!! I am such a planner, but am very disappointed that I can't shop the rates yet, or even book yet. This morning the website said you could only book through Dec 31, 2010. Don't quite get that, but I guess I will figure it out!!! Still trying to decide on a resort, but pricing would help out a lot!!! With Easter being so late next year, I wonder what the rate will be like around our time???

I went for a spring break trip last March too...but we go during the second week of march...the crowds really aren't that bad then...most school's have their spring break later than us, at the end of march...so i would suggest going earlier if you can

I was expecting tems in the low 70's and seems this year it's kind of low Now I'm thinking of going back for Thanksgiving 2011, not really sure what to do The main reason I picked March was low crowds and Easter is so late next year. I can't take off too close to Easter. Hmmmmmmm now I have to really think about this

I think I'm going to wait and see when they schedule the Princess half-marathon, and avoid that weekend!

Hmm...that is a tough decision. The temperature wasn't bad last year...of course, I am from Illinois, so I am used to cooler tems than the Floridians, But like you said, it has been cooler there this year....but you could get lucky! It could be normal next year

Let's hope so We'll be heading there during President's week in 2011. NH schools are going to be on the same break as our neighbors from Mass next year.
