2011 Free Dining is Extended! New dates as of 8/3

I finally got a pin code for Disney free dining and it was only good up until 8/13/11! We will be going in December! I'm hoping that we will eventually get a pin code for the dates we will be there. It would really help!

I am also waiting for December...I've been getting the Pin Codes as well, but none of them are what I need...the trip is December no matter what...40th Birthday trip! So, here's hoping for something...I'm really thinking it will get extended...

Hi all!

I'm brand new here at the DIS, and I'm waiting and hoping for Free Dining in September! I, also, got a PIN sent to me for Free Dining but since it expires in August it (naturally) doesn't help for my trip, haha!

I did notice (this may have already been mentioned and I just missed it) that all current offers are only good for arrivals up through August 13th. Since ALL of the current offers end then, it's giving me hope that things will be extended for value season!

Since I already booked my trip from August 10-19, do you think I have any hope of getting a free dining pin? I have been on the web site every day, doing all sorts of things. I think my chances are pretty slim to none. Oh, well. We are still going. Having free dining sure would be grand since the kids are all considered adults now.

As far as I can tell, who gets the PIN numbers is randomly selected. There is always a chance, though! And even if you don't get one, I know last year I recieved a PIN and then they ALSO released a free dining offer to the general public on top of that (I'm assuming because not enough people booked using their PIN code and then needed to fill more rooms).

So even if you don't get a PIN, there's still definitely a chance that you could get a free dining offer anyway. Keep your fingers crossed- I know I will!

There were a whole bunch of dates and to be honest I only remember that our dates of August 19th thru 27th was in their !Actually August 19th was the first day of it after a long summer NO FD !! I seem to think it ran into October !!I called Disney on the 20th and was able to hold the package for 7 days till I could pay the deposit !!The last time I went and we got FD it was a nightmare waiting till they annopunced it and I believe it was mis April sooooo there is still time !!

There is no guarantee a similar deal will be offered this year.

Just to be clear, you CAN'T book this offer anymore. Getting a PIN is the only way to get free dining right now.

"There is an announcement Friday Morning (April 6) from Disney. Nobody knows what the announce is, but I would think is has to do with a new Disney World Vacation offer. If you are planning a Disney Vacation this year, please save yourself some time and money and book today & *** Vacations will switch you if a better offer comes out. Be ahead of the crowd. www.***Vacations.com"

There is also a common thought that April 6th will be the first booking day for the new cruising itineraries for the Magic. that would explain the agents being offered OT.
Either way I am sure we DISboarders will know as soon as it's posted!

Early last week I saved a vacation package on Disney's website for the first time. Today I got an email from them saying "we're so glad you're thinking about staying with us in September!" It also had my dates, resort choice, number of people going, everything listed out followed by a note saying to call and book by 5/12/2011 and to mention my PIN number when booking... but it didn't say what the PIN was good for!

Since the booking date is different from the booking dates I've seen on other things, do you think this new PIN (different from the free dining PIN I got last week... I checked!) might be for Free Dining for my actual trip?

Has anyone else gotten an email like this? With all of the buzz about an offer coming at the end of the week, I can't help but be nervous and excited!

If that wasn’t enough news for one week, we also were informed yesterday that there would be another announcement on Friday morning. Since there are only a couple limited room-only discounts with Walt Disney World right now, we anticipate that this will be another general public offer, hopefully for dates in the Fall and early Winter, 2011. We may very well see a free dining offer. With the recent PIN codes we have seen, this is possible. Once we have information on that announcement, we will get information to you.
