I had a similar experience to you all - 30 min wait, repeating all the conditions on every booking, etc but the CM was lovely and courteous.
got everything I wanted:
Nov 3 Italian dessert and wine
Nov 4 French Regional Lunch
Nov 5 Taste Shake and Indulge
Nov 6 Discovery of Chocolate

As for the credit card thing it totally depends on which cast member you get, because the computer makes them charge each event separately. The really good ones (like the one I got) will put your events in the "box" to save them, and then ask for your card number once and charge your credit card for each event. The others will ask for your credit card number each time you book an event. And some of the cast members will accept if you tell them you are aware of the policies. Others won't, because they're required to read them.

If you're asked for your resort reservation number when you're doing a time-sensitive multiple booking like this, say you don't have one - I like to say I'm staying at the Dolphin. One year I wasted a lot of time with the CM trying to find the resort reservation and add it to the first event I booked before moving on to the second one.

The 45 minute wait time estimate was just about right on for me. Got through and booked everything we wanted!

The CM knew what she was doing, it just took about 10 minutes to book the 3 events. Unfortunately, I was on the phone almost an hour with my cell using roaming from Canada. I can't imagine what the phone call will cost...


It's only 5 am here- back to bed for me!

I wish he was going to be there over my dates. I'd love to see him in person.

Well, that was a frustrating experience. Got through at 7, went through menus, and then got air. Called back, on hold for 50 minutes. Got an agent, got into the Flying Fish signature dinner, and got disconnected before it was paid for.

Another 30 minutes on hold, by then the dinner was gone. Already knew the Citricos dinner was booked too. So booked two different French Lunches, and PFTS on line. At least we got the lunches.

I was so excited we were going to be there for the really nice dinners at Citricos and FF. Sigh.

We have spotty cell service and I spent my wait time nervous that I would be disconnected. The very first thing I did when talking with the agent was ask her to take down my phone number in case we were disconnected mid-call. I didn't want to wait all that time and end up with nothing due to my cell carrier's poor service!

Went through IPO at 9am, got the Cat Cora dinner (YEA!) but on different night than wanted. Hard to complain since we're going to WDW and can go to such a cool event.

Confirmed that Cat Cora is sold out October 25th.

Congrats on finally getting through and getting what you wanted!

We'll also be at the French Regional Lunch on Sept 30. It will be nice to have a fellow Louisianian there! Daughter and son-in-law (also from NOLA) are hoping to join us as well.

LOL! Mine took the number (or at least pretended to) and didn't mention not being able to call me back. I suppose I'm glad the agent didn't tell me, so that I didn't spend the entire phone call in that nervous at-the-mercy-of-AT&T state of mind!

What dates are you there? They're doing other wine dinners at FF that aren't "official" Food and Wine events. You might be able to do one of those!

If you're just looking to book a Party For the Senses without the Wine View Lounge add-on or a 3D Dessert Discovery without the Sweet Seats add-on, those events can be booked online. There is now a "Make A Reservation" link next to the event listings on the website.

I can forsee some confusion, however, since the reservation engine button has you "search for a table" instead of searching for ticket availability. Oops.

Earlier this am I called to make a booking in the Culinary adventures in Signature Dining for Bongos on 11/10. CM told me there was nothing available....then went on hold to "ask a supervisor" who "confirmed" it was booked up.

I didn't believe this.

I called back, and after another 30 mins + of being on hold, got another CM who promptly found the event and took my reservation.

Take home lesson?....verify the unbelievable.

My foodie friend (shovan) & I were booking the same events so she got in right at 6 am and had all of our events booked in no time, while I was still on hold!!!!

We're doing:

10/20 - Flying Fish wine dinner (Chile)
10/21 - Frunch
10/22 - Tequila Lunch
10/23 - Truffle Lunch
10/25 - Cat Cora signature dinner at Kouzzina

Maybe you should try and call back if you can. I read that someone tried this morning (early) and couldn't get one of the events, but just tried back and there was availability. It can't hurt.
