2011 dining plan changes

I booked Le Cellier today for my January vacation and it reflects 1 TS as of now. I plan to take that confirmation with me. :)

There is a very small chance that guests who start their vacation prior to 1/1/2011 who will be using the 2010 dining plan might catch a break.

The terms of the plan say restaurants are subject to change. The current brochure clearly refers to the 2010 DDP.

It's also possible the name of the restuarnat will change.

I wouldn't do anything until the change is officially announced. At some point in time you might want to make an alternate reservation (unless you're prepared to pay 2 credits).

They have? Where do I find those? That would help me so much for our May '11 trip!QUOTE]

They have the January hours posted but it is technically under December. If you scroll down you will see January, but nothing after that.

So when will they release the dining plan info for next year?

They should be required to have it ready 180 days before January 1st since people are started to plan their dining at that time.

:thumbsup2

That would be nice, but I understand that they choose January because it is so slow. If there is any month to decide on the next years pricing, this is the one. Could you imagine if they tried changing things in March or April?

Good luck with that because it won't help you much. I'm also going in January but decided to make my LeCellier for lunch and not doing the DDP. I was in your situation a few years ago and it didn't matter how many CMs told me it would be OK, it was not honored. Here's my story:

Booked our trip for July with our 10 yo grandson. (a few years ago). We made our ADRs in April to include several buffets. Back then kids were kids up to age 11. I had everything booked. Then in June it was announced that the age would drop to 9. I called several times and was told time and time again, not to worry, since I made my ADRs before the change, the CMs at each location would honor the old price -- NOT! I went to Cape May (staying at the BC, so no real commute time involved). Showed up at the podium and asked if my original ADR with kids price would be honored and in a quick answer I was told NO, I would have to pay the new price, so we left. I went to the front desk and the CM checked with Chef Mickey's and again was told no. So the only ADR buffet I kept was Trail's End and again it was not honored and had to pay adult price even though I booked before the change, but since this was reasonable even at adult prices I kept it. No more chances for me -- I can honestly say, you better plan to have a backup, or be ready to give up extra credits, or pay OOP for one of you.

And yes, a DVC member and they have my money too.

As mentioned "subject to change clause is included"
