I just posted on the CL thread, but we just returned from a stay at BC CL lagoon view and it was fantastic! We were in room 5663 overlooking the courtyard and lake. Our room was the middle room if you are looking up to the fifth floor from the courtyard outside. It was close to the lounge, but yet not right outside the lounge where we'd hear lots of noise/people. Standout CM's for us were Neil and I believe her name is Vilma. And thankfully I had time to say a quick hello to Teena and tell her I recognized her name from the DIS! She is a great woman, always smiling and very friendly. Teena - I was the one with twin girls celebrating their 8th bday. The BC is our favorite resort and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Glad to hear you had the same opinion of Neil and Vilma! I am also going to submit a letter complimenting those two CM's for their outstanding care and service.
 
I am so happy everyone is safe from the tornados and wild weasther. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone there.

I can't believe I miss 2 days and I have to spend about an hour reading everything...we are on fire!

35 years! WOW! Congrats. DH & I are celebrating 9 years the 2nd day we are at YC.

I have a question on IPO's. Am I suppose to call them and make request or do I call Disney directly. I had sent an email about Fantasmic dinner but they said it wasn't available. They don't even have dates on Disney website for September when I tried to do it myself...So is it sold out or just not booking yet??? Really confusing...

We have never stayed CL and we are only staying CL because of everything going on. Should I call and talk to them directly about questions I have? Should I email them? I usually write a cute little poem for the room assigner should I still send it to the resort or should I send it to the IPO's email?

I've also read that they are suppose to greet you in the lobby when getting off DME...What if they are not there? I have read of that happening. Do I go to the front desk and tell them someone needs to come down?

If you haven't heard from the CL CMs, you should probably contact them. Try the e-mail on the first page of this thread (I think it is correct now, but if not let me know) or give them a call.

Let them know what you are looking to reserve.

We were greeted by name when we got off the bus the first time we stayed CL- like your situation, it was a complete surprise to my husband and kids. They had no idea what was going on when the CM told us to follow her upstairs so we could check in. I think we were on the elevator when my husband asked "What is going on?" It was a fantastic moment!

If you are not met outside or in the lobby, then you can certainly let the lobby greeter know (hopefully it will be Teena when you arrive) and they will make sure someone comes along to help you.

I am one of those hands on do it yourself type of persons but I know from the October thread people are reporting having to call the dining line and getting their ADR for the Fantasmic Pkg for Oct dates so September should definately be on sale and might be sold out, I would try calling the dining # and find out myself
 
I just changed my resort from YC to..........THE BEACH CLUB with a water view :cool1::cool1: I am sooo excited 4 days at AKL....then BC from Aug 14-22:banana::banana:
 
POR is our fave MOD...have yet to stay at CSR tho. Doesn't really interest me. I am so glad you love YC & POR. I can't wait for my stay at YC CL!!

Same here.

POR, by FAR our favorite Mod. We actually liked it more than WL when we stayed at WL a year of so ago. IMHO they have the best food court on propery by a long shot.

And it's great that they are doing a refurb, the decor was starting to look dated.

That has the be the one thing I miss staying at the YC -- no food court. Oh well, guess I'll have to suffer. :upsidedow

Hey Ms. Teena,

I have some friends who are down this week and staying at the Boardwalk. They usually pop over to Cape May once or twice a trip so I asked them to say hello if they happen to see you in the lobby.

I told them you were easy to spot. Just look for a young Sophia Loren with a permanent smile on her face ;)

Oh well no doubts there!! I met her for the first time on our last trip down ( 2010 ) as I had always only met Art at the time, and she was FAN-TAS-TIC. But as much as she likes to talk BC, I wouldn't want to bother her and have her list all the little known facts she knows lol :) ...

One little known fact before I stop posting for a while because I'm off for my mini vacation with the family at WDW (shopping, parks, Typhoon Lagoon and two days (one night) at the BC) ... you know the set of four elevators at the BC? Only three of them are elevators. The other one is fake. Go around to the other side of it and guess what's there? A telephone room. (I worked there over a year before I realized this.)
 
Hi everyone-

Unfortunately, our specially designed Y&B DISer pin program has been suspended. Someone who picked up their pin forgot that they needed to say "a friend" left the pin- so we are unable to continue distributing the pins that way.

Apologies to anyone who has an upcoming stay and has requested a pin- they just can't be left at the resort.

If anyone can think of another way to distribute them, let me know- the pins did not cost anything to make, but there would be a postage charge to send them out, and I am not sure if there is anyone who is able to commit the time necessary, and is willing to disclose an address, to take on this project.

You can PM me if you have ideas, or e-mail me through my screen name (this will disclose your e-mail address to me, however).

Teena What a great cool fact about the elevators at the beach club. I never realized that either..Can not wait to check it out :thumbsup2
 
How is the soundproofing between connecting villas at BCV? We are currently booked at BWV but are hoping our wait list will come through for a 1BR at BCV in November. I think I've read that some are dedicated 1 Bedrooms & others are lock-offs with connecting studios. Can you hear the people next door? This will be our first deluxe villa stay & I can't wait!! :cool1:



Just bumping this up... Anyone have any experience with lock-offs? :confused3

Thanks! That is so cool you did the same thing. You must had a smile on your face the whole time. Did you finally tell him? How'd you let him know? I wonder if they would keep it a surprise if I called and told them?

I will call tomorrow morning and see if the IPO can get me something even though I sent an email. I just got an email from them with a form to fill out. So, I will go check that out but I wanted to come here first cause if I miss one day or even a half I end up reading 5 pages the next and then I have so much to comment on I forget because I don't want to quote all of them:rotfl::lmao:

I wonder if we could do the payment thing through paypal. You can Pay a Friend and that could cover postage and the sender would only need an email but the ones who wanted the pin would need to provide some address (doesn't have to be home). :confused3 I know I send some stuff to work just because it is easier. It could also include a slight fee for the person sending them to cover their time. And maybe they can just be sent out like once a month? Just trying to think since it was such an awesome thing.:surfweb:
