Sorry, I don't know how much longer the work outside will be going on. However, it only happens between 9 AM and 5 PM.

I love the doctors at Mayo here in Jacksonville. The whole place is amazing. I'm doing good today but am anxious to get the pathology results to see if the margins are clear or not (and whether they need to go back to take out more). Should get the call today or tomorrow.

Just stayed at the YC last week...loved the beds! I picked up the brochure in the room 'Disney Resort Collection' that showcases the beds, bedding etc...but there are 3 categories of beds? All Sealy ' Celestial Plush/Encore Plush/Encore Pillowtop. Anyone have any idea what one they have in the rooms?

I should have looked.

When we stayed at YC I was the same way about the beds. Loved them! When I looked into it I was told Encore Plush.

First, Teena...I'm pleased to see you here, which I hope means that you are feeling better. I hope the results will be good (clean margins etc).

We're getting excited around here - we check in on Friday afternoon!!! Right now I have so much going on I still cannot quite picture stepping into the BC, but it's coming so soon!

It has beem a l-o-n-g winter. Today was somewhat sunny and just above freezing and we're all talking about how great the weather is. I simply cannot wait to put on some shorts and a tshirt (which I do when it's much cooler than already is in Florida!). WHITE LEGS ALERT!

Teena, I'm glad you are home recuperating, but we'll be sorry to not have the chance to meet you. Your warm welcome permeates these boards, so we'll just pretend that you were there to greet us upon arriva

Teena, Robyn, Doccoc......keeping you all in my prayers. This old life can get kinda rough sometimes but we keep going!

On a lighter note we booked us a short getaway for the end of April for me and the DW. We got a good AP deal on AK CL so thought we would take a quick trip for Flower and Garden/Anniversary. Right now we have four upcoming trips on the books. That's a first.

I just wanted to also comment on how GREAT the YC/BC itinerary planning is!! I have been working with Terri who was able to secure me an ADR at the Tusker House character breakfast for my daughter's b-day when online told me NO reservations were available for our entire trip!! I even contacted them about setting up something for our arrival for her, and they informed me they already had plans! It will be both mine and my daughters b-day during the trips, so they said they'll do a signed card or poster, balloons and candy. She's going to be SO excited!!

Does anyone know if I could send something as a thank you to the planners? I was thinking maybe a box of chocolates or something of the sorts for all their help so far.

You can bring something with you and ask the front desk to call them out so you can give it to them personally if you would like to meet them face to face. Their office is close by. Or you can send it ahead for sure. Chocolates are tough to send with the Florida heat. Although Disney non-tipped cast members (everybody except valet, bell services, wait staff at restaurants and housekeepers) cannot accept tips, they are allowed to accept gifts and/or gift cards ... any type, VISA, gas, Disney, restaurant, etc. Sometimes that's an easy gift that won't melt and you know they will definitely use it!!!

I believe that non-tipped employees are permitted to receive gifts from guests as a thank you. There are two restrictions that I know about. The gift may not be cash (although strangely enough, gift certificates are ok) and the value should not exceed $75. So a box of chocolates would be a very thoughtful and appropriate gift.

I put together some little gift bags with candy and Starbucks gift certificates for the Concierge level CMs who helped us throughout the week. I also brought along a couple of small New England cookbooklets and gave one to Vilma, who was particularly friendly to us.
