2011-2012 DVC Planner

Came today - shoved in our mail box. Pretty nice though being that its 2011 and all (I think we got last years in September!)

Yeah, I noticed they were pretty late on this year's. Oh well, better late than never!

I was happy they came so early this year but a little disappointed at how small it was. I guess I really only need the point charts but I was kind of hoping to see a few Aulani pictures. I also thought the member vacation pictures were nice touch in previous years.

It's not even a 1/4" thick. Not exactly the type of thing you lend to a friend who might be interested DVC.

We're also still waiting, but it really doesn't matter to us. All our 2011 trips are reserved, so we only need 2012. And we usually get our point values on the members' website.

Why did the 2011-2012 planner exclude 2012 dcl point charts?

We think it's a total waste of money, as the exact same info can be accessed on Member website.

There aren't even photos or layouts of the resorts. Waste of money, IMHO.

There is not a separate sheet because the combined them within the book. Under each resort there is a 2011 and 2012 column.

I totally agree. The thing I used it for most was showing the pictures to my friends. This new planner is worthless to me. I wish you could opt out on planners and packets at check in (we went 4 times this year), and advertisements in the room. Just like you can opt out on paper bills.

I know Disney is big on advertising but the cost of all this paper has to be passed along to the guests/owners.

I wish there was a way to find out the cost of those packets and allow people to opt-out.

I guess the best thing was that the points aren't changing between this year and next. Formerly, the new planners did include both current and next year, until the 2-3 years ago when they began tweaking the points.

I like the book, it's less cumbersome than some earlier ones.
