Groing up, there were 4 words that, if uttered, would make lose all faith in humanity. If I was dreaming and I heard these word, I would spring right up in a cold sweat gasping for breath. These 4 words are:
Bourque Traded To Canadiens
Brrrrrrr... Even today, with it being a different man and the original having been retired for a decade and a half, still just doesn't look right. But I'll come back to that later.
Let's crawl inside a young man's head for a minute. You are Jordan Caron. You were just called up to the parent club to Replace Zach Hamill who was replacing Brad Marchand. The puck was dropped less than a minute and a half ago. Carey Price goes behind the net to play the puck that wasn't even there. Instead, it's on your stick and for the next .7 seconds the net is COMPLETELY open. What's going through your mind? My guess...
"OH God... Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. Don't blow it. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!"
But that's just my guess.
Lucky for the Habs, that the B's, instead of trying to get the puck in the net, spent the next 40 min trying to see who hit the toilet seat on Price's chest. Either that or by taking "intentionally wide" shots. Come on Jack. Not every shot that is 5-12' wide of the net is intentional.
So On comes the 3rd period. And Krejci extends his point streak to 10 games. But the reason that people are talking about him is what happened with about 8 min left in the game. Subban comes across ice and hits Krejci in the head with his elbow. Did it look malicious? No. Did it look intentional? Maybe, maybe not. That didn't matter to Andrew Ferrence. He comes over and immediately throws Subban into the boards and then the ice. With this, Subban jumps right up and starts going toe to toe with the Bruins blue liner. Nah. I'm sure this would've been the scene on "Opposite Day". But Subban does his best Marsha Brady "Ooh my nose!" impersonation and lets Ferrence drag him around the ice for a while.

Someone please start a campaign to get Subban traded to another team. He has way to much talent to the Hab version of Sean Avery. On any other team in the league (sans Vancouver), he would be a prime scoring threat (50-60 pts and at least +10) and a respected leader. Up there, he's taken on the flopping ways.
Either way, his ploy worked. The Habs scored on the ensuing power play. A slap shot from Weber that Thomas should've had easily. The next 7 minutes was pins and needles. In the end the B's held on to the 2-1 win and are within 1 pt of conference leading NYR.
Now, back to the Cammalleri/Bourque trade. I didn't notice that Cammalleri wasn't on the ice until Jack and Brick started speculating on his supposed injury. Then the end of the game came, and the story broke. I immediately turned to the NHL network to see what's up. By the way, Kevin Weekes is hypnotitic on NHL on the Fly. Anyhoo... Canadiens and GM Pierre Gauthier was back peddaling the questions like he was on an eliptical. But my big question would be this...
"Was Cammelleri traded because he called out the team for being losers? Or, was Cammelleri traded because he called out the team for being losers, in english?"
