HEY PINKGIRL!!!

(sorry to yell but wanted to get your attention)

Don't forget about this coupon.

Not sure if it works for your dates or not, but they probably update it on a rolling basis.

Enjoy!

Hey- I didn't know about that coupon! I'm not sure if there are any rules about me putting the link for this up on the first page near the spa info, but you never know until you try!

We will be staying at the Beach Club from Aug. 3 through Aug 11. This is our first stay at Beach Club. We are very :woohoo:excited. Can anyone tell me what time the International Gateway opens in the mornings. We have several tours, early breakfast booked and would be great to be able to walk to the front of Epcot to get to the meeting locations. Or what other transportation options are there to get to the front gates of Epcot?

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Page 1 Be Our Guest List.

Great question about what time the IG opens. It opens for guests entering EPCOT around the time the park opens. I believe that it would be open for guests trying to get to the breakfast in Norway whenever the first seating is there. You would have to give your name/reservation number if it is before park opening.

As far as tours that leave from the front of the park- I'm not sure if you can get through the IG early enough for a pre-park-opening tour... The only alternate transportation to the front of the park is taxi.

There have been reports from guests who were given taxi vouchers, or credit from the resort, if they had to use taxi transport to the front of EPCOT gates when there was no other option. I don't believe this is an official policy of the resort, but it probably doesn't hurt to ask.

Could someone who is staying at the BC/YC soon ask the CMs at the IG about what time the IG opens to guests who have an early breakfast or tour, and then report back. Gracias!!!

Any word on BC resort-specific merchandise yet? I have seen other resorts have gotten some, just wondering if the BC has any, yet. Thanks!

No word yet. YC has received resort specific merchandise and clothing, and we have been told that the product for the BC is "on the way", but we don't have an ETA.

Rooting for Payton's little brother here in Cincinnati. Guess there never has been any love here for that coach of the "other" team being a Brown's fan all my life. Sorry Dee.

No problem. We all have to do what we have to do.

It's time for me to holster the mouse and head into the family room for pre-game preparations.

:cheer2: Go Pats!!! :cheer2:

Checked with a manager at Cape May today. I was told Cape May Cafe is down for rehab July 9th through August 9th. I asked if there was going to be a character breakfast or anything at Ariels and was told NO.

Thank you Natebenma (Dee) This is an amazing collaboration of information. Ya'll do such a great job and seem like a happy "family":grouphug:. Yes I will admit I have been stalking ya'll for quite awhile. :confused3 I have been doing a lot of research for this trip. It will be just me an DH for our 30th anniversary. When we return I hope to be able to contribute a few little tid bits we will learn. Including how to survive 25 meals in 9 days:scared1:. TeenaS may need to roll us to the car.

Congratulations to all the Giants fans. Wow, what a game!
My family will be in mourning for awhile......

The good news... we had Patriots 0, Giants 9 in the office Superbowl pool, so we won money in the first quarter and the half.

The bad news...never mind!

Congrats to my Giants fan friends!

Hi Momofthreemen,

I can tell you from my own experience with this November 2011. We could not enter through the International Gateway early enough to get to the front of the park for the tours we had planned and we had a lot planned. One of our tours overlapped with another one and there were a few that overlapped with DD's golf lessons. The reason they offer the use of taxis is because there is not bus service to EPCOT and some of the tours begin as early as 7ish. When I spoke to Tour Planning Office (not YC IPO) they are the ones who told me to take a cab and i would be issued credit for taxi's to the front of EPCOT and to the Golf Course also from AK to the Golf Course. If I were you I would call the Tour Planning Office and check with them for the correct answer so you know when you get there and aren't told wrong information. I was issued credit on my room for the cost of taxis. The valet can help with getting the taxi for you, but i would not ask them about a voucher/credit until checking with the Tour Planning Office.

Hope this helps and have fun! What tours do you have planned?? DD and I have done pretty much all of them and they are all so much fun and full of interesting information.

~Nannette

Hi Nannette,
Thank you so much for the information. I will certainly check with Tour planning office. We are doing the Backstage Magic Tour, Dolphins in Depth, Backstage safari, Around the world Segway tour, Behind the seeds tour, Richard Petty, and a Fishing excursion.
We only have one scheduled per day because I was concerned about the overlapping problem. Have you done the Backstage Magic and the Key to the kingdom tour? I am curious if we should do both or just the one?? we could work in the Key to the kingdom if the Magic kingdom is more in-depth. Which tours did you find the most interesting? We love Disney and want to get the most out of our Platinum Plan as this is a once in a lifetime trip.

We are booked for BCV for May 19-26 and will be celebrating dd 3rd Birthday! We have stayed here but it was several years ago, but in reading some of this thread (not thru it all yet!), it's like I have never stayed here! What great information and lots of stuff I didn't know!!!

Does anyone have an info on Periwigs? I am wanting to get my nails done before our wedding and possibly have a massage. Just wondering how much they charge and how good they are?

I have not had a full manicure at Periwigs, but twice now I have needed emergency repairs while staying at The Beach Club and they were kind enough to help out. I think her name was Maria, not certain, but she was so sweet.

DH & DS have both had haircuts there as well and were happy with them.

It is so convenient right there by the pool ... love that.

Could I also be added to the Noodle Exchange? Again my dates are May 19-26.

Thanks!

My husband and I are traveling from June 2-9, Beach Club, Garden View. Please add us to the first page.
Thank you.

I have added you both to the Be Our Guest list.

CindyBeth- the noodles are already reserved for your dates. I have put you on the "wait list" and as your trip gets closer, we can see if the situation has changed.

Excellent tours!! DD and i were on the Platinum Plan for 7 days in November! We had a blast! I've done both the Backstage and the Keys. If you have the room and you have the time do the Keys as well as the Backstage. Backstage is great very very in depth. The keys is in depth but more about just the Magic Kingdom. I also did the Walt to Marceline Tour which was very interesting to me as well as Undiscovered Future World. I have found that all the tours kind of go together. We were supposed to do Dolphins in Depth and Sea Aqua Tour but they were having a lot issues with the tank for a while and were canceling all those tours. We learned while we were on the Undiscovered Future World Tour that there were BIG problems and they had lost over 500 of the fish due to a fungus... You might want to just ask if they have actually started that tour up again or if they are only booking it because they were booking it and then canceling it about 3 weeks out. Also do the fireworks cruise if you have a chance... we loved that we did the Magic Kingdom one it was actually one of the coolest things I've done at Disney! Make time to do water sports the Jetski tour is really cool they take you out and you learn about the 7 seas lagoon.

Enjoy it that plan is a lot of fun!!! Feel free to ask me if you have any questions and I'll try to help you out!

Dear Universe,

Please excuse Dee for being pissy today.

She had to drop her DH off at the train station at 6 am (before her first cup of coffee was finished) because his car is being serviced.

This is a picture of DH's office building this morning:

Roof fire- nobody hurt- building is open

And my son wore his Eli Manning shirt to school today. :sad2: (Traitor!)

Looking forward to a better day tomorrow.
