I don't think I said it was the only resort that showed movies and had a campfire on the beach. If I'm not mistaken BWI doesn't have a beach area right? I just said my kids loved going down to the BC/YC beach area for the campfire and movie night. They had a lot of fun roasting marshmallows and making smores at the campfire. Really, everything doesn't have to be a competition!

:rotfl: I love that you said that, Robyn! (another Robin here, btw). I've got to tell you that I'm absolutely tickled that y'all have it in for him (which, as I mentioned in a post last week that I didn't even know "he" was a "he" until like 2 weeks ago). If that pool thread would've been started a year ago, he would've responded, "Actually, my family and I (<---- grrrrr, always says that -- so annoying) find the CR pool to be far superior to any other resort pool on WDW property - although we've never stayed anywhere else to compare." He (who will always be a 'she' to me :lmao:) always treats his opinions like fact -- drives me nutty.

Good grief! phonebook boy revisited all over again! ITs like a broken record- over and over, and over, and over.

I love the IGNORE button, makes life less stressful. :hippie:

PS.......and my best friend's name is Robyn, too! YEAH!!!!

You will love the easy access to EPCOT!!! It is literally 5-7 minutes to the World Showcase.

Which kind of leads to your last question...

There is a section on Page 1 dealing with Dining at BC and YC, both Table Service and very helpful Counter Service info from pixarmom. As far as TS at the resorts, there is Cape May (character breakfast in the morning, clambake/buffet at night) at BC, Captains Grille (non-character a la carte OR buffet breakfast, lunch-menu and dinner-menu) at YC and a Signature restaurant, Yachtsman, at YC.

Additionally, the restaurants at the Boardwalk and World Showcase are nearby.

Standard View- not sure where they are all located, but there is a good chance you will be overlooking the parking lot/main entrance of the Beach Club. One of my two stays at the BC was in a standard view room (CL), and I have some info and pictures of the view a few pages back. Let me get the link for you: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=43681105&postcount=1256

Here are a few pictures of the view from this standard view room:

This is a view of the front of the resort. I am guessing that pretty much any of the rooms here are Standard View:

.

Thanks so much! we've been to WDW many times, but have never really spent a lot of time in the Epcot resort area.

Looks like the BC Hater is after me on the BC/BWI pool thread.

Imagine my nerve in mentioning the beach/campfire/movie at BC!!!!

With all this talk of the dueling pools I had to go check out the thread and I have to say that the BWI's "Creepy Clown Pool" doesn't and can not compare to SAB. All I have to say on that thread is please people, no comparison at all.:lmao::rotfl: You tell them DisneyMomx7.

By the way, another person from NJ here. Ocean County.:flower3:

Wow!! I haven't been on here in two weeks and I had a lot of catching up to do!!!

MM and others---thanks for my bi weekly dose of laughter!! :lmao: I'm at my part-time job today, so I try to keep the outbursts under control!

Robyn--congrats on your 10,000th post!! Loved your reply to the "BC Hater" on the pool thread!

Teena--loved the Lily pic. Hope you and Bob had a wonderful trip to see your little princess!!

MickeyT--I stayed in the BC room that was directly behind the big tree in your view from BCV pic! Loved your pics!!

Speaking of phone books, you know, I totally forgot to check for a phone book when I stayed at OKW in December. Guess I was too busy having fun without the kids in tow! :rolleyes1

I've seen that the info about the Test Track refurb is out now, so I'm probably going to be changing our dates. TT is one of DD8's favorite rides and I can't imagine coming when it is closed. I've got to take some time and sit down and look at October or the very end of September (and hope the refurb isn't delayed). DH doesn't want to come if there's any chance of cool weather, because he loves sitting by SAB while consuming his favorite adult beverages! We took full advantage of the wait service last year and ate lunch at Hurricane Hannah's several times! SAB is huge, but our kids really enjoyed "section" hopping.....spend some time going down the big slide, then head over to the lazy river, then join in the activities, then finish over in the sand play area (though I was sad that the lifeguards wouldn't let me sit in the sandy area and sip on my Sunken Treasure ;) ).

My DH really loves TT and was sad to hear it would be closing, though we're certainly interested in knowing what the new ride will look like. October should continue to be plenty warm for you (barring any crazy weather patterns) giving you plenty of SAB time!

We have decided to ride TT as many times as possible this February and hope that it's reopened in October when we return!:thumbsup2 I pray it is, otherwise he'll probably make me ride Mission Space again.

Oh yeah, I was going to post in the Great Pool Debate thread that I don't have an irrational (or rational) fear of clowns, but that thing just looks a little creepy to me.

PS.......and my best friend's name is Robyn, too! YEAH!!!!

Maybe this is the thread of New Jersey connections (my friend lives in Brick) and Robyn/Robin connections.

No kidding. It's not like that's just your average clown . . . that's a very creepy clown. :scared1:

Yes, it is!
I go to Disney to "live the dream" with my kids..."A dream is a wish your heart makes"... not a nightmare of shooting out of a creepy clown mouth. It is a little too much like the clown from Stephen King'sIt for my taste. :scared1::lmao:

Just read the thread where the guy tried to get his three year old to sleep by lying down with her on the floor of the Cali Grill. I can't imagine, but sometimes in desperation I've done some pretty stupid things to get my kids to go to sleep or behave!!!!

My DH has no idea why I love posting on boards and obsessively planning, but he's more than happy to take the $1880 discount I got on our upcoming trip!!! LOL. Same with the cousins that are going with us and staying in BCV. They don't seem to mind me including them on our fabulous ADRs!!!

I have to pop over to the Poly thread. That resort was a close second in our deliberations about where to stay.

I can understand why a child might not be happy about an upgrade - especially when they helped select the resort. As one of the POR royal room not ready upgrader, our granddaughter was a little upset that they weren't going to stay in a "Princess" room - at least until my daughter showed her the pool at YC/BC. Now she is happy about the change. I think Disney did a great job - they gave very generous upgrades.

That should be plenty of clues. Look for the above ground pool.

~MM
LOL don't worry, I'm not stalking you. Does it make you nervous that I know Poly Dude's itinerary & what luggage he has?

You all have provided so much entertainment over the past few days.... I might have to go read the Poly thread now just to see what "Leisure Suit Larry" is up to.

Oh!oh!oh! I gotta go read that thread now! :hyper:

OH.MY.GOD! THAT LEISURE SUIT!!!!!!

I have to tell you ladies, first thing that came to my mind was the movie with Burt Reynolds and Markie Mark Walberg, uh, was it "Boogie Nights?"

There's no drama on the current new Poly thread (created 2 days ago) - nothing other than Poly Dude still running his mouth on everything like he's now Mr. Poly Info...it's the previous Poly thread that got nasty...moved over to the POR Royal Refurb thread for awhile too (most of those posts have been removed or edited though)

:rotfl: I love that you said that, Robyn! (another Robin here, btw). Honestly when someone on here posted the other day that they thought 'BC Hater' was a socially awkward girl I spit my drink out. I knew it was a guy, but I always thought he wasn't all there as well! The posts just don't all seem quite right sometimes...like there's a few screws loose somewhere...

Somehow the phone book has to come up on that thread! popcorn::

Swear to God I'm throwing the phone book in SAB on my next trip & taking a picture & posting it on there. THAT might make him shut up! No, wait, then he'll either post that HE has a pic of a phone book in Luna Park Pool, because it's only FAIR that he gets to post that too, or he'll say "that's not a pic of SAB" like he did about Jade's gorgeous pic of the BC Beach.

Oh yeah, I was going to post in the Great Pool Debate thread that I don't have an irrational (or rational) fear of clowns, but that thing just looks a little creepy to me.

So we have the Great Pool Deabte of 2012 as well as the Poly/POR Royal Room Debacle of 2012! Glad to say I'm part of both! :woohoo:

Hmmm, picture of SAB with a phone book in it - sounds like a job for either BeachClubDee, Pixarmom or Marlton Mom.

Unfortunately I'm still using disposable cameras and I'm pretty computer illiterate or I'd volunteer to take it myself. I guess it's just and me and Teena living in the dark ages on posting pictures.

Welcome! Awesome upgrade!! I hope your granddaughter enjoys SAB! I'm sure the room won't come close to a "princess room" but the pool is so much better than POR (said without trying to start a POR SAB pool competition). :rotfl:

Maybe this is the thread of New Jersey connections (my friend lives in Brick)

I think someone in the family lives in Brick. I just can't remember who it is.

... not a nightmare of shooting out of a creepy clown mouth.

I'm going to have nightmares about a clown projectile vomiting me across a pool. :scared1:

Does it make you nervous that I know Poly Dude's itinerary & what luggage he has?

Oh man, now I'm going to have to go find luggage to match the blue leisure suit.

Welcome CruisingKat.

We really do love everybody.... but on the rare occasion, a village idiot starts harping incessantly about non issues and raises the ire of sensible people. Add to that a propensity for said idiot to pose as other people and post on various boards in an effort to bolster his meaningless whining and you've got a whole group of people here that are just not going to take it when he and his cronies (both real and imagined) tries to demean Cast Members or disparage the reputation of hard working hotel employees!

Lately there's been a lot of insanity on various threads with assorted Village Idiots coming out of the woodwork and rearing their ugly heads.

We want you to know that you, and anybody else for that matter, are welcome here. We love it when people have questions about the Beach Club/Yacht Club and Beach Club Villas. A lot of us have stayed there and we have the experience to helpfully answer your questions. We can also relay our experiences with various situations that are commonly encountered by a wide variety of guests.

So feel free to join in. Reading page 1 is essential as a lot of your answers will be found there AND you will find out tons of helpful information that you didn't even know you needed yet!

We are so glad to have you! You are really in for a treat when you discover all the great things about the resort! :thumbsup2

WELCOME!! :cheer2:

~Marlton Mom..... and all the rest of us I'm sure!!

Aspergers.

I'm not a doctor but I watch House and therefore am an expert in all things diagnostic.

Post as other people, MM? Well, that explains a lot!!!

Sane people would never do that. ::::coughPaulNoodlecough::::
