Oh my- We are already on Page 11 and we haven't had a new picture of Teena's grandaughter yet!

Lily has found her feet!

So cute! Thanks for sharing.

I can't wait to see Lily!!
Can't wait to see you ... won't be long now!

P.S. Our good friend, Fred, named my car the Pumpkin-mobile.

I am wishing you a magical time with Lily!! Love the car. Somehow I missed it earlier. Actually somehow I missed about 15 posts. I had to go back and read them all. It looks like a fun drive!

I'm not 'fresh', I'm just clumsy... my apologies if you please... It's just that I was a little alarmed when, when, well I'll come right out and say it! Do you think you could shave your legs? I know it gets cold in Canada and all that extra fur helps, but good God woman! You're in Florida for Pete's sake!!
Thanks.
Paul Noodle

MM, I just spit out my coffee!! You crack me up.

I also want to add congrats on all of the discount deals to those that were able to save! They are right in line with the convention rate that we were able to book. The bummer with a convention rate is that then we cannot get the DDP. So we will eat mostly CS. We would switch but then we would be unsure how the shuttle to the convention would work for Chuck and also our tickets for the parks would be messed up ( we get DQ included and a very slight discount). So it is easier to just stick with what we have.

I am curious to see what my ticker says today! We are getting close!!

Hey Mike! Thanks again for keeping the lists on page 4 and trying to clean them up. Still trying to catch up over here!

Can you add these guests to your lists when you get a chance, then I will copy off to page 1. :)

We are staying at YC Club Level in Feb. Should we make any special room requests? Or are all club level rooms in a similar location?

Thanks!

KAA1972- What are your dates?

Thanks for continuing the thread Dee.
Although we are back less than a month, we have booked our October 2012 BCV Food & Wine Fest visit. Please add us to the list, arriving October 6th and leaving October 13th. Already counting many, many days
Thanks

Woo-hoo!!!

Yep, so excited. Spoke to my AAA agent yesterday and saved over $500 for our trip in mid May to BCR. Really doing the happy dance now.

Beach Club Resort? What are your dates?

We are now booked for May 10th - 15th! Can't wait to take DD for her 5th Bday! Mentioned all of our special occasions while booking so hoping for some major pixie dust while we are there...:cheer2:

[Hi! :wave2:
We're staying at a BC CL deluxe room in May and interested in the noodle swap for our family, be there May 11-19.
Noticed that those dates were opened.
Could we speak for those dates, please? :worship:

~Lulu'sMom

Thanks!!!

I'm so excited to say I just booked a short girls trip, a split stay between BCV & Poly! While chatting with the reservations agent today, she repeatedly tried to steer me away from BCV studio and towards a standard resort room. I know the major difference is the bedding arrangement - we will have 1 queen bed and a sleeper sofa - I told the agent I'm fully aware & have no issues with sleeping on the sleeper sofa. The price was identical, and after watching the great you tube videos posted on here a few days ago, my friend & I both chose the studio over the resort room.

Is there something else I should know - or be concerned with in staying in a studio over a resort room?

I have to agree with the reservations agent. In my personal opinion, I'd take the room in the BC over a BCV any day. I just like the rooms so much better. And two queens is so much more comfortable than a sleeper sofa and one queen!! However, if it was between a one bedroom villa at the BCV versus a regular room at the BC, the one bedroom villa would win.

SO excited!!!!

We got a 30% PIN code, good for our dates in August!!!

I had been thinking of switching to the teacher rate at the Dolphin, though we REALLY wanted the Beach Club. With the PIN, we're getting pretty much the same price as the teacher's rate for a Deluxe Alcove at the Dolphin. I've been walking on air all day long :)

Is location a factor in the reason you like the rooms in the resort better than the BCV? The CM today did say "you don't want to be so far away from everything."

Personally we both like the decor of the BCV much better than the resort, but of course that's personal preference. I'm only 4'11" so the sleeper sofa's a non-issue for me, I've slept on the pull-out chair at Kidani a few times & had no issues.

Hey I guess this is all the reason to book AGAIN at BC - at the resort! Then I'll know for sure which one I prefer :thumbsup2.

jaceraden, you'll have to excuse Paul - I'm not sure he's the same after our boys used him and the noodle family as swords in August! Keep enjoying your stay!! :)

MM, I'm still laughing - love Paul's response!

Teena, happy driving! And give Lily a big hug for our family when you see her!

BC/YC fans, I'm hoping a few of you will share some opinions on my "hop or not" dilemma for next spring. As some of you know, we're a park-hopping rope drop family. Some may call us "commando!"

This "hop or not" issue is related to our one day/night at WDW on the way from the beach to the airport. It's not our entire family - just our very energetic youngest son (age 4) and me. I let him choose one park for the day, and he chose Epcot. (Seriously, I did not pressure or influence him in any way, but I will have my refill mug ready for just one grey goose slushie!) I don't mind the extra cost, it's more about just having a fun day.

So here are the reasons to hop:
1) No parades at Epcot. And he loves parades, especially Move It, Shake It!
2) It's our only stop at WDW in 2012, which is unusual for us in recent years.
3) He loves Disney Junior and Muppets (TSM is probably out, given the timing) at DHS, and Buzz and Philharmagic at MK.
4) Not sure if we'll have enough to do at Epcot all day without the rest of our family!

Reasons to not hop:
1) It's peak season, right after Easter. It's an F! day at DHS, and both morning and evening EMH at MK - crowded!! I would never recommend those parks on that day.
2) Since we're a rope drop family and take strategy very seriously, I'm not sure we'll enjoy MK or DHS without that first hour of walk-ons and FP collecting.
3) We'll all be back 10 months later anyway and we'll hop lots then.
4) We're doing DxDP, and we have ADRs at Epcot that we're both very excited about, so we'd have to fit hopping around meals.
5) Not hopping gives me time to take BC/YC photos.

I'd love to hear opinions as I/we make a decision!

Now I've never been there yet, so my opinion means nada. However, we were choosing between concierge level and a 1 bedroom villa and chose the CL for precisely that reason: we wanted to be close to the lobby and the hustle and bustle. And because we have DD3 and DD5, I can't stand the thought of finally getting back to the resort, and having to walk down hallway after hallway, etc. Also, if we go to SAB, and it's cold (we're talking January), it's a much shorter walk to the room if it's near the lobby in BC vc BCV!

Congrats to everyone getting the new discount! :thumbsup2

pixarmom, just enjoying Epcot sounds perfect to me. More relaxing and a wonderful chance to build special memories with your youngest.

Tara, since you prefer the decor of the studios and are fine sleeping on the pullout, I would choose the studio. If you look on the first page of the FAQ, Dee has a map of the entire resort. You can see how some studios are closer to the "action" than some BC rooms. However, the villas are an oasis of peace which we adore. Also studios all have either a real balcony or patio while some (about 1/2?) of the regular rooms do not. Studios also have a 12 cup coffeemaker rather than the teensy four cup thing which doesn't cut for this tea drinker. Finally, the fridges have an actual freezer section for Mickey bars or bottled water. Oh, and if you will have a car, parking is much more convenient for the villas IMO. I'd probably pick a hotel room for the two queens but since that doesn't matter to you....

Teena, congrats on the car. Love the latest pic of Lily.:cutie:

Wow Dee!! Another thread already. Welcoming Winter- I can't wait for summer again!
You did a great job as always!

Deb:)

Teena- congrats on your new car- very cute! and Lily is adorable!!!

:banana::banana::yay::yay::cool1::cool1::dance3::woohoo::woohoo: :woohoo: single digit dance!!!!!

A couple of questions....is there still free wifi? Is there a full size hair dryer in the room or is it still the hotel one? And finally anyone have the December schedule yet?

I guess thats more than a couple:-) TIA
Jen

Thanks for the input everyone!

Tinkerbell's Mama- I was just at Kidani 2 weeks ago & they did still have free wifi at that time.

Location is fine and I like the quiet pool at the BCV better than the one at the BC. It's the room. I don't like the bed plus sleeper sofa combination and the decor I like much better at the BC. When we go to Vero Beach, I always get a "hotel room" versus the "studio". I just don't like the studios.

OK, that would be tough for me between a one bedroom villa and club level. If it were just me and hubby, club level definitely. And if I had kids (older) that would really take advantage of the breakfast, snacks, drinks, desserts, etc., then definitely club level. But with a 3 and 5 year old, I think I'd go with the full kitchen with washer and dryer. Again, only my personal opinion. I absolutely love club level at the BC and think it is so worth it. I never did WDW with little ones. We didn't take Jeanne until she was 5 or 6 but I would think with two little ones a washer/dryer and all that room would be really nice in a one bedroom villa. Hopefully some guests on this thread with young ones that have stayed club level and in a one bedroom villa can give you their opinion.

Sorry to butt in but......

i am here now with a 3 and 4.5 year old and i would not trade club level for the washer/dryer. I traipsed down to do laundry after the kids went to bed a few days ago. iit was a nice Mommy break - I used the hot tub and went to illuminations. it was not that big of a deal. club level on the other hand is Heavenly. Though I am surprised by the sense of entitlement that some guests appear to have. We just try to ignore them and appreciate the convenience!

Hey Gang,
Wheels kinda fell off our "Family Christmas Trip" you see in my ticker. DS changed jobs so he and fiancee can't make it . DD is a teacher and has school the week of the Dec 19th and principal clamped down and no vacation days allowed that week so that took her out.

DW and I are still going on the 14th for two nights in a studio. DGS is going to fly down alone on the 16th and the three of us will be checking into a 2br villa. WOW...Talk about plenty of room! Three of us in a 2br. Maybe we can get a lockoff and just open the connecting door and move into the rest of our villa on the 16th! :) It's a DVC stay booked on points so no backing out now. Still excited. Just have to back all those 6 person ADR's to 3.

Just had to share with my friends

I agree!!!! Nothing like having those healthy snacks available for little ones without having to shop, set up, clean up, etc.! Breakfast in the lounge is quick and super easy. Our youngest sometimes falls asleep during our dinner ADR, but no worries because he already consumed super healthy snacks and milk in club lounge. But I'm biased, because space is not a big issue for us at Disney and I don't like kitchens on vacation!

Mike, so sorry to hear about your daughter, son and son's fiance. Sending hugs and some Christmas cheer: :santa:

On another note, would enjoy hearing about those ADRs - what do you have planned?
