Does anyone have a photo of the Ariel statue, which I believe is at the Beach Club Villas. Where, though???

I would love to add this to the BCV description section.

I would prefer a photo without family members unless you don't mind having them posted on the front page.

You can either reply here and post the photo, or PM me and I will "borrow it".

If nobody responds, I may send out a photo mission request to someone staying at BCV in the near future.

Thanks and have a great day, everyone!
I have a multitude of BCV Ariel photos from our trip. DD insisted on saying Good Morning AND Good Night each day to her favorite princess. She was so sweet about it, I had to snap pics. But she is in all of them, so they may not suit your needs. If you don't get any other offers, let me know and I'll post a few with her in them.

All I know is that there is a huge IT convention that started today and runs through Thursday 10/21 which involves CIOs and Senior IT executives. It involves all the Epcot resorts and the blocks of rooms at the Dolphin, Swan, BWI, BC and YC are sold out for those days. Whether they will actually close EPCOT early I cannot say. ;)

The group is at the YC, BC, Boardwalk, Coronado and a few others. Do they have the whole resort (YC and BC)? NO! But we are loaded with them and they come every year. There are still plenty of regular guests at the Y&B!!!

Epcot closes at 9 PM every night this week as usual.

Thanks for the replies! This is what I told my sister, but I wanted to make sure. Hopefully it won't affect the parks too much.

They were at MK today from 3 til 7 and got a lot done (jungle cruise, pirates, magic carpet, splash twice with FP, big thunder twice with FP, haunted mansion, dinner -Colombia Harbour House-, buzz, and the speedway). They said walking down Main Street it looked like hardly anyone was there.

Thanks! Disney has great BC CL deals available with the general public discount, but we're waiting for that AP rate! Because we have APs, we're looking for an AP room-only discount in February. This year, the AP discounts have been just a little better than the general public discounts on the special offers section of the Disney website, and every little bit of savings helps! Dis sources report that Disney might release the AP rates in November, so I'm checking the annual passholder section of the website daily!

We should start a February BC list soon!

I agree. I was just telling my family how I've made up my mind to lose the 15 pounds I've been trying to lose forever so I'm going to be super good and Disney will be my reward. I'm already thinking about the burger I'm going to get from Cosmic Rays and the treats at the MK bakery. I'm not worried about putting it all back on because all the walking usually keeps things pretty well in check.

Arriving in Orlando Wed, Oct 20 - EPCOT on the 21 and MNSSHP on the 22nd - checking into the YC on Friday, Oct 22 as well...my boys have NO IDEA!!! Picking them up from school on Wednesday and driving south! This will be our first stay on property and you guys have really helped me plan every step of the way....can not wait to check in and visit SAB! Thanks so much - will be sure to post pictures afterward.:woohoo:

Good morning all! Arrived home yesterday from a wonderful stay at @WDW (2 nights BC club level and 5 nights at our home resort, VWL). Back to work this morning and now to focus on our DCL to Alaska next August.

I have a few questions Hoping someone can answer them.
**Are the pools heated in March?
***I think I read I can get the Beaches and Cream hamburgers at Hurricane Hannahs. Is this true and can I use a QS credit for them?
***Will there be movies on the beach in March?
***Thinking of doing a parets nite out, we have a 11 and 8 year old, how is Sandcastle club?

(1) As has been reported in this thread, SAB is heated. Just stay in the water and you should be fine.
(2) If you go back one or two page your questions are answered regarding HH and QS credits.
(3) The movies are on the beach year round unless the weather is nasty then they move them inside. If you are thinking it will be too cold to sit out and enjoy them, then that's another question that only Mother Nature will have an answer for.
(4) Never used Sandcastle Club for my kids but others on this thread say the kids don't want to leave once they are there.

Have fun planning

Yes, please PM me ASAP since I'm going to be away for a week over Thanksgiving (7 night cruise on the Disney Magic) and for 11 nights over Christmas (back on the Disney Magic). Since I only work Sundays and Mondays, I need to get them into the Y&B way ahead of time. Unfortunately a few people PM'd me last month a week before they were arriving and I had already worked that week on Sunday and Monday. Therefore, I couldn't get their pins to them. I keep a notebook so even if you are coming in January or February, send me the information now!

My family of four is going this March. We are so excited!!! In 2009 we stayed at Animla Kimgdom Kidani and loved it. This trip I wanted to try a new resort and something closer to the parks. I have a few questions Hoping someone can answer them.

Just saw the part about the Sandcastle Club.

We used to take the kids to the Neverland Club because everyone said it was the best kids club at Disney. They had a good time. This year we finally tried the Sancastle Club. THe kids thought it was much better than the Neverland Club. I hate to even tell you but we used it about 4 different nights because the kids loved it so much. Some nights only one child or two children went and the other(s) came out to dinner with DH and I. DS couldn't get enough of it. He even had DH take him to some of the afternoon activities there. The kids can't wait to get back there next summer!

I finally made it through the whole thread and feel like I can start posting now!
I was just down at Disney 9/26 - 10/3 with my gigantic extended family (staying at POFQ). We had a wonderful trip, but wow is it stressful trying to plan for 2 young kids, 2 85+ year olds in scooters, 2 smokers, 2 people that have never been there before, etc...and then, right when I thought I had everything figured out, Disney announced the Wine and Dine Half marathon (for the LAST NIGHT of my trip! :scared:) so of course I had to do that (as a relay with DH) and it threw a kink in all the plans anyways!

My dad saw my medal the morning after the race, and of course he got medal envy, and decided (after YEARS of me trying to convince my parents to come down for a disney race, even if only to cheer) that he wanted to run the half with me in January so he could get his own Donald. DH said he was done with racing and needed a break from Disney for a while  so he's staying home - but I was able to convince my parents that if the three of us split the cost of a room, on top of the 40% off deal, it really wasn't THAT expensive to stay at the Beach Club, right? :dance3:

So after years of thinking about it, I'm doing my first "full" half marathon (with my dad!) and my parents are staying at their first deluxe hotel. I've stayed at the BC a couple times in the past and I love love love it!

Nice work figment & good luck with the training... I can only dream of running a half - I come from a family of bad ankles, knees & hips - so I don't run in hopes of hanging on to the original hardware as long as possible :)

Oh, by "run" I mostly mean "walk"
I've done the shorter distance races entirely walking but for the half, I have to jog every now and then to keep the minimum pace up. I have knee issues and nasty shin splints from a stress fracture I got years ago, so I have to be very careful as well! There's a lot of great walk/run programs out there to help you do it without getting injured...but holding onto original hardware is important too

Can anyone give me more information about the chocolate covered strawberries I keep seeing mentioned? I want to surprise my parents one night with a romantic night at the room - I have no problems finding other things to do at the Beach Club and Boardwalk for a while! - but that sounds like a nice added touch. Can you get them to deliver them to the room when you aren't there, or does someone need to be present? How much did they cost? Could you also get a bottle of something included? Who did you talk to to get this set up?

Anyone else joining us in February? :wizard:

We are more than half way through October so probably won't post this again. Makes me sad to remove the trips that already happened. :sad2:

Looks like three of us there for Halloween night. What are you plans? We have Hoop Dee Doo Revue booked that night then may watch the movie on the beach. MNSSHP on the 28th.

So for Epcot...walking from these resorts to the back entrance...is it helpful in the morning before WS opens?

Meaning, before 11 am do you have (can you even?) walk all the way around to the main entrance?

That sounds great. When we went in 2009 we had the kids with us the whole time. I am thinking for this trip at least one nite out for us parents!!
