Great view DisneyDad in PA! And more pixie dust. seems like a lot of DISers were upgraded to club level. Guess the non-club level rooms were overbooked?? Such a nice treat.

I have just started a TR which includes our BC stay from July 28 -Aug 1. I will be posting some pics and reviews.
We were in a standard view room - 4610 (4th floor) and had a lovely courtyard view looking toward the villas.
We enjoyed Stormalong Bay, even though storms kicked us out a couple times. Most days it seemed like the water was almost too warm to be refreshing! Like a bathtub!
We had a great dinner at Captain's Grille at YC.
Enjoyed walking to Epcot and the boat to DHS. Bus to MK was a long wait (must have just missed one) and had to stop at Boardwalk even though we were already at standing capacity. Took far too long in my mind, so we didn't get to enjoy much of the AM EMH.
We enjoyed the evening campfire and marshmallows, the tye dying t-shirts at the pool (too hot though!).
I really liked the yogurt parfait at Marketplace, but I think it's too cramped in there inside the shop for as busy as it was. The solarium was a wonderful place to take some breakfast and sit and enjoy!

The CMs were terrific - the concierge was really helpful in making some back up ADR for us when we were concerned that Spirit of Aloha might be cancelled due to weather (it wasn't). Super nice lady.
Had a great breakfast at Cape May Cafe - bummed that Mickey was not there, but had fun with Minnie, Goofy and Donald. The food was really good.

Transportation is not outsourced (at least yet). The Magical Express and Cruise line buses are all run by Mears, but the buses that run to and from the parks to the resorts and boats and monorails are still Disney.

The travel company I work for just sent an email around today that they have gotten word that Disney has installed cameras at resort bus stops and have people monitoring them so that if it appears there is demand for a bus to a certain location, they can dispatch it. Have you heard anything about this? The email actually said they weren't sure if it was true or not -if not, that's a pretty good idea!

This is an out of the ordinary question, I know...but anyone experience how bad are the lovebugs at the BC the last week of September? Teena, maybe you can answer this one?

A friend who went to WDW in September told me about them and I've read posts about them - I even saw a short video on youtube someone took of the lovebugs at SAB! All over the lawnchairs, ground, etc...yuck! Do they make it difficult to sit by the pool and/or swim?

I'm not a big bug person, and in large amounts they kind of freak me out. Of course I fake it for my kids - but I know DD7 would not be thrilled either. Just hoping they won't rain on our SAB parade...LOL!

I can answer this one, I'm a Florida resident. Unfortunately, the answer is, it depends. I suspect they'll be worse than in previous years only because up until recently, we haven't had much rain, and when it's drier out, seems they are worse. They are more of a nuisance than anything. They don't bite or sting, and are harmless, but if they are really bad, they will be on chairs, flying around, and drowning in SAB as well.

Haven't heard about that. I find that the problems occur mostly at the parks (including water parks and DTD) coming back to the resorts and I think there should be a roving transportation CM at all those locations (we're talking 4 parks, 2 water parks and DTD's two stops - so a total of 8 places) whenever buses are running from those locations. They should be armed with a radio with direct contact to the dispatcher. This could eliminate 99% of the problems. When I wrote letters back at the time when I was a guest and not a CM, I always suggested that. Feel free to use my suggestion in any emails or letters any of you send. I honestly think that's a way to solve most of the problems. As far as the boats and how hot they are, I have no idea ... sounds like an engineering/mechanical problem to me.

Obviously I won't have my "pin list" with me at Jeanne's ... it's home in front of my computer.

oh I am so excited only a few more days to go now till our stay at the Y club!!! we fly out on saturday and i am going to meet my dd at the hotel ( I have not seen her since she left the UK in June to do the wdwicp ) so we are all super excited, she will be 21 during our stay so i really need to get onto the cake hotline and book a cake hopefully to be delivered to our room. any body else staying whilst we are their? we dont leave till the 11 sep - so so so need this holiday and to see my baby

Got to learn how to do the picture posting. Love the shot from the room. Glad to hear about the upgrade. It's something I haven't experienced yet in my 30+ years of visiting the World. But I do have a question, how did you manage to avoid the ME desk at the airport? I hate the delay there, it seems like it's keeping me from my vacation.

We always go right to the ME line. We show the ME page of our paperwork and they direct us to the line, not the desk. This has happened both when we have booked the flight through Disney and when we have booked it separately, then notified ME with the info. Do you check your bags through to the resort with the luggage tags or do you pick them up yourself? We check them through.


There are some great tutorials on posting pics, but here is what to do:
Upload the photos you want to post to photobucket
Above the photo are the options edit/move/share/delete. Click on share.
When you have the options for Get Link Code, you want to use the option:
IMG for bulletin boards + forums. You can choose either Full Size or Clickable Thumbnail.
Copy the url info (highlight, and right mouseclick)
Paste the code into your message

What I don't know how to do is embed a link. Like on my trip report, I would like people to be able to click on the name of the report instead of the link or on the front page FAQ, to click on the restaurant name (Cape May) to get to the menu. If someone knows how to explain this, can you send me a PM???
