I don't know if we are the most popular but we are probably the friendliest! And luckiest! We have a knowledgeable CM who volunteers her time to answer all sorts of questions about the resort. Thanks, Teena! :thumbsup2

And may I say.....a great coordinator that took time to put it together. Thanks Dee!:thanks:

Does anyone know where these rooms are located? Will be at YC last week in January. And what are the new room catagories starting the first of the year?

Does anyone know how many CL rooms there are at the BC and how many at the YC?
Someone had referred me to the allears site which is very nice, but I have know idea when that info. was posted. I remembered one of Teena's posts that mentioned a lot of out of date information is out there.....
Anyone currently know the number for each YC/BC?

Can you guys give me any info on the Cape May character breakfast? How's the food? We arrive early on 12/12 so I figured before we could even think about checking in we should grab some breakfast!

Also, dumb question but our flight arrives at MCO at 9:30.. so taking into consideration travel time on ME, what time do you think I should make the reservation for? Thanks soooo much for any help you can give me!

Agreeing with the others that you might want to possibly save it for a day when you know you can make it-they do open at 7:30am so you can always get right in, get the food hot & fresh, and have plenty of character interaction since it's not too full at that time.... and then hit the parks :thumbsup2

I've learned I will not make an ADR anymore on arrival day unless it's @ dinnertime and we're arriving in the AM after our trip last month....:rotfl: Teena heard our saga..... our flight was for 6am out of Providence due to arrive in Orlando @ 8:50am.... I had a lunch ADR for LeCellier @ 1:30. I figured that was more than enough time because we'd probably get to the BC by 11:30 am at the latest via DME....

Our flight was ready to leave the gate by 6:05am.... but the flight attendant made an announcement that we were waiting for 1 person that was stuck at the security checkpoint but we'd depart as soon as he boarded. At 6:09am, a TSA agent came on the plane and rushed up the aisle and back down again and then informed the flight attendant not to let anyone on the plane and to be on the lookout for a blonde woman with a yellow tank top :scared1: Minutes later, the same TSA agent came aboard and told everyone on the plane to grab their carryons and proceed back to the other side of the security checkpoint-there was a security breach (that woman) and they had to rescreen every passenger on every plane not to mention all the other ones that were arriving for later flights :scared1::eek::rolleyes1 It was utter chaos-TSA had no idea what they were doing or where to put all those passengers... finally by 9am, we made it back on the plane and took off. We were the lucky ones though because later I heard that planes had to depart empty because they had to be at another airport, people missed their connecting flights, etc., etc..... we arrived in Orlando @ 11:47am and by the time we got to the BC, it was 1:00.... so after we checked in to get our tickets, etc...we had to run to Epcot to make our 1:30 ADR (checked in at the podium at 1:28pm! LOL! :rotfl:

Oh, and when we returned home, I saw that the breach had made all the local news stations and discovered that it was all a big "misunderstanding" and no charges were filed against the woman who jumped through the security line :confused3:confused3

Do they still do the "changing of the guard" song and dance at SAB's afternoon shift change?

Any videos of it out there? We had great fun watching it several afternoons last year.

Since Lucas is nice is enough to start list up to Labor day, i will continue it for remainder of Sept if that is ok. So if you are going to BC or YC in Sept, please post and I will keep a list and maybe we can do a quick Dis meet.

Us BC CL 9/11-9/19

YC 9/19-9/23

traveling solo for work. would LOVE a meet up if its in the evening (gotta work during the day! attending one of the Disney Institute seminars)

Thanks for starting this! I'll be back at BC in Oct with the family so will look to do a October list too.

This certainly is a friendly thread. I've enjoyed reading all the posts here. I changed my reservations a couple of days ago, switching to Beach Club from POR. This will be my family's first stay at BC, and first at a deluxe as well. We're really looking forward to it.

Was wondering if anyone has a link to a map of the hotel itself? I've seen the one that shows the two resorts connected with pool locations, beach, etc. But I would like to see a floor by floor view of the individual room locations and other areas inside. Part of my OCD nature I suppose. I would really appreciate any help. Keep up the good work!!:goodvibes

while its true the room descriptions and views are not accurate any more, i think the general layout is still right and room numbers are right.

The club level rooms starting January 1st are:
club level standard view - yucky view
club level garden view - garden, courtyard, nicely wooded - not yucky
club level water/lagoon view - self explanatory

Those three club level room categories are all located on the fifth floor.

Yep they still do it. The time is listed on the recreation guide that is in your welcome packet.

Some day when I have time I'll sit down and count them. But at both resorts, the entire fifth floors are all club level rooms, plus the deluxe rooms and all the suites on the other four floors.

So a couple questions about BC CL:

Do I contact them or do they contact me about ADRs, etc?

I still have until Sept 2011- how much in advance do they contact me/should I contact them?

Thanks!

If you don't hear from them before, I'd make initial contact about 7 months prior and give them all your "wants" so they can be ready to make all your dining and other reservations at the appropriate time.

Here's a group photo from our DIS Meet.

From what I remember of the Meet list, 6 of 11 of us were able to make it (not bad considering everyone's schedules!): Siouxi31, Teena (holding 'flat' natebenma!), YCFAN, DisneyMomx7, kirbygump, LovintheLodge, and Disney1976. Thanks for setting this up jjohnson (Teena received your message that you couldn't make it). It was a fun time and the beginning of some lasting friendships!
