2010 news from the Magic

Would be very wary of flying with Russian airlines, have a friend who comes from Siberia and her family are still there. She will fly BA to Moscow from England and then do the train onward for over 2 days as there is grave concern about the aircraft and also the airfields.

Must say I flew with Aeroflot in 1991 from London to Moscow then back from Leningrad to London, and vowed never to fly with them again! I am in no way a nervous flyer but they did scare me!! Although having said that it is now 17 years later so maybe they have improved.

WOW! didn't think about that. I take for granted where I live sometimes. I would do lots of research anyway before committing to something like that anyway. Definately something to keep in mind. Thanks.

Oh looks like we may be booking the first Baltic cruise as it coincides with our 9th wedding anniversary :)

There are so many posts... two quick questions...

Is the 3rd and 4th person still $99 for the TA's or is that really a typo.
How much is the deposits for the TA's and is it 50% off through my Travel agent.

THANKS!!!

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be a flight. I think there might be a high speed train in the works...

I used to live in Moscow (for three years after I graduated from college). This is an exciting development...

I've been told this is a typo but that said towards the end of the last TA I think the 3rd and 4th people were something like $200 each.

This note has been removed from both cruises since yesterday so I would assume it was a typo

DCL said it was a typo - I spoke with three different people about it

Any cruise that is 10nts and longer will be $600 deposit, per person, category 4-12. 50% deposit will apply, we are being told, if booked online and yes TA's can book online.

Just keep in mind that if the online system crashes it may have to be booked over the phone and then the 50% off deposit will not apply

Now that sounds more interesting as I travelled on the overnight train between Moscow and Leningrad. A train route would be my preferred option.

That is probably correct. If they were going to release the information early it would have been on the website already. It may be up before Tuesday but chances are it will not

I have a question someone might be able to awnser. My dad and I are thinking about doing on the the Baltics or the september transatlantic, so we are going to book the Baltic cruise which will prob be the one we do, but at a later date if the transatlantic isn't sold out(which could be, but might now be as well since it is in september, so never know)could we switch to that cruise if we decide we can do that cruise?

You can switch to a new cruise prior to final payment, but you will pay the current rate at time of new bookings.

Just to say last year the Transatlantics didn't sell out! This said who knows this year. I think booking the Baltic one is probably the best plan as I think that is more likely to be sold out than the Transatlantic early

yeah I know the transatlantics didn't sell out last year, that's why I figure the wb one won't sell out this year since it is in september, and I totally agree booking the Baltic is the best plan, we are going too and then depending if we can do the transatlantic cruise switch too that if we can get the time off if not then we'd be able to do the Baltic we want to do both so either one is fine with us:goodvibes

DCL will have the holiday cruises available for booking on October 14th. They've provided TA's with the itineraries, and they have been posted here (and I'm sure are on Dreams Unlimited's site)...however no rates of any kind will be available untill Tuesday.

We have two onboard bookings with the 50% deposit. In order to change to a 2010 cruise we need to phone. So, will the deposit required be back to the full amount? We are looking at booking something in October and the New Year's Cruise.

You should be able to keep the 50% off deposit since you aren't adding people. If you were to add people then the deposit would be the full amount for that person(s)

I wonder what is going to happen to DCL bookings with all the Gyrations going on on Wall Street:confused:

Me I still want a back to back to back the 15 day EB REPO was not enough:woohoo: :yay: :cool1:
