2010 Fall Dining for DVISA Is Out (See FIRST page)'

I made the change to my reservation this morning about 9 am est. and still haven't gotten a confirmation. Anyone else still waiting or should I call?

You may not get it til tommorow am. That is how all of mine seem to hit.

I know this is a free dining thread and all; but would anyone mind if I added a new subject for a quick answer.... I've never had trip insurance. I know we are traveling in hurricane season. Is it really worth getting the insurance? Does it really work if there is a hurricane?

I stayed at WL in 2004 when all the crazy hurricanes hit. It was really windy ect. But disney did a excellent job. I have no worrys.

Up date, I was able to switch to QS from TS and they are sending me another conformation.

Im sure that sounds nuts to switch from TS to QS. But for us TS is to much food. If TQ offered appetizer instead of desert, we may have stayed with it. But if we did the TS plan at Le Cellier, we want the soup which we have to pay out of pocket and we get a desert that we were to full to eat. So it makes no senses for us.

So I get to thinking (always a bad sign) and I figure if I upgrade to FW Cabins, I will probably still save some $$. I call back, and sure enough I can save about $200.00 to upgrade. So I tell the CM go ahead and upgrade. Then DH wakes up and I tell him. Well, little did I know he really wanted to stay at ASM. Oh no what do I do?

Can we back up for a sec. I'm trying to confirm if the cabins are available for FD. I can't call until Monday but I really want to know all my options beforehand. We love the cabins.

Has anyone actually booked the cabins with the Dvisa FD offer today?

I hope you got the FD in the suites. That would be my next option.

I personally don't think it's worth it. I've now been told by 2 CMs that we can change our dates of travel up until the day of arrival with no more than a $65 change fee (and that's only if our new dates cost less, which probably won't happen now that we have free dining). We're in the middle of an adoption process and may end up having to change at the last minute, not knowing when things will happen with that. So, I'm not sure it makes sense to pay for trip insurance IF you are willing/able to move your trip dates, not cancel. The only problem I can see is possibly not getting a refund on your airfare.

QS for value - but you can upgrade to DDP
DDP for all others

will be open to the public on Monday

Just booked POP for our family Sept 11-19 and upgraded from qs to DDP.
Now, I am really getting excited!

For us (2A, 1C) it was a few hundred cheaper to stay at POP and upgrade the dining plan. We are never in the room, except at night, so we don't care too much about the room. And we LOVE POP. POP's busses aren't bad - they don't share with any other resort like ASMu, ASSp and ASMo. But that's what works best for our family. I'm sure there will be other's who feel differently.

we've stayed at Pop before and Riverside last year, I just remember the Pop bus lines being looong..............but maybe they all can be that way.

I didn't put anything on my disney visa. They ask for the first six digits & verify you have the card & you are good to go.

Two things: my CM said I had to pay my deposit with my DVisa, is that wrong?

Yes they ask for it...if you already did a deposit with your DVisa then you are fine, if not I believe you have to put down another $200

No Deluxe resorts get basic but you can upgrade to DxDDP

I haven't gotten my email confirmation yet either and I was off the phone by 7:45am!! But, my updated price was shown on the Disney website when I checked earlier. That's all that matters I guess.

We are stating at SS Treehouse Villas which I think counts as a Deluxe, Did not get Deluxe Dining, Did get Free Dining.

We had originally booked with a PIN for 40% off Deluxe but free dining saved us a additional 130$ over what the PIN did...

Wouldn't it be awesome if we could use BOTH That will never happen!
