2010 Fall Dining for DVISA Is Out (See FIRST page)'

FYI - I have a ressie at Pop and called to see how much it would cost to upgrade to CSR and there is nothing available (Aug 28-Sep4). I called back around 11:00 but couldn't post until now. A little early to be totally booked, but that could be from everyone waiting for FD and booking anyway.

That was really the thing that threw me around. I was booking a vacation that required me to do actual learning and studying to get the most out of it.
Who had ever heard of such a thing?

That is exactly what my family & friends are not able to understand!

Luckily I have the DISboards to instruct me in the mysteries of the World!

Those are the same dates we're going and staying at WL! Did you check on Woods view? I was able to book that this morning.

We actually have our hearts set on Courtyard View - but thanks for the info!

Maybe we'll run into each other at the pool or Roarin' Forks!

It's a three step program! admitting the adiction is # 1..... Can't possibly be done... so you'll analyze and re-think and re-think.... then cancel and change and change some more until the day you come home.... then the withdrawls will really set in.

So, I dont have a DVisa; but I called today to get my MNSSHP tickets and I asked about FD. Since we are booked to arrive on Oct 4, we would have to switch our arrival date to Oct 1 or 2. The awesome CM ran the numbers for me . I would have saved almost $400 with FD; but since I already booked my airfare and would have to pay a penalty for switching flights, my savings only came to $169. Not that $169 wouldnt be nice to save. I dont know if its worth it.
I guess I should have waited to book my air; but live and learn.

I had to work today and checked the thread on my break and saw it was a go, but can't book from work. So I got home at 2 cst and booked 2 rooms at POP for Sept 25-30 with upgrade to regular dining. Awesome cm took care of everything. It'll be me, my DSis, her hubby, daughter and 2 yo grandson. I got right in and was on the phone under 30 minutes. Easy Peasy.

I tried CSR for our October trip and it was booked too.

Book with Southwest out of Philly next time-they don't charge for bags,or changing dates or anything!!! If your changed flight is cheaper,they even give you credit!!! I have changed flights several times without issue,and even got a $320 credit when I changed to a cheaper flight(5 tickets)!!! Southwest is the BEST in my opinion!

And thanks to all for the good info - I left a message for our AAA travel agent very early this morning and when she got in she re-booked at POFQ and saved us about $1300 for our 3 rooms in August.

Also, my best friend is going through a horrible time right now. She re-booked this morning and her savings was a bright spot in an otherwise rotten week!

We are staying at POR oct. 4-10 and I am sick, sick, sick about the dates for the free dining promotion. Anybody have any thoughts about a late fall promotion???

ugh! We are going OCt 4-10. I was horrified to see the dates end 10/2 for the FD. Hopefully something will be available for late fall. I feel your pain!!!

The only 'no go' we've heard of so far was no CSR on selected dates..

We don't yet know if that's no CSR at all for all dates..

We have 2 rooms at CSR for Sept. 19th - 25th and we were able to get FD today.

Just switched my dates and got POR for 8 nights with free dining!!!!! Aug 16th-24th. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

We are staying at the Beach Club at the end of August. Is it possible to get the free quick service dining or do we have to get the regular free dining for deluxe hotels?

Can anybody confirm what the maximum length of say is with free dining? The first post of this thread states 14 days, but mousemisers.com says "your stay cannot be longer than 10 nights".

We have 2 rooms at CSR for Sept. 19th - 25th and we were able to get FD today.

I was able to get it for 8/17-8/26.

Probably a SILLY question...but can you use your own DV card and book for someone else even if you arent gonna be going with that person??
