OH YEAH!!! My TA just added the FD code to our ressie and now we're ready to enjoy 14 nights at POR Aug 31 - Sep 14 with free grub!!!

Let this be a lesson to all: when I was almost ready to lose faith in WDW, the Mouse came up in the bottom of the ninth and delivered a game-winning home run! Thank you Mickey, and thank you to all who helped with our plans. Canadian Guy, you rock! If you said today that it will rain pancakes from the sky tomorrow, I'm going to the store and stocking up on maple syrup!

Can someone clarify something for me please since I keep reading conflicting information?! Do you only have to use the DisneyVisa for the down payment, or do you have to pay for the entire trip with it? Thanks for your help!

The CM I talked to said just the down payment. He said that the remaining balance can be paid by another method.

Just curious......I have a resort reservation booked because we are going anyway, and am waiting for Monday to book FD (hopefully!). Is there any benefit to using a travel agent? Or anything you lose from using one? I've always gone straight through Disney. Would it be worth it to book through a travel agent today or tomorrow to have them switch me over to FD Monday without me having to worry about it?

May as well wait to Monday now.. booking now gets you nothing.. the room inventories have been separated and whether you book today or Monday.. wont' change the availability at various resorts on Monday.

I am EXTREMELY happy today and am having a hard time focusing at work! I am so happy for us DVisa holders that are getting our FD ressies all situated! And I want to say to those in Canada, and those who don't have a DVisa card that I know how you feel. But, now that FD came out for DVisa card holders, at least you know it's coming!!!!! Sorry that we are "gloating" but we are very happy. I promise to check back in on Monday to listen to each and every one of you with your excitement that you got your free dining too!

Lastly, and most importantly.....

You're very sweet.. but my trip is in June.. Checking out the Swan & Dolphin properties this go around so no F/D for me this year.. Maybe next year. I'm a patient man.

I'm more bummed that I'm going to miss Captain EO by just about 21 days.. Grr.. but c'est la vie.

What better reason to book another trip?

Has it been confirmed a GP will definitely be coming out? It seems not always there is a GP offer jsut because there was a DVISA offer. Just a little nervous still for the rest of us.......

Our school system has two days for Rosh Hoshana, so no lost school days!!!

Just got the e-mail from my TA, she was able to apply the DVisa offer to our ressie. We are at Pop from 8/15-8/22 preferred room with 8 day Park Hoppers and upgrading to the DP for 2A/2C for $2123.40 saved us $429.62 over what we were paying with the 20% pin.
Was more concerned about my dad's ressie since we had been able to apply the Kids eatandplay free offer, so he was thrilled to save over $400 as well. TA just changed both ressies over to FD, difference in FD and Kids eat and play free was'nt much though. Was glad I put the deposit for both ressie's on my DVisa. Did'nt have to put any more on the card when TA changed it over. Woohoo, love saving money! Now that the wait is over, now what to do til August.

So excited!!! I got through with no wait at all (and even the automated system was a lot quicker than in the past) and got free dining for POR from 9/24 to 10/2!

same here, no wait! Staying at POR also, almost same dates: 9/20-9/30. We saved $1600 over our original booking, so we added 1 night and 2 days of Park Hopper tickets.

My e-mails NEVER come through until the next day if that makes you feel better

Kids Stay, Dine, and Play for free was just about as comprable for us. It was 11 dollars more expensivefor Kids SDP for free than FD would have been. I get to stay where I want and I don't have to call today.

That is priceless.

This is probably an often asked question around here, so sorry for sounding dumb...I've never used the dining plan before...

I know my one year old doesn't cost anything and she'll just eat some of our food. Will the restaurants give us some juice/milk for her for free or will they charge? If they charge will they let us bring in our own?
