2010 Fall Dining for DVISA Is Out (See FIRST page)'

Does Disney usually run two promotions at a time? Since they released the kids play free til Oct 3, when FD usually runs to, it makes me a little suspicious. I am going DVC anyway, but I have a friend who wants to do FD so I'm stalking it also

Me too! My husband compared my Disney planning mania to my wedding planning mania years (and years) ago. He said that I'm not going to know what to do with all my extra time after the trip is over. Ladies, remember that feeling after the wedding was over???

In order to get the promotion early using your DVisa, you actually have to USE your Disney Visa. You will have to charge $200 of your vacation to your Disney Visa when you add FD. Maybe they can refund some of your old payment???? Not sure how it works when it's paid in full. I paid all but the $200 and the cost of free dining.

Actually, I should be okay and able to charge $200 of my vacation because if FD is offered, I will have to add back the money that I saved using my 40% off pin. FD is a better deal than 40% off pin because we have what Disney calls 5 "adults" in our party. Then, I can use my Disney Visa to pay off the rest of the trip, WOOHOO! COME ON FD!!!

There was an example of this recently when they were offering a tiered % off room rates or the gift card. It all seems like such a distant memory.

Okay...I just called Chase to ask them what is the best number to call in the morning when FD is announced. She put me on hold for about 2 minutes and said they have no codes and no nothing about FD being announced tomorrow - and I genuinely believed her.

I asked her if they ever find out the day before and she said if it's a promotion being offered by Chase, she would know about it. If it's an offer being offered by Disney, they don't know until the day of. So...would free dining be a Chase offer or a Disney offer?????

Chase would not know about the codes for disney until the day of. Disney is giving the offer. To get the disney Visa code you have to use your dv card to put a deposit on the trip, if you have already not. Disney is who you call to add the code.
Just alked with my TA, she is hearing rumors but have not heard a word from Disney. I told her I'm getting alittle werry of the long wait for this possible offer. She is getting werry as well.. Well hopefully we will know in 10-12 hrs..

No Dvisa here. So my question is....When fd is offered monday (trying to stay positive ) is there a minimum I have to put down for the ressie like the $200 for the Dvisa promo? Is it just a portion to secure the reservation or do I have to pay in full. Just wondering because my niece wants to book a room but she doesn't have the full payment until her taxes come in. I'd much rather lend her a down payment instead of booking a 7 day stay with tickets.

It would be a Disney offer. Everything that'g going to be public in couple of days on Disney official web-site is Disney offers. Stuff like special pins and special tour discounts are offers by Chase.

There's always a $200 deposit requirement when you book a full package (room, tickets and/or dining). You don't have to pay in full until 45 days before your trip.

Yes! I just got married 3 wks ago...as soon as thank you notes are done I will be in bliss! Although, I am working on our Disney trip...haha! One thing after another around here!
