Okay - here's a question. If I check on the DVisa page and there is nothing there, and I call Disney @ 7am tomorrow and ask if the DVisa promo came out, would they know/tell me? :confused3 or will they know nothing - as usual? :surfweb:

Your best bet, probably, is to call DVisa themselves.

my plan is to check mousesavers first... and the disney rewards site... and here... and my email... and maybe the stars ;)

I'm pretty sure that Travel Agents are informed a few days ahead of time but are told that if they tell anybody that they'll lose their "official Disney TA" status with Disney. They need to know ahead of time so they can get their ducks in a row for which clients would benefit from them calling in to update their reservations for the new deal.

My point is that people who are already in the know will report here fairly early. CMs may not all be well informed. I'd want to know the code before calling so you don't waste your time on the phone. If you have the code already then you can just tell them to humour you and give it a try but if you don't know it and the CM says it's not there then you'll just have to call back later.

Just my $0.02.

Just looked on the official Disney TA site. Nothing on there about upcoming promotions. And current Disney Visa promotion is not listed, just the current GP offers. And no recent heads up notifications either by Disney.

um, no, most TAs are not...at least not for DVisa offers... they usually hear about an hour after it hits here (when disney's district sales offices open)... sad but true... even those with "official disney TA status" (like earmarked) are not given anything more than an official "rumor"...

Disney TA speaking - we get no advance notice of an offer like that, especially the visa. You'd be surprised how lousy the promotion communication is to us.....

From over on the restaurants board...

My TA said 7AM tomorrow for the Visa people and 7AM Monday for the public.

just an fyi, even if you are a GG there is absolutely, positively, unequivocably NO GUARANTEE that you will get the connecting, adjoining, nearby, on the same hallway, or in some resorts even the same building... btdt and did not get any of our requests 'cept ground level room for g'ma... dh/i/4 kids could not even get connecting, and the rest of our family were spread among two buildings (5 rooms total) in the same "section" (aruba) of CBR...

I guess I should of said they will try their best but if it is linked and not too busy you should be somewhere in the same vicinity...we were in '08 but there was only 2 rooms which is a lot easier than say 6/7. I know CM's know nothing and are usually misinformed but the special GG one that I got told me they would try to put everyone on the same floor if they could but I should have no problem since it is just 2 rooms. If I was told something I *may*(depending on how far away everyone was from each other) ask if we could be moved since I was told when making a ressie that we would be together or close by each other. If they couldn't so be it but I would ask and not let it ruin our vaca...it is just a room(just to sleep&shower in):rotfl:

b) you'll need to request to speak to Guest Services when you call to make the change. Guest services may still tell you that there is zero availability.. but they at least know the hows and wheres of the process better than many minimally trained front line CM's.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Canadian Guy! I did what you suggested and you were right!! I got the days I needed and can keep the WL. Hooray!!! You are my HERO Canadian Guy. The rumors MUST be true. Free Dining Here We Come!!!!

WooHoo, I hope it is true. I am looking so forward to trying the free dining this year. We have never done this before and looking very forward to it.

Just noticed that the Disneyworld.com website shows the Kids 3 to 9 stay and play free offer is available to the general public for booking thru Oct 2nd. Is this new? Thought it was only for DVisa members.

Only 1 kid for us so this wouldn't save us much.

Aahhhh!!!! Please let be offered tomorrow to DVisa cardholders....at least we know that it won't be long before the GP get it. :woohoo:

Also from the dining board...;) :goodvibes

I would be a little cautious pinning my hopes on any one person right now as knowing more than anyone else. We have quite a few TAs who post here on the boards (Both from Dreams and other agencies that specialize in Disney) and I don't hear any confirmations from them yet, so I doubt that the promotion has been announced to all TAs with the cloak of "keep this secret" Disney knows better, NOTHING is secret anymore once they make an announcement to anyone outside of their core execs. (and lots of time execs can't keep things secret - Bay Lake Towers anyone?) ;) :)

I'm not saying that it's not going to happen tomorrow, I just wouldn't trust any one person's word as gospel, unless they are an exec at Disney. They're regular people who hear the same rumors that we hear.

I had a great TA back in our 2008 trip. When FD came out, she was able to apply it around 6am, before the phones opened.

Could this be it???

I think this is old news. It is not as good a deal as the Visa deal since no dining is included. I have seen many previous posters state that there can be more than one offer at a time, so don't give up!!! I think the kids stay free deal is aimed at a totally different audience than the free dining deal.

Not to be so picky, but it it 7am east coast time? Just want to make sure Im up(I live in California)

Can somebody tell me how FD works with the Disney Visa card. What do I need, just my card. I already have a reservation and I have already paid for my trip, I just want to add FD to it. I just got my Disney Visa last week so I am new. Any info from any Visa holders is greatly appreciated!

I'm glad that worked out. whenever you hear the words ZERO availability at all-resorts.. it's a safe guess it's a closed offer issue most of the time.

Also from the dining board...;)

And I'll reiterate what Tricia said.. I wouldn't be betting the mortgage payment or taking any information in this thread in anyway other than exactly as it was intended to be from the beginning - a sourced rumor I hoped would help keep folks sane til the final word came along.

I certainly hope and believe it's tomorrow.. but anyone can be wrong - way wrong and that could certainly happen here.

Hopefully what you all see comes down the pike and everyone gets what they want. :)

Please be prepared either way. ::goodvibes
