I would love to go to HP, however, I am going to wait until my DD's are all older, and have read the books/seen the movies.

We have our vacation booked, and I didn't know anything about these pins and discounts. I am so excited that I found out about these, however, it is STRESSFUL waiting, waiting, waiting,

Although, I am so glad I found ya'll so I can share in my impatience.

anyone know if with the disney visa offer is it only 2 children free with 2 adults? we are 2 adults and 3 children staying at POR late aug. for 7 nights with 6 day base tickets. I would upgrade to DDP. Trying to figure out what my cost would be with the visa offer. currently I'm at $2800 for the 5 of us inc the dining plan with my pin code. would I have to pay for the 3rd child? what about the extra day of park tickets? do I pay to upgrade them at the park or are all the days free?

thanks.

I think you would be fine with 3 kids. I was going to go alone with my two girls at first and they booked it for me. Just call.
I tried to figure it out for you guessing all 3 kids are between 3-9 years old--going from a Saturday to a Saturday with 6 day base tickets and DDP it would be $2278.16 + $42 for kids to upgrade to ddp = $2320.16

To figure it out, just put the info for you and your dh in and add in $2 per day per kid to upgrade to ddp. Good luck!

confused3:confused3 FD WHERE ARE YOU???:confused3:confused3

This CAN'T be the only offer coming out! Please Canadian Guy, reassure us that we won't be disappointed next week (ish).

Oh FD, don't leave us now, not after months of waiting. Please show us your beautiful face on either April 29th or May 3rd. Grace us with.. oh man I need some sleep:sad2:

I agree with you about your 10 year old as an adult. I know my daughter won't be able to eat all of the food as an adult on the DDP, but so be it.

When I was a child in Illinois, we used to go to 6 flags every summer.... (that is when they used to be a fun park, and Disney was too far and too expensive) One year, we loaded up the car and took off... I got excited as I saw the Arch... just knowing we were close.

Then I started seeing some of the 6 flags rides... got very excited.... then we drove right on past the entrance!!! I was like WHAT GIVES?

My Mom turns around to me and tells me we aren't going to 6 flags...

I was devastated!!!

What did we do? I can't even remember doing anything (interesting), but remember we ended up in Oklahoma City... WHY? :confused3
I still to this day don't know why I thought we were going to 6 flags... did they lie to us? did I just assume? Regardless.... 30 years later, I still feel the disappointment!!!

Please Disney.... :rolleyes1

I had the same feeling as a kid.

I was 7 and we were a week away from going to DisneyLand Paris, first time to Europe and first time to a Disney theme park. That morning my dad fell down the stairs and fractured his arm in multiple places, had to have extensive surgery and we couldn't go. :(

What are your childrens ages? If you have 3 this current deal may save you some money. First do you have a Disney Visa? If so, check into it. If it saves you money, book it. You can change to free dining, if that still comes out. I always take advantage of each deal that saves me money. For this trip, I originally had AAA discount, then got a pin for 30% off (saves $133), then I got a pin for 35% off (saved another $77). And if free dining comes out I will save a ton more! :cool1: But if not, no matter what, we are going to Disney World. What could be better than that? :goodvibes

I would leave stuff laying around the house that is related to Disney. Just keep putting more and more out. Then maybe for dinner one night you could give her a cookie that looks like Mickey, or put a picture of Mickey under her plate. Thanks for the compliment. They were so shocked...that is all they talked about the entire 8 hours we drove after that. The staff at Cracker Barrel got such a kick out of it.

Thanks Melanie. Great ideas!!!

I just called to price out our vacation with the disney visa code....saved $475!!! and that was with upgrading to the regular dining plan and changing from 6 day to 8 day park tickets! and when I figured it out I think it actually ends up being $30 less than if we got free dining! I am thrilled! this may just make up for the high cost of airline tickets! now if the flights would just drop...

So if the Dvisa promo ends up being the promo, how do I even price out what it will be? Is the max 4 nights? Do kids even ever cost with parents?? Would I just pay the extra to upgrade the kids to the reg DP?

Is someone just guessing based on the fact that the Dvisa promo was extended?

Just go to disney site, put in for how many adults there will be (adult "kids" too), base tickets, qsdp, and resort. The kids will be free for as many nights as you are there. If you upgrade to the ddp, they will be $2 per night per kid.

HTH!

Does anyone know if I can get the free kids then "upgrade" my DD who is 9 to be an adult by paying the diffference in child and adult? We have 3 kiddos so this deal would save us a bunch!!! But, DD 9 is not going to enjoy chicken nuggets and pizza all week, if not I guess it is not a big deal, she and I could share at CS and most of our TS meals are to be character meals anyway. Just curious.....

My DD's will be 7&5 for our trip in Sept and they LOVE HP...I would go there if our youngest was older she will only be 16months. I can't imagine this is all they will offer for Aug/Sept...most kids are in school at 3-9. I can't imagine they are promoting taking your kids out of school for a vacation. It is almost like when they did their Magical Beginnings, but that was for preschoolers and it did not work out so great. I wonder if they are testing the waters to see if a lot of people will book with this offer. I am going to wait and see we have a 30% off rate right now. I need to run the numbers but this offer definately will not work for my DM and step father.

I'm hoping for FD in December :) This would make a maybe trip a definite!

The "kids play free" is no deal for us....We are a family of five -- And unfortunately 2 of our kids are "Disney Adults" :(

I have 11 and 10 year old girls, and we will absolutely be feeling the increase for this trip --- on their passes and their dining (for character meals and buffets) So much so, that we may not be able to pull off our next trip as planned (Nov or Dec 2010) unless there's a good promotion....Last trip was 2008, and all three kids fell into the 3 - 9 year old category, so this is a BIG change for us!

Crossing my fingers :)

Why is all this so aggravating

Maybe they are throwing the DVisa extension out there so people will book that, say its done with, and wait for vacation. So when they put out the DVisa free dining, there just maybe by chance, have people already booked with the kids free offer to not bother looking for the FD one. Well it's a good dream, right?

This is just insane! I am going either way, but holy moly, should I just book using the DVisa kids free or should I just wait another week or two to see if free dining comes out. Free dining is the better offer for us because we only have 1 child in the 3-9 with us 2 adults. If FD does come out can you just switch the offer from the kids free to free dining? I'm about to pull my hair out.

Where is CanadianGuy...I need his kind words to calm me down in this time of panic :rotfl: And for him to say that there is still a chance for FD!

Yeah where is CanadianGuy?!?!?! Come out come out whereever you are! We need some reassurance here!

POP 9/4-9/9/10...already booked but want free dining!! ...especially since we're taking the grandmas along for the adventure!!

There are so many people who go to Disney and don't have any kids. If FD is not offered and the Kids deal is the only one Disney is going to run during Fall, I think they're going to see some serious attendance decline.
My boyfriend and I wanted to go there for 9 days and stay on site because with FD the value would still be there, but if that's not offered, we're just going to stay at Hard Rock Hotel and maybe visit DW for 2-3 days out of our stay.
Boooooo.
