You can have the ticket seperated from you KTW card. Just go to any ticket booth and they can take it off and give you a paper ticket. It has no name, anyone can use it. We did this last year.

Yes, if you happen to get a CM who knows how to and wants too. Sorry, but I tried at our resort and guest services in 2008 to get the tickets removed and every time (tried 4 times) I was told it couldn't be done! In May 2009 we had one day passes and the CM at ASMu was able!! If you can't get them removed, just make sure you MARK your room key with the fact that it is still a 1 day ticket and valid! Good luck!

Does it expire? Could you, for example, save them up for someone that joins you next year and use them next year......

I hope you are wrong about the QSDP for Values, since last year the DP was offered to Values.

I hope that part of the rumor is wrong too, as I'm currently booked at the Pop as well. In years past, the FD promo has always mirrored the bounceback....but this is not necessarily years past. However, if it does make you feel better, the May 3rd date was quite a bit more solid than the possibility of QS at Values. If anything didn't come to pass, I hope its that.

Remember too that Disney analyzes this stuff right up til the day it rolls out, so its possible that they could be thinking of the possibility of QS at the Values *IF* their bookings are at an reasonable level by May 3rd. If not, then they may roll with the regular plan for all. I think Harry Potter is the main culprit in the FD delay, as Disney has been feverish about shoring up summer bookings.

Don't give up hope just yet...

We were able to have our one day ticket removed last year at Pop but not at MK guest services. It took a supervisor to do it, but they able to. It does not have a name on it or expire. HTH!

It doesn't expire. We are saving ours for family members when they travel with us. We had our tickets removed at the ticket booths outside the entrance to EPCOT without any problem. There were actually 6 of us total that had it down without a problem.

I did not know that we could request that the one-day ticket be seperated from our KTW cards.

Does the ticket have a name on it, so it can only be used by that person?
Does the ticket expire or can it be used anytime?

Anyone who has actually done this and explain exactly how it works, your help is MUCH appreciated.

Thanks!!!

This can definitely be done. We have done it twice both times at CSR concierge when we checked in. It was no problem...they knew exactly how to do it. Our one-day tickets were put on the hard key cards, not the paper tickets, but have no names listed on them. And no they do not expire as long as they remain unused.

Mel:

No way you can go a week earlier to save almost 200$ by staying in the same season as last year eh?

K

I really wish I could. If we did that we would have to take the kids out of school for that week. Then when we got back...they would be on their track out break for an additional 3 weeks. I dont want them to miss that last week of school. We go to school year round...9 weeks in school, then a 3 week break. Last year that break fell from Sept 26-Oct 19. No such luck this year. We are still waiting. Maybe Disney will do what they did last year and we will go.

Sorry I'm going off topic here but Melanie's photo is just beautiful . My DD then seven was chosen for this September '07 but I didn't get a picture as DH had the camera elsewhere in the park :-(

In our case DD didn't have ears but we were serenading one another " Tale as old as time .............Beauty and the beast " and falling about in helpless giggles. DH reckoned they would have offered us ANY incentive to stop:laughing: We still have the rose somewhere, an odd item, in bendy velour, that DD considers way too precious to part with :cloud9:

In the same trip DD was chosen to beat a drum on stage to open the now defunct Pocahontas show, she was wearing a home made Pocahontas shirt at the time. In 2008 we had a really early dinner ADR at Chef Mickey's. DD and her best friend had home made Minnie 'outfits' with ears and were chosen to open the restaurant with Mickey, write in his autograph book and were given a photo package of them doing so. I think they try to offer pixie dust of this type to people who seem 'into' the particular event and consequently would probably enjoy it a lot.

Isnt it wonderful when they get picked? She was on :cloud9: Speaking of Minnie outfits...if we get to go back this year...maybe I should have her wear hers more often. She wore this one to the MNSSHP.

I got my card about 2 months ago and I didn't get an eMail confirmation and when I called to get my number, they said the number hadn't been assigned and they wouldn't know it until I called to confirm that I received my card. Thinking back, now I'm not so sure how true that really was!

When I did mine, there was something on the online form where I had to check to receive my "results" and number via email if I wanted them. I received my approval confirmation via email about 2 days later. The one in the mail arrived about two weeks later. Maybe the email confirmation isn't something they do anymore? I don't know.

That is it. Just like Disney's Halloween celebration..Universal offers the Halloween Horror Nights. Although being the big chicken I am...we dont do that. :lmao: I hope Disney looks at the current rates at the onsite hotels in October at Universal. For us to book the Pop Century for Oct 1-Oct 8 it is $130 for 2 nights and $120 for the rest of the week. We have a reservation at the Hard Rock Hotel for $131 per night every night. That is like staying in the Grand Floridian for Value Resort prices. We choose Value Resorts because my children are like Energizer Bunnies and never want to be in the room. They sleep and shower. So we spend about 12-13 per day in the parks. I dont think FD for all the resorts is a big deal for Disney. Most of the places we had our TS were buffets. I guess we will just have to wait. It is really just a toss up at this point.

I had it made for her. Go to EBAY and type in BOUTIQUE MINNIE. You will find the lady that does them. I don't remember who did it for me. It wasn't expensive either.

I wonder if my friend made them. She makes outfits like that and sells them on ebay. She made my daughter the cutest Snow White quilted backpack for school! She is FANTASTIC!!!!

Just wanted to share that! Back to FD!!!

and hopeful thoughts for you!:flower3:

Oh, and my family story - 1999 DD 14 and DS 8 - hanging around Main St waiting for our ADR time at CP - a CM walked up to us and asked if we had a spare 15 minutes and a camera. DUHH!! The kids got to go up on the train station platform and start Minnie's Magical Main Street parade along with Minnie, Goofy, Tigger, Chip & Dale and Pluto. Then they all posed for pictures up on the platform, with just my kids, with NOBODY else in sight - my hands were shaking trying to get the perfect picture!!!
