2010 Fall Dining for DVISA Is Out (See FIRST page)'

Ok...so do you think, Canadianguy, that the DVC will possibly get the DDP for values while the public is offered QDP? I'm just thinking about this last offer with the kids eat, play, stay free with DVC and it was without dining for the public.

So you originally booked the free QSD w/ Values in October and then got a pin to upgrade? Or you were paying for the QSd?

The QSDP was free at the values last October. But we had a pin attached to our name so when I called they asked if we wanted to upgrade. Which we did. I knew about the pin before I called because I got it in the mail a few weeks beofre.

The Fd came out last year for the normal time frame. But was then extended for the fall months I believe.

Tink: No clue. My guess is that the Disney Visa offer will mirror the public offer just a few days sooner.

And yeah I'm with you Ladonna... it took me a second cause I was like "Disney Vacation Club" isn't getting this offer at all.. LOL.

Disney Visa should be DVISA and DVC should remain Disney Vacation Club.. who was in charge of the abbreviations again?

Someone mentioned they had a pin last year to upgrade from QSP to DP. Wouldn't you not be able to use a pin when booking the fQSP promo?

YES. I DID last year. I went in December 2009. They offer free dining to Mod and up but only QS for Values. BUT I stayed at POP with FREE Dining Plan not QS. I don’t know what kind of PIN I had, but when I called I ask if I had any PINS to my name. The CM said yes, an upgrade to the Dining Plan. I didn’t have to pay. I wasn't the only one, a lot of other DISer got it too.

They didn’t offer the QS or DDP for BB when we went.

I LOVE going with the Dining Plan. I don’t think my DS15 would go to WDW if we didn’t do TS meals. It part of going on Vacation. Knowing we are going to eat Great food (for free)!! Eating at WDW is MY DS15 favorite part!

Okay Knox....one more dumb question about my travels to Canada. I am not bringing my laptop. If I call Thursday morning (even though I'll call every morning), at 7:00, and I ask if FD has been released, will they know and will they tell me? Because a few times when I talk to the CMs, they say they don't really know anything until we tell them. Not sure how to handle this since I won't have these boards for a week.....

We are booked at POP with FD already. WE booked bounce back. But we would rather have the QSDP. There is only 2 TS meals we really want to do. But we did book are ADR"S just in case.
But we are also thinking of upgrading to a moderate. I guess will see what the deal is in the end. Maybe they will come out with a room only discount also. Then we can stay mod and just pay for the QSDP. Thanks for the updates.

I think the QSDP will work better for our family. IT is very tough with ADR's I feel like I'm alwasy looking at my watch.

Ok this is what Happened to us last year. We went in Ocotober it was the QSDP at the values. We opted to do the RDP because we got a pin in the mail. So free upgrade. But in all honesty I would do the QSDP in a minute. To many adr's for us. We usually do the character meals for the kids more than anything. But the only 2 we really want to do this year is NOrway princess breakfest and Garden Grill. MAybe crystal Palace also. But we are going for 9 nights and 9 ADR's is to many for us.

I'm hoping the values are the QSDP than I can change my bounce back offer to the new one. But I'm so glad that I did the bounce back because it is better than no free dining. I'm probably in the minority in wanting the QSDP.

I was going to say why not rebook under the new promo if it is offered...but this thread is moving so fast I can't keep up

Yes...I believe they are talking about the Visa Card not Vacation Club...it is hard to follow...I used to just put DV(it seemed everyone was doing DVC) but now I put DVisa.

Keeping an eye on this thread! We're booked at POP with dining and are fully prepared to pay for it...but now Dsis and I are thinking if FD does come out we might try to switch to POFQ - I've always wanted to stay there!

The difference in price between 7n/8d paid dining at Pop and 7n/8d free dining at POFQ is only about $134 apiece for us.

Please please tell me why it is I"m so addicted to all of this now I'll be spending the remainder of my day figuring out the best QS places to eat! I mean I already had one a day planned out, but now I'll be on a quest to have at least one a day that offers healthier options nonfried and with some kind of veggies as a side is there a thread going with that sort of info?

For those that are wondering why the values might only get the QS for free dining my guess would be that they are losing too much money with the regular ddp in the values. Think about it, if you can get the room for 69-89 and have 2 adults and 2 disney-adult kids, it would be 42 x 4 = 168 for the dining per day so they are losing about half the room cost each day. They don't lose as much with the QS. Also, I got the pin for the free qs dining and also the pin for the 20/30/40 and it required a minimum stay and it made it sound like you needed a ticket for the entire stay with it since it said the tickets would be good for one park per day (no hopper). I have my AAA TA checking to see if she can change our 20% AAA to the 40% discount for the 2 bedroom BWV we have for Aug. Since I have never had any luck changing in the past, I'm not getting my hopes up since my guess is they will say there is nothing available for the promo. At least we have 20% off so far which is a better deal for us than the free dining. Priced it both ways last year and we saved more with the room discount.

Thanks for the update on fall promos. Now maybe I can convince my DH to book our airfare for our trip in Aug, before the fares increase.

Will be waiting for the actual announcement on May 3(hopefully)
